Happy Monday! I spent sometime catching up on last weeks entries for the HM&F Challenge. Sorry for the late comments, I had a busy week. Today is a fun challenge Tag... Yep use a tag any tag on your card. I used the tag punches from SU. Ofcourse I covered it with primas, but its there. I didn't want a sentiment so I put primas instead. lol So make sure to leave a link so we can see your creation or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find it. The DT again came out with some fabo cards, make sure to check them out! This week if you play along and enter you have a chance of winning a prize. So go check it out!!!

On a side note, football is so strange this season. I am sorry to say Judy but you have a loss now.... :0( So here are the numbers... We had a bye this week.

Soft Joy

Happy Thursday! What a morning already! sheessh... Okay first off here is sketch 62 for Sketches by Tamara This sketch has so many options. I chose a soft side to Christmas this time around. I used my set from Flourishes (surprise surprise) that is called Rejoice. You can find that here. I don't have the fancy die cuts for the scallop borders so don't look too close, I had to use my scissors to make the border. hee hee Its a great sketch and the DT cards are awesome! So go check out the sketch, play along and make sure to leave a link so we can find your cards!

Second... I got a cell phone.. YEAH... its been about 4 years since I have had one and we will see how much use I get out of it. I only used it like once a week before. I am hoping I will use it more now, since it got a fortune. EEK... But its super cool and does all kinds of stuff that well.... I have no clue about. But DH is giving me the crash course on how to use it. LOL

Hope you ahve a wonderful day!

Cocoa Gift Package

Lots to share today. First off is this little gift set I thought I would share. I have a basket that this will go in with the insulated mug that is from my MIL store. It says Prasie (psalm 66:1-2) scripture on it. I changed the sentiment from Coffee with friends to Cocoa with friends since I have two hot chocolate packets wrapped together. (just realized I spelled it wrong looking at the picture I will change that... duh!) I added some marshmallows for the cocoa as well. The card will be what I write in. I think this is a great idea for the boys teachers for Christmas also. So I plan to make more. You can click on the gift pack for a closer look at the sponging and the paper piecing as well.
Second make sure you check back tomorrow for another Monday Mouse Madness and see what the new challenge is for the House Mouse and Friends blog. And last but not least.... the NFL scores to date. hee hee

Game day today, we will see what the new status will be tonight! hee hee Have a wonderful day!

Mustard flower Thanks

Its Thursday which means time for Sketches by Tamara This sketch was awesome. I love how this turned out. The mustard flowers were taken from this awesome basic grey dp. I tend to use gold around fall and Christmas more than any other time. Just seems fitting I guess. This is a 3 1/2 x 6 size card base.
Anyways.... I hope you have a chance to check out the sketch and see all the other wonderful cards the DT came up with! Make sure to post a link so we can see your take on the sketch!

Have a wonderful day!

Its here.....

Yes Sunset book number 4 in the series by Karen Kingsbury is in my hot little hands... Since my MIL owns a christian bookstore we get the books early (can't sell them early) but I can read the store copy before anyone. WHOHOO!!!! Oh this series is fantastic! Just thought I would share that little tidbit of info. hee hee
Make sure you check back tomorrow for Sketches By Tamara. I have an awesome card to show you that I did for the sketch. I am very pleased with it! Have a wonderful evening... Off to read!

MMM Can you paper piece

Happy Monday! Oh what a weekend.... First I would like to say what a day of Football yesterday. Wow.... We pulled it out in the second half and I am so glad! That was a ruff game. This season is going to keep me on my toes I can see it now. Okay onto the challenge....

This week it's can you paper piece. Now I don't know about you but paper piecing HM is really hard. I did manage to search through my HM and found this one, so I paper pieced the watering can. Hence the *can* you paper piece. LOL Noone said I had a funny side to me. haha I got this ribbon from Billie (myboys), thank you so much! You can see the picture closer by clicking on it. It was a sunny day out when I took this, so the shadow is pretty noticeable.

So check out the other DT cards here, and make sure to play along with us. Leave a link or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your creation!

Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

MMM On A Budget

Happy Monday! I am ready to start the new week after yesterdays upset with the Colts. I am not surprised, just dissapointed. Manning will get back into a rhythm and things will be back to normal soon. Till then lets talk mice... lol

This weeks challenge on House Mouse and Friends was On A Budget. To make a card that cost less than $2.00 not counting paper, inks, or stamps. This is perfect for me this year, because I spent way too much on postage last year. This year I need to either mail fewer cards or have the postage cost less per card.

This card was not expensive to make. The ribbon was two pieces from the bin so lets say .05 to be on the high side. The jewels are .01 each so .04 total. The sparkle is not even counted seriously but for name sake how about .05 cents. And that is it. Maybe .15 cents total.

Not bad and I used one of my new house mouse stamps. This stamp can go a lot of directions if you aren't worried about cost. I have a few ideas that I will have to work on later with this one. For those *hand* delivered cards. hee hee So come play with us and lets see what you got. Make sure to check out the other DT cards with the link above.

Hope you all have a wonderful week! Stacy

Awww... today is the first Sunday of the Regular season. Doesn't it feel good? I woke up today with a smile. yes..... So here are the standing so far..... I will make sure to keep you all updated as we go. LOL Ofcourse we are giving you the main three that are important, but I will spotlight some others as the season goes on!

Good luck girlies!!!! hee hee

Christmas on a budget

Last year I made about 75 cards and spent about $45 on postage for those cards. This year DH told me to either mail less or make it cost less for postage. LOL So the theme of these cards is beautiful but small postage. haha

I got my new Flourishes stamps yesterday that I had won in the drawing for Sept. I am sure Jan Marie will cringe if I win anything again, I caused some confusion for her. haha Hopefully she won't hold that against me. Flourishes is having blog candy on their Newsletter be sure to check it out if you own Flourish stamps!

I love this Angel and the set has so many options to it. I really like how these turned out and hope you do too. If you want to see the scoring better or a closer look just click on each picture. Make sure to check back Monday for another Monday Mouse Madness challenge. Have a wonderful Saturday!

Good morning! Today is the first day of my time with Sketches by Tamara design team. YEA! Here is the card I made using the sketch this week. So fun and you can use up all those small scraps you have been saving forever. lol This is sketch #60.

I like the springy colors. This flower is from a new set from Gina K called Flowers for Daisy. Its a wonderful set and I like the scriptures that come in the set also.

I hope you can all find sometime to stamp today. Check out the other DT cards, they are wonderful! have a blessed day!

Manning my HERO

I bet you thought I meant Peyton.... well this card is for Eli. Why is Eli my hero, well he was able to beat the Patriots in the Super bowl last year. Talk about a big upset for the Patriots, but a great day in NFL history. In my humble opinion. bawahahaha! Everyone has so much to say about the Patriots and how great they are. Well it just goes to show you that any given Sunday anyone can be the hero.

I am sending this card to my wonderful friend Angel's DH who is a big Giants fan and they were the first phone call I made after last years super bowl win. Here is to another great year!

Make sure you check out the first game of the regular season Thursday night! Giants are playing and lets see what they got this year.
