My boys

School started today and little Ranger here is already whining and missing the boys. He has gotten bigger even since I took this picture a few days ago. ack.. The chewing is driving me crazy, and we are going through treats like crazy. But he is a great little puppy even with the chewing and I am hoping now that the boys are back at school me and Ranger here can work out a stamping schedule for me. lol Speaking of which Wednesday is the start of the new Christmas Spirit Challenge for Flourishes, be sure to check back I will have a creation to share!
This month has been crazy with the new puppy and other things going on in our house. However it has also been one of those times where you sit back and evaluate some goals and things you want to change. DH and I did just that this weekend. I feel so refreshed and really just recharged. I really appreciate when we can sit down and recharge together as a family but even as a couple. New goals and plans are always a postive thing that really help me to stay focused on what is important. I cherish my family time and some even think its overboard. But I don't think you can ever put enough time into your family. With that being said, I think Ranger needs to go for a walk. :0) Thanks for listening to me babble this morning. Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Sneek Peeks

I just love Sneek Peek time, and Clear Dollar Stamps has a beautiful Christmas selection for you. Just a reminder all the sets you see will be available on Sept 1st over at Clear Dollar Stamps store. Be sure to check out all the sneak peeks from the other DT: Lori, Laurie, Candy, Katie, Cassie, Lisa, Shell, Tricia, Nancy and Christi.
First up we have Christmas inside sentiments John 8:12. I scored around the sentiment after I stamped it out. I had a scrap piece of basic grey eskimo kisses paper that I used for the side panel. Seperated it with some ribbons called Spruce needle and Red Velvet from the CDS ribbon collections and finished it off with a few pearls for accent.

This next card is casing an older card I had made when I first started stamping. This new set is the Christmas inside sentiments Psalm 115:15. I used the christmas basic grey paper called wassil. The spellbinders labels one and seven with a few gold brads for accent.

This rich and pretty image is from the new A Season of Wonder set. I am really taken with this set and how it is drawn. I went with a rich and burgundy color for this one. I added some scallop edge along the panel underneath and a burgundy satin ribbon.

A much softer feel to this card and I combined A Season of Wonder with another new sentiment called Our Savior's Scriptures. I used the pastel copics to color in the image with the sentiment stamped over it. A few pearls to finish it off.

Hope you enjoyed my sneaks, be sure to check out the sneaks for the next 3 days over at Lori's Blog for all the links. Thanks for stopping by!

Another Bizarre journal

Yep here is another one of those notepads that I am altering for the bizarre. This one is smaller and would be perfect for the kids. I used the Bitty Bots set from Clear Dollar Stamps one of my favorite boy sets. Added two brads to the nuts on the sentiment panel. I liked the stitching at the top so I left that for a added touch. Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks for Sept. start on Sat. Be sure to check back! You are going to love them! Thanks for stopping by.

Totally Two Textures

Today on Totally Stampalicious blog its all about textures, 2 textures to be exact. I have a few more but figure what the hay. lol This is Chef Pierre isn't he just so fun. The vibrant and fun colors just seemed to fit this guy today. I hope you get a chance to play along with us and be sure to check out the blog and all the other DT creations today.

Well I am finally done canning green beans and just about all my other canning. The green beans take the longest I think because you have to pick every 2 days and can once a week. ugh. It is worth it the rest of the year. The only thing I have left is stewed tomatoes then done. YES... I am really looking forward to that day. The puppy is doing so good and he is growing super fast. It amazes me the things he has learned already. We have learned a lot also, like don't leave your socks on the floor. crap.... I just bought those for school! I will hopefully have pictures later this week, canning takes over my world this time of year. Glad you stopped in today!

Free for all Friday over at Flourishes

Over at Flourishes blog today it is a free for all! Whohoo... So I thought I would show you another project that I made for my mom's Christmas Bizarre that I am attending with her. This is another one of those recycled journal pen combo's that I told you about on Wednesday. I like that it had the checked panel down the side so I used that to my advantage. This is using the set Sunflowers. I masked in one of the smaller flowers in the set, then a sentiment from the Life Lines set. Added a silver finishing touches ribbon slider with the black checkered ribbon and finished. Now I tired covering the pens that come with these notepads and journals and it didn't look right, plus it was a total pain in the butt to do. lol So I have left them plain.
Now check out what the girls did for their free for all Friday:

Project for Christmas Bizarre

I am getting ready for my mom's Christmas bizarre at their church in November. We are sharing a table and I figured I better get started early this year. I found at our local crafting store these recycle litte journals, notepads and flapped notebooks with pen for $1 each. When I found these it was buy one and get one free. These are perfect so I grabbed quite a few of each. this is one with the little flap and pen inside. I made a matching bookmark to go with the little journal. A lot of these that I will make are going to be little in price so that the kids that come can buy something for their mom or sisters without costing a lot. The little ones are so cute when they come up and have little money but want to buy for their mom. It just makes my heart smile knowing they are wanting to get something really nice for mom.
I used the Miss Anya collection for this set. I also used the Ferns and Fiddles set to stamp lightly in the background of the MB Spearmint dp I used. I used Copic Collections Azure, Flesh tones 2,and Flesh tones 1. A few jewels and ribbons and it's all complete. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Inspiration Challenge baby style

This is for the Inspiration challenge 245 over on SCS called Decade Gifts. This site has some darling items, I liked the baby ones the most. This is the photo I was inspired by called She Snuggles. Well I had to make a He snuggles also or it wouldn't be fair. hee hee Now I have one for either baby shower.
I used the set alled Welcome Little one. I used the spellbinders pendant panel (I don't know the name of it) for the side panel with the stripped ribbon and the crochet ribbon. Added some stickles to the carriages and the brads on the wheels. I love how these turned out.
Over at the Totally Stampalicous blog today the challenge is Pink, Black and White. I will have my creation later this week for you! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.
