The panel is then die cut with Stitched Mats Rectangles layered on some gingham die cut in the same dies. A little bit of swiss dots texture to the white card base and my sentiment popped up on a dimensional. Voila! Hope you have time to color today.

Good morning! Welcome to the Lil' Inker Designs and CardMaker Blog Hop! We are super excited to have you hopping along with us.

If you just arrived from Laura's blog you are in the correct place.

Just starting with us, head back over to the CardMaker Blog to start hopping from the start! We are all thinking fall and the beautiful colors of fall this hop. My sentiment is from the Just Sayin' Stamp set. A textured panel behind the sentiment for fun. How about these awesome flowers? They are using the fun Perky Posies die set. The die set has a few different shaped flowers and sizes. I adore the stitched middles as they go with the Stitched Retangles die. Added a few pearls to the center of the flowers and the edges and voila!

Be sure to hop on to the next stop at the
  Lil' Inker Designs Blog!

Lil' Inkers is offering up a $35 gift certificate to one lucky winner for hopping along with us. Check out the Lil' Inkers blog  for details. Happy Hopping!

Our Manning and Rodgers

hee hee !! Good morning! Just for the record I did not choose their numbers, they did. #3 was taken other wise 18 would of been 3 for Wilson, but I kinda like #18.  :-)  They are playing like Manning and Rodgers if you ask us!!!!  We only have a few games left and thought I need to share at least one picture. Time gets away from me and I forget. They were already dressing down in this picture after the game, but I like their smiles. We made history in middle school football with this game and they earned it. What a game! Both sides of the ball were outstanding!

We play 8 man football and only have 10 players this year. Gasp!  That means, yes they play both defense and offense and are on the field the entire game. This is not a bad thing as we get lots of playing time and experience on both sides of the ball. The teams we play, well they usually have a few more players and can sub in fresh players which makes for some interesting games. This team you see in the back we played last year and they totally creamed us and we thought it would be the same this year. They have about 25 players to our 10. However this year it was a TIE 19/19 game and what a game. Curtis scored 2 TD and Nathan scored 1 TD. They score extra points different in MS football and we only made 1 of the extra points hence the 19 score. The twins and only one other of the boys are returning players from last year so they are really excited that they tied this game.
The sportsmanship from these men is wonderful and I could not be more proud of them. The entire team to be honest is amazing. We really enjoy watching them play and just have fun! I am already talking to the HS coach and trying to find my place on the sidelines for next year. No way I am gonna be regulated to the stands... I get too excited running down the field side lines with them. hee hee  Some of my videos are interesting as the camera is shaking as I run and you hear me screaming run run you got this. LOL  Yes, I am that mom. Someone's gotta do it.  ;-)

On another note we have been so busy reviving and making changes to the Booster Club as we are now president and secretary. Did I mentioned that here? Needless to say God gave us this passion and vision for where he wants the club to go for future and we are trying to put that into motion. Talk about blind faith!! God has been sending us confirmation after confirmation that this is what he wants us to do and yet at times are like " are you sure we can do that" ? Isn't it funny as man we still doubt at times if it can be done. It seems too big or out of reach. I am telling myself daily that it is the blind faith that will keep that doubt away. We changed over to this school 3 years ago and the first year was a rough transition. I look back now and think what an amazing time he helped us grow as we are now in another growing stage, yet different growth. This is more growth for John and myself and stretching us in areas we have been "comfortable" in I would say. For John to step up and be president you know it had to be God. ha ha We are very involved in a lot of the boys activities but president is one thing we never would of planned to do. All the ideas and vision we have brought to the school board and the athletic director have been the spark they have been needing. God is so good! As our pastor said last week, God knows the answers, before we even see the problem.

Being that it is World Card Making Day, not sure I am going to get any creating in today but I sure hope to try.  Thanks for listening and sharing in my little piece of life today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Fall Friday

It seems like fall around here with our weather change. The distinct seasons is one of the reasons I love living here. Aaaahhh... I hope your Friday is gonna be awesome. Power Poppy has some awesome stuff coming down the pike from our newest Power and Spark Challenge, World Card Making Day, Hope You Can Cling To and our New Release and...and...and... The month of October is going to be so AWESOME! We have some fun coming your way for sure! So let's get to my creation today.

Went a little black and white using Olive and Oak for this creation. I liked just the hint of color on the image where the rest is shaded in grey, black and whites using Copic markers. Then a bit of color in just a few parts. The designer paper was my inspiration for the color theme. Shaped the layers using Spellbinders Grand labels and wrapped a bit of green olive like ribbon and lacey mesh around the one layer.

Here is a close up of the sparkle that I added to the leaves. My photo's never show it unless I hold it like this. The goldish like sparkle really looks cool in real life on this card.  :-)  Be sure to check out the PP Blog for World Card Making Day Challenge Oct 3rd, Hope You Can Cling To Challenge and more!!!

October Christmas challenge

It is October 1st and that means the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted. This months challenge is Ring a ling.... Hear them sing.... Create a card with an image of carolers, music notes, drums, bells, anything that makes sound. Have fun with it. Be sure to link up your creations over in the DD Forum HERE

I had two thoughts with this challenge and the first one I went with which is these beautiful bells from Jingle Bells. They are stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. Layered onto the ODBD Vintage Label Die and cut around with some of the rich velvet red card stock. The designer paper is from the ODBD Winter 2014 Collection die cut in the ODBD Recipe and Tags die. Added my sentiment using Mini Tags Die, finished it off with some ribbon, sequins and sparkle, Voila! Hope you can play along this month.

In a nutshell...

Needless to say my stamping is in waves lately and I had to force myself to sit down and create this weekend. I did manage to get a card done for a friend using this adorable House Mouse called Mice Wishes.  He is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Simple stitched rectangle of designer paper and some fun paper for the base. Wrapped lace and ribbon around before I adhered the mice panel. Added a button and twine to the sentiment tag and then some sequins and stickles to the water effect. Voila!

FS451 Lavendar friend

This weeks Featured Stamper 451 is Penny Strawberry, fun user name right.  She has a delightful gallery and lots to choose from for creations. I choose this Vandys Birthday card to case. I kept with the over all layout, similar flower stem, lace edges and jewels in the corner. Changed the flower, some of the colors and the panel is shorter. Enjoy your week!

These Easy Breezy Coneflowers are just so easy to print and color. They are colored with various copic markers then layered onto some dark eggplant card stock die cut in a beautiful borders trim. Added a piece of sheer ribbon down the side and a few jewels to the top corner. Super easy. Hope you have a great day!
