Mountain men

Good morning. Pulled out another stamp that is no longer available and one of my favorite stamps for guy cards. This was called Mountain View. After camping this weekend I knew some cards were coming out with this set. It was truly beautiful where we went and I wanted to stay longer. It inspired me to get a few guy cards done that were a request.
My first one also used an embossing die I bought and have used only once of the deer head. It was the perfect texture backdrop that I wanted.  Some more of the designer paper from the pile for the base layers. Added a few brads to the corner and my sentiment strip.

Next up with the same set is something I have seen on cards and I only have done maybe once or twice. Instead of coloring the entire back image I did the whole dot thing. Not sure if there is a technical name for it but the mountains are only colored well mostly with dots in several shades. I really like how that turned out with the elk on this one. Added some piercing around the edges, again more of this designer paper I have had forever. Added a few enamel dots to this one and a fish tale end. Voila!

So many more idea's with this guy but I have to work on the other cards in the request. Don't worry I have them jotted down so I don't lose inspiration on the ideas.  ;-)  Thanks for stopping by.

It might be drizzling out

Good morning. These guys using the petals for umbrellas make me giggle. I don't know how they came up with so many adorable stamps but I just love them still. This is another retired one sorry. I am pretty sure that all mine are retired at this point.  ;-(

Another one with some scraps of designer paper. Swiss dots texture was added to half the base layer on this one. Sparkle added to the rain drops and voila!

Masculine trio

Morning. Pulled out a few oldie but goodie stamps last week. I have a request for a few masculine cards and Antique Map and Guiding Light are both some of my favorite for guy cards. These are retired but still great for cards. Now I just needs to get some mojo going with them. Shheeesshhh.

My first one the Antique map is the background with just a few die cut hearts over the center with a sentiment in the middle. Easy and quick.

This second one started to come together a little bit better for me in what I pictured. I divided the map up and layered it with chocolate card stock. I do like the twine knots in the corner of the sentiment circle. Can't tie a fancy knot so these will have to do. ha!

This one turned out just as I pictured using Guiding light. The hints of sparkle that I added to the water and sand actually photographed. yea! I do like coloring on kraft paper with Prisma colored pencils. That is something I plan to do more often.

Well a few masculine cards down but I have more to go.  :-)  Hope you have a great day.

Birthday duo

Good morning! How about a boy and girl birthday card using the same stamp? One of my favorite birthday House Mouse's I have. First up is the girl birthday card. Hot pink all around so whoever gets this better like pink. hee hee  The designer paper was from the scrap bin as I have been using a lot of paper from their lately Added a few die cut balloons and a scallop edge to the base layers. Stamped my sentiment and then added sparkles.

My second one is for a boy birthday. This one using the same die cut balloons but different colors and some simple layers as well. Sparkle to finish it off.

I am just about done with my other House Mouse images that I colored. Then I need to work on a new request from a friend for some cards. I do love these guys and glad I colored up a few during meetings a few weeks ago. hee hee  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Wash your hands please

Happy Friday! Wash Your Hands , have you seen it and used it yet? I forgot I even colored this up and needed to post it. Ack! Still relevant anytime I would say.  :-)  I used some of my new Prisma colored pencils that I got. Still trying to learn new ways to shade with them from video's I ahve been watching.

I like how the bubbles turned out on this with the hints of sparkle that I added to them.
A simple stitched die cut for the image panel and layered onto some green card stock and added to the base. Voila!

Grape day

This guy looks so content in his little grape bed. Another one of the House Mouse that was colored from last weekend. It is so much easier when all your coloring is done and you just have to put it together. ha ha!

Pretty easy since I knew when coloring this one I wanted it to be on the shaped die cut. Haven't used the big dies in awhile so figure this was going to be perfect for him. Added textured dots to the base layer panel wrapped with some lace trim and ribbon. A few sequins accents and some sparkle on the leaf. Voila! Have a great day!

Hugs and tea anyone

Good morning! Another House Mouse card from the images I colored up last weekend. Oh isn't this one so sweet. Makes me smile at these guys. Stamped the larger image and colored with various Copic markers.

Used up some more of the scrap designer paper for the base from another card last week. Oh and I am using up all kinds of die cuts in the scrap bin like these two the heart and button with twine wrapped through them. My sentiment and some sparkle on the marshmallows. Voila!
Have a wonderful day!

Mother's day Duo

Happy Friday! I would say I was cutting it short since Mother's day is this Sunday and I just now got these cards done a few days ago. They are done and off to the mail already. They are both using Tree Peony digital that I haven't used in awhile.
My first one I used the scrap of designer paper for my color choices. Added a scallop die cut to the edge and adhered to the base layer. Colored my peony with various Copic markers and cut around to pop up on the base. Then added a few jewels and some sparkle. The tiny arrow was in the die cut scrap bin and fit nicely at the bottom.

My second creation is inspired by more of the designer paper from Wild Rose pack I found a little bit ago. Colored my peony with various Copic markers and then cut around the edges also for this card. Die cut an oval and sponged some lavendar on before I removed the die. Again another die cut from the scrap bin with some twine threaded through. Sparkle and voila!

They opened up the forest land yesterday so we are hitting the jeep trails tomorrow. Woot woot! I have a list of cards to create for friend request that I am working later this week. Some oldie but goodie stamps are pulled out for these bad boys.  :-)  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Trio of leaves

How about a trio of Big Sexy Leaves creations today? It ended up being a trio because I wasn't paying attention while cutting and well I just ended up this way. My intention was to create a set of cards like I did with the large daisy stamp a few weeks ago. You can see those creations here if you want. I only got three cards out of this cut, but that is three cards.  :-)
First up I thought I would have a portion colored and the rest of the background a black and white for spot light focus yet as a strip instead of a circle.  So I stamped another set of the leaves for the background. My birthday sentiment with a metal swirl that has sat in the bins forever.

Here is the second card I created with a larger strip from the colored piece. I added some piercing down the edges of the green layer. My sentiment is from a retired set Party Time. A few enamel dots for accents.

My last one where I cut the strips into three different sizes for a more clean feeling against the white base. Wrapped ribbon and twine around the top. Die cut a Father's day Sentiment and a button with twine.

Now I just need to stamp out the leaves again and cut it the right way. ha ha  Thanks for stopping by!

Relaxing is mice

Good morning! Well we did not get out jeeping Saturday as planned since the governor extended the stay at home order until May 31st. Which was not what we wanted to hear at all. :-(  The mood was not relaxing one bit like you see below in this little furry guy. A lot of coloring did get done this weekend though to try and soothe my nerves. Now to put them into cards like this one. This must be retired also as I can't find it on the Stampendous site either, sorry.

This is super basic with just a stitched rectangle die for the image panel. Colored with various Copic markers. Added a scrap piece of designer paper from the bin with a green piece. A sentiment to match the little fat guy and some sequins. Voila! At least this makes me happy.  :-)  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Rejoice in May

Today our Dirty Dozen May Christmas challenge is posted and awaiting your creations. I think May is my favorite month this year, hee hee. If you would like to play along check us out HERE.

My creation is using one of the images in Winter Flora and my new Prisma's colored pencils I ordered. Colored pencils are soft and warm feeling and I just struggle using them. However each time I do gain some progress and learn something new. Like on this card I had seen a somewhere that when you use the blender to smooth out the lines, if you want to transfer some of the color over to other parts don't clean it off before you go to the next color. So I used some of the green from the leaves and then colored the petals and same with the yellow. So a bit of it transferred over and I do like how it looks.
My plan this weekend is to watch a few more video's and practice some more. Wrapped some ribbon and silver cord around the top and little bit of sparkle and jewels for accents. Voila!
