Pencil Peonies

Well it was time to pull out the Prisma colored pencils again and color this one called Irresistible Peonies. Isn't is lovely? I have the clear set called Peony Muse and you can create just about any arrangement you want with the set. The Prisma colored pencils were needing to be used again so  grabbed three or four and went to town. I ADORE how these leaves turned out with the hints of banana. Very soft and pretty.

This all started because I had this banana colored heart die cut sitting on the desk and that was my color focus with the purple. Added some swiss dots to the green and then my sentiment from Loving Tulips and some sequins and sparkle. Voila!

Next chapter

Well this is the last of my creations for the Round and Round challenge this month over on the Power Poppy Blog. Hopefully you had time to play this month and entered for your chance to win some Power Poppy bucks!  Check out the blog for all the details.

Went super easy with just a round base for my image, part of the new digital blitz Marcy did called Lilacs and Lemons. Colored with various Copic markers and some pearls for accents. Pierced around the base of the designer paper and added some die cut flourishes in the yellow to bring out the lemons more in the image. A little sparkle to the lilacs and voila!

How enough you are

Morning! This sentiment from M Powering Words  says so much with just so few words don't you think? I made this card special for someone and I know that these words will be so important to hear. Really this sentiment I could create several cards with and send to a few people and know that they need to hear just this. For now this one was mailed yesterday and they will have it shortly. Now when you see this post know that I love you dearly.

Wondering what this stamp set is? Well it is Hellebore and Hyacinth that I am inking up finally. The designer paper is from my stack of paper that was my color inspiration for this card. Only added some sequins and a tiny banner die cut for accents. Sparkle on the water and voila! Thanks for stopping by today.

Delicious Raspberries thank you

The other day a good friend of ours brought over a large basket of fresh raspberries she picked from their backyard and they were DELICIOUS! I think we ate most of them standing their in the kitchen talking. I thought a thank you card would be perfect with just that some delicious raspberries on the front. :-)

This is Berry It that is printed on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. I added some sparkles to the yellowish spots I colored and it looks so cool I think. Some scraps of desinger paper to the white base and then I wrapped some twine around and a button bow to finish it off. Voila! Have a great day.

It's a wild Father's day

Happy Friday! One of the Father's day cards I created this year using Wild Mushrooms. Yes not your normal FD card but I liked how it turned out. Check out this cool picture I found of these Chanterelle mushrooms. I never really knew the colors they came in either.

The matching dies to Wild Mushrooms was perfect as I die cut them and popped them up on dimensionals above the circle. Added the single brad to the circle panel before adhering to the base panels.

This designer paper was in my stack and matched the colors I was needing. Pierced down the edge of the brown cardstock and sponged the embossed circles. Voila!

Made my day

Happy Wednesday. I made another one for the  Power and Spark challenge this month. It is all about Round and Round. Corners, card, shape, objects... just go with round. How about a little cheating and pre-round with a Spellbinders Die that has rounded corners? hee hee  I do have pearls on here that counts towards the round also.

These blooms are from Abundant Petals that I have cut around and popped up on dimensionals. Some designer paper layered onto some white and added to the base. My heart border is from a retired WOJ die that I just adore. A few pearls and voila! Easy Peasy!
Thanks for stopping by.

Fly dad

Here is one of the Father's day cards I had created this year. Yes I know I am late in sharing them but time has been limited on the computer lately. At least I am sharing them this year as I think last year I forgot to take pictures and post them at any point. ha ha  Anyways...

This is Fly Guy that is printed and colored with Copic markers. I added some piercing around the base edges, the bottom of the image panel and the sentiment panel. Also for fun some water coloring along the bottom of the sentiment panel for fun. Sparkles to the water and voila!

Digital Blitz at Power Poppy

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Digital Blitz! That sweet Marcy has gone and done it again with her creativity and has 11, yes count it 11 digital images created from her original clear stamp designs. Marcy has taken a few of the favorites in clear, did a little revamp and added some new sentiment for you digital lovers out there. How cool is she!!! Not to mention the generous sale she has going on right now. Be sure to see the PP Blog for all the details of these 11 new beauties, details and exclusions. Print, color and enjoy today!

My creation is a summery feeling one that was pretty easy to create. Good thing to as this weekend was pretty crazy. The clear set called Sunny Harvest is a set that I love in itself and to have a new sentiment to go with either is great. The new Bring Home Some Sunflowers can be found HERE. I really wanted the sentiment at an angle and was having issues on figuring out how to do that. With the help of one of the boys, and two seconds later he has it all done for me. Kids I tell ya... Anyways moving on.  :-)

Something about sunflowers in pink and yellow makes me smile. Dug through my pile of designer paper and found this which was perfect. Die cut a heart border and added some gingham ribbon to the top. A few sparkly enamel dots and sparkles to the sunflowers and voila!

Be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for all the new Instant Garden Digitals released today. Along with the list of 11 new digi's.
If you happen to print and color today, play along in our Power and Spark Go Round and Round challenge this month. Or check out the Hues To Use challenge this week. Have a wonderful day!

Gift for Ann

Morning, finally completed a birthday gift for my best friend Ann. When I saw this wood pallet like piece at the store I knew I wanted to give my hand at stenciling and adding some blooms. This statement was perfect as I made my first attempt. Mind you I need more work but I think it turned out great.

The awesome blooms are from Abundant Petals and the matching dies. Yes I could of cut them all out but why when I have the dies. ha ha  Plus their is a LOT of blooms here. Each bloom is individual and popped up on dimensionals. Added lots of sparkle to them all that I tried to capture with the outside light but not so much. Hand delivered and she LOVED it!

Here is a close up of the bottom flowers. One thing that does come to mind after this project and that is I need to take a class on how to arrange flowers. Not only for real flowers but the paper variety as well. hee hee  With my some what inexperience I think I did okay for the first round. Now I have another idea to get started on with the stenciling. Squeel... like I need another new hobby. HA!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Congrats Poppy

Good morning. Hopefully you had a good weekend. Today is the first day of summer at our house and boy are they excited.  ;-)  What shall we do with these long lazy days? How about a little coloring? Grabbed my Poppy XL and colored up a congrats card today.

Now I have to say that normally when I decide to color with red shades I cringe. They never seem to turn out quite like I want or blend or whatever other reason. However this card actually I think turned out pretty good in red hues don't you? This poppy is so fun to color and I wanted it to be the focus so very little embellishments. A simple dippled border verses my scored border I tend to do. A few sequins and voila. Look ma... so sparkles even. hee hee  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your first week of summer. Woot woot!

Round two

Happy Friday! If you missed it last week over on the Power Poppy blog the June Power and Spark posted and it is round and round. Add rounded corners one, two or more, round shaped card or round objects. You get the idea. Play along and post your creation over on the PP Blog for your chance to win $50 in Power Poppy Bucks.

My first creation was a round shaped card with round items, so today is all about the rounded corners. Well two corners to be exact and some buttons.  :-) This is Big Sexy Leaves for my card. I stamped the image and colored with various Copic markers. Rounded the two right corners and added a scallop edge in black cardstock to the left. Some textures to the base chocolate cardstock and then a few buttons for my sentiment flags. Voila!

2018 Graduations

Morning. It dawned on me that I had not shared the graduation cards I had created for this year.  I always personalize the grad cards with each kids favorite scripture. It is one of the best ideas I came up with and I am rather popular for it among the grad's now.  :-)  Reading each kids favorite is fun and most of the time I can see why they choose their verse based on the personality of the kid. Anyways... Here is what this year's cards will look like.

Grabbed the numbers dies and scored a box panel around the edge. Some die cut balloons and streamers. Each scripture is different so I had to adjust the placement on a few but this is the over all layout. Some sparkle and sequins, voila! Happy Graduation all around.  ;-)  Now someone asked me if I create it for each graduate and NO, I am not crazy. Just the close friends and family of the graduates that we know. I better start thinking up what to create now to get ahead of the game for next year. ha ha  Thanks for stopping by!

Friendship hives

Happy Monday. We made it through graduation and all the parties this weekend. What a great group of kids this year, sure going to miss them all. In visiting with everyone I came to the conclusion that next years class is going to be the hardest other than when the boys graduate. They are pretty tight with this class since they have been with them since 6th grade. EEK. I guess that is just part of life.   Anyways... onto my card today.

Bee Kind Toile stamp set was calling my name. Not sure this turned out quite like I wanted but I was just happy to get some stamping time in lately. The flowers are stamped on the white base for a background. I die cut the Spellbinders frame like I usually do but cut the bottom off and not doing that again. I like the full frame of the die cut for the base. Live and learn right.  :-)  Added some crochet ribbon between the layers and my sentiment on vellum with some pearl accents. Voila!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
