Dreaming of....

Hi all and welcome to the third day of Flourishes’ fabulous November Release Sneak Peeks! Today, we take you to a far away place with picturesque scenery, a glass of wine and some fresh picked figs for the tasting. Are you ready for a picnic in Florence? Well we are! Take a sneak peek at this lush new set! From the rich Italian landscape host to Cypress trees and sunflowers to a table set with wine and figs, this set called Dreaming of Florence is sure to add a dreamy feel to your cards or creations. This 4 by 6" set illustrated by Marcella Hawley even offers a handful of beautiful, all occasion sentiments.

I stamped out the figs image from Dreaming of Florence onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I have colored the image with several Copic Collections:

Added a little of the satin finish cotton peach ribbon with a flower centered bow. Then a few rhinestones in the corners. Very simple creation yet it really stands alone without much as this is a yummy image.  :0)  We have Silhouette Files and SVG Files downloads for Dreaming of Florence today as well.

Made 4 U

Welcome to Flourishes November New Release day 2. Today is a fun set that I know several of my friends will love, not to mention my mom. The set today is called Stitched for You. In highschool I took a sewing class and my mom taught me how to do basic sewing including the famous hidden stitch by hand. Past that I do not sew other than the casual torn pant hem or stuffed animal. ha!  However I could muster up a stitch job if needed by hand. Moving on....
I stamped out the material image from Stitched for you onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I then die cut that out using Spellbinders Floral ovals that I popped up on dimensionals. My image is colored using copic collections:

My designer paper is from Echo Park Graceful pad that I did some faux stitching around the edges. I layered that onto more classic white cardstock that was die cut using Spellbinders romantic rectangles. My ribbon is from the Color Made Easy Poppy collection with some crochet lace underneath. My sentiment tag is using our Tailor Made Classic Tags that I attached to the ribbon with ivory jute.  A few tiny buttons from the bin finished it off. We will have the new Silhouette files and SVG Files for the new Stitched with Love over HERE. Might want to check out all the other files while you are there too.  ;0)

Just because, it's all natural

Welcome to Flourishes November new release. We have some beautiful sets for you and hope you enjoy all the sneak peeks. Today I combined my sneak peek with the Timeless Tuesday challenge. This is a photo challenge you can find over on Flourishes Blog. I really like the simplicity of the colors, makes for some warm feeling cards.
I stamped my sentiment with the new set Just Because, Inside and Out onto My Minds Eye Paris  and Co. cardstock. Then I die cut them onto Spellbinders Curved rectangles for a framed shape. Added some beautiful ivory lace trim that I tied off with ivory iridescent ribbon and button ivory jute combo. Added a few pearls and that panel is done. My bottom two layers are using Color Made Easy Collection Rich Browns. I really do like how this turned out.  Be sure to check out the creations from the Design Team Today:

FS301 Merry Christmas

First I would like to say thank you to all our men and women who are currently serving. My family appreciates all you are doing to keep us safe. We would also like to thank your family for the sacrifice they are making while you serve. My family thanks you!
This weeks Featured Stamper 301 is Patty aka LaLatty. I had fun looking through her gallery trying to find which creation I wanted to case. I kept coming back to the same one called Christmas Dasher.

I stamped my reindeer from CDS called Merry Deer onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I colored him with copics and then layered the panel up on dimensionals. I kept the layout, colors and a Christmas card. Changed the deer and added a button. The deer does have some stickles on the snowflakes as well. Hope you get a chance to play along with us this week. Have a great day!

For you Grandma Pat

In jammertown today we are all making a special card for grandma Pat aka Blooms in a box. That's right she is becoming a grandma again for little miss Audrey. You already saw the gift I made for mommy and Audrey HERE. We don't want to forget grandma in all the fun do we?  ;0)  What stories are better than when grandma is reading to you. Better yet when grandma is reading scripture to you so that you are feed the word? Nothing beats those reading times.
I stamped my mousie from Whiff of Joy's summer secret kit onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. She is colored with various copics. My image panel is popped up on dimensionals with a few buttons and ribbon for accents. I even did some fux stitching around the card just becuase that has been super fun lately! Grandma I sure hope you enjoy the new bundle of joy coming your way. Big hugs from me to you! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Flourishes Progressive Challenge

Hi all and welcome to the kick off of Flourishes November release! Are you ready for a new spin on the release week fun? Well, we are! We've gotten some requests and comments lately that more folks wished they could play in our noon time challenges. They were fun-filled ways to win our release, but were too quick for many of you to play. So, we listened to your comments and this release - we're switching things up a bit!
Today, we're hosting a 4-step challenge that will give you not one, not two, not three but FOUR ways to win our New Release Bundle! Here's how it works! Throughout the day, we'll be revealing elements to our progressive challenge. Want the first portion?

STEP 1: Simply use this sketch! Just that easy! Once you are done, be sure to link up your creation below using the Inklinkz widget. HERE'S THE CATCH!!! If you want to be eligible for ALL FOUR ways to win, you need to be progressive and add  your creation to each step of the challenge. You can make 4 cards or wait until all four steps are revealed and incorporate all four steps into one card. BUT, even if you only make one card using all the steps, you need to link it up on all four posts. Random.org will chose four winners so we want to make sure you are counted for each step you used on your creation! If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword FLLCNOV12 as your keyword for all four parts to this challenge.  You have until next Friday, November 16th at 5PM EST to enter – so get those creative juices flowing! You have a shot at four sets valued at more than $60! Woo hoo!

The OFFICIAL Rules…..

Check back on Flourishes Blog at 6AM CST for .... another clue-- STEP 2 is coming your way then!
Now for my creation.....

I actually made this for my DH as he was headed on a business trip to Washington DC at the same time Hurricane Sandy was going to hit. Luckily he did not end up going and stayed home with us. Now I have a card to give him another time, always prepared! :0)   First I stamped my image from A Guiding light onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I then die cut the circle using Spellbinders Classic circles and Scallop circles. My boat is colored using copic collections:

I did a little faux stitching around my designer paper from Authentique Loyal collection. This paper is perfect for masculine cards. Tied off my beautiful ivory iridescent ribbon with a button and kraft jute combo and voila! I do really like making masculine cards.
Be sure to check out the sketch from Heather  and Danielle  as they played along in Step 1,  sketch only with me. Don't forget about our Gamblers Sale!  Have a fun filled weekend!
