Wintertime Kisses

Happy Thursday! Today is the last day of sneak peeks for Clear Dollar Stamps October sneak peeks. All the sets you have seen the last few days will be available tomorrow October 1st. Today I am showing you the October Card Kit called Wintertime Kisses. You will recieve in this kit all the papers, two kinds of flower soft, ribbons, jewels, crochet flowers, brads, and two different snowflake sizes plus much more than I can list. This is a fabulous kit and I paired with it the Snow Tweet that will be coming out tomorrow as well. I told you I loved this snowman set. :0) The colors for this kit were perfect for the set I thought.
Here is a group photo and it is not a very good photo, I am sorry about that. I couldn't get anything that would work but the light box. So this will have to do. I took a few singles to show you of my favorite in the group. I love them all though so it was hard to choose.

here is one where I only used the top half of the snowman. Isn't it adorable even with just the top half. hee hee

This one I used just the sentiment and some of the snowflakes in the kit. A great card that is quick and easy with just a sentiment.

I went a little green on this one and a real feel for the snow with the flower soft. I liked the variety of the dp in the kit being double sided you have lots of options to choose from.

Be sure to check out Lori and Katie's creations with the Wintertime Kisses Card Kit.
I hope you enjoyed all the sneak peeks. Happy Shopping tomorrow!
Don't forget October 1st is the Christmas Spirit Challenge for Flourishes. I will have a post bright and early with the challenge and my creation for you! See you then.

Snow Tweet Sneak peek

Day 3 for Clear Dollar Stamps October release. I am a total snowman nut so when Clear Dollar Stamps showed me this set I squelled! This was the funnest set to make sneak peeks for. I had a blast using this set called Snow Tweet! Isn't he just adorable. So many option for colors. This first one I had a corner piece that is a little different for me but thought I would give it a try. I added tiny pearls to all the snowflakes as well. And a little bit of sparkle on the ground. I love how this turned out.

This next combo is a journal and bookmark that I will be selling at my mom's bazarre this year. I made a different bookmark than the traditional with the nessties shape and the ribbon end. I like how that turned out and I plan to make a few more of those. The journal was .50 at the LSS and I recovered it to look so much cuter. hard tos ee but there is sparkles and stickles all over these snowmen.

Now check out the sneaks from the girls:Angela

Jabez Prayer Sneak Peek

Happy Monday! I made it out alive on Friday. I had an interesting weekend adjusting to these things. I have to say I almost got sick I had myself so worked up but over all it took about 20 min and I was done. Dh was giving me a bad time saying uhoh... the are putting black and yellow bands on honey, not the blue and white like you asked. hee hee I would be taking these things off myself if I had those colors. :0) He really got a giggle out of teasing me. I am a little achy but other than that it doesn't hurt much. I did get a horrible headache and I took a 2 hour nap Friday. So hopefully that won't be the case for too long. Eating is interesting I have pretty much slobbered all over myself most of the time. You never really know how much you use your lips and teeth when you are eating till you get braces. LOL I do appreciate your prayers and asking how I am doing. You are all so sweet. Now onto the sneaks....
Today is day 2 of Clear Dollar Stamps October Sneak peeks. All the sets you will be seeing the next few days are available on October 1st at the CDS store.
Today we will be showing you 4 sets. This one is called Jabez Prayer. I made a little trio of cards with some black and white websters paper, and a few white flowers I had laying around. Very simple set but I do like how the black and white looks with cards.
Be sure to check out the sneaks from the girls today:Angela
Candy
Cassie

See you back here tomorrow for more sneaks! Have a great day.

Thank you

Today is a free for all Friday over on Flourishes Blog. I pulled out the new Apple of my Eye set and made a thank you card. This set is beautiful and I have to say its becoming a favorite set fast. This thank you sentiment is from the Tag lines sentiment set. I added some of this faux suede red ruffled ribbon with the ribbon slider to the side. This is a quick and simple card.

The other girls have worked up a few creations for you to see today as well:
Christine
Julie
Laura
Leslie
Dawn
Danielle
Hope you have an exciting weekend planned with the family. Depending on how things go this morning I might be resting a lot this weekend. I know that I have myself worked up quite a bit this morning. I am really praying that its all for nothing and getting these braces on turns out to be a fear that I can laugh about later. I will keep you posted. Enjoy your weekend!

Fuchsias Bookmarks

I made some more bookmarks for the bazarre that I am doing this November. I used the Fuchsias in Bloom set from Flourishes. I added the smile sentiment from the Tag lines set and a few jewels. Very clean and crisp looking bookmarks that I hope do well.
Friday I have the big day.... Yup the braces are going on bright and early in the morning. So if you could say a little prayer for me that would be great. I am nervous about this whole thing. I only get the top on this week, thank goodness. I might not go through with the bottom if this doesn't go well. ha-ha Kidding I don't even know if you could do that. Anyways... Thanks for stopping by today.

This set is called Windows to the world. I went with the hawaiin window. I would love to be looking out a window like that about now. hee hee I stamped out the leaves twice and popped them up on dimensionals.

This next set is the Fuchsias in Bloom set. I have made several things with this one already. This one was for a friend very simple with the focus on the flower. I am also using these square (turning them to look like diamonds) rhinstones a lot lately. :0)

Flourishes September Sneak Peeks

Yea! Finally they are here.. right? Right! Today we are going to show you sneak peeks of Apple of my eye. This was a sketch gone wrong. ha ha I was trying to make a card using the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 66 last week but I forgot the top panel, oh well it doesn't look to bad this way. hee hee I added a few pearls and some sheer ruffle red ribbon. I also stamped out the basket weave for the back panel.

Next is a close up of just the bulletin board in my gift set you will see below. I bought this cork board frame for a $1 I believe a few weeks ago. I painted the frame red and stamped out the apples for the center photo. Somewhere I saw these apple thumb tacks that I want to add to the cork for them to use and it would totally finish this off. Now to remember where I saw them at. lol

Here is the complete gift set that I made for Sandy. She loves apples and her kitchen is entirely apples. I have a gift set of cards and bag for her, a little coffee mug (template I found online) with apple cider added inside the cup, a few candies with a tag using the smaller apple in the set. This wood tray I bought years ago and I mean years ago and it sat out for ever never being used. I guess I just had planned so far in advance that I didn't know what I was doing. ha-ha I painted it red and the inside of the apples a dark green. Used some of the chocolate gingham ribbon tied to the handles and on the cider cup for fun.

Now check out the fabulous sneaks from the girls

Another Wedding Day in our family

My youngest sister got married this weekend and here is our group photo of the wedding party. Yes her DH has Irish roots of some sort so they went with the Kilts for the men attire. I think the socks are totally cute, I would wear them. lol The wedding was wonderful and my brother in-law's parents own the gardens they had the wedding at. They have a beautiful wedding garden and I wish I could of shown you the whole place. Fountains and flowers all over, just awesome.

Here is the group with the bag pipes player. He is also the dean at my mom's college she teaches at. You just never know anyones talents until you ask. He did a FABO job with those pipes I have to say. I really like this photo of them all.

Here is all 3 of us girls with the new brother in-law! My sister on the right got married this last December, its hard to believe it has almost been a year for them. They travelled 8 hours to be here and in the wedding. I really do wish they lived closer.

And here is the love of my life with me in yet another wedding photo. :0) Come 2 weeks from now our smiles will look different, we are under going an adventure together. We are both getting braces . ACK.... Looks like a little under 2 years for both of us. The good news is I can have colored bands on mine. I am thinking blue and white bands.... wonder what that would be for? hee hee Thanks for sharing our family day with us.
I have a lot of things to catch up on and will try to do that this week. One thing is Flourishes Sept. Sneak Peeks Begins on 9-15 Wed! You won't want to miss any of the sneaks! Be sure to check back! Have a wonderful day.

Now onto my creation. I had such a mojo issue this week. I can't stamp to save my life it seems. LOL Not to mention my fingers hurt from all this paper work and tearing out pages for the boys teacher this week. I would rather not touch paper to be honest at this point. But I did get a card done. I pulled out Thank You one of my all time favorites still and used the smaller flower in the set. I found my pink and black gingham ribbon that I bought months ago and couldn't figure out where it went. I searched and searched and it fell behind a stack of papers. DH told me I must have too much stuff if I am losing things. Nah..... Just need more room I said. :0) Added a few pearls and called it good.

I hope you have a chance to play in all three ways you can win. Have a wonderful day.

Page Maps and Christmas challenge....

Every quarter, Becky Fleck of PageMaps dishes out 10 fabulous sketches to get those creative juices flowing with her CardMaps. Well, this month some of the lovely ladies from Flourishes did the honors and took her sketches to bring CardMaps to life with beautiful and creative samples for each and every sketch. To check out CardMaps for September, click here and then click on the CardMaps link on the left.
I combined the sketch from Becky with Flourishes Christmas Spirit challenge for Sept. You can read and play along with the challenge all of Sept. here. It's a great way to get your Christmas cards done early and you never know you might WIN a Flourishes Christmas set by playing along.
Dove and Holly has to be in my top 5 favorite sets from Flourishes and in my top 2 fav Christmas sets. So after I saw the sketch Becky had for me I just knew I was using this set. I colored the doves first using the Copic Collections Sky , Water and a touch of Warm neutrals. The leaves are colored using Evergreen and Spring Greens. I stamped on another sheet the holly on the sentiment panel and cut it out and popped them up on dimensionals. I also have the Doves cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I used the swiss dots folder for the bottom part of the card and the ribbons as the center panel. I thought this sketch was a lot of fun and very versatile with what you can do with it.

Check out what the other Flourishes girls created with their sketch:
Some exciting news also! Flourishes is now on Facebook. I have no idea how to even get there since I am personally not on Facebook but check it out if you are! :0) Hope you enjoyed all our creations. Have a wonderful day.
