Always Loved

Happy Friday! I really wanted a bright and fresh feeling to this card and I think the yellow did the trick. This is Hellebore and Hyacinth stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. The base was going to be this dotted designer paper that I have had for awhile and yellow goes well with teal so that was easy.

The sentiment is from M-Powering Words was just the saying I wanted to encourage her with. Die cut it out using a circle and sponged around the edges before I removed the die. Added some enamel dots and then a hint of sparkle. Perfect and Voila!  :-)

Short Stack Birthday

Morning! Sticking with the simple designs to get the flow again and the limited time it is perfect. This is Short Stacks.

A little bit of designer paper and the base strip to the bottom under the image. I have sparkle added to the presents and the flowers. A few enamel dots for the corner and voila!

Maddie's a reindeer

How about a Christmas card today? I barely squeeked by with enough last year and this year I need to make sure that doesn't happen again. This is from Sassy Cheryl's that is closed now but I did buy a few before the doors closed. This is Maddie's Red Nosed Reindeer. She is super cute right?

When I was trying to get into the groove again I always stick with easy card designs and coloring. Her image panel was popped up on dimensionals after she was colored. I added a scrap of designer paper to the base with a little bit of kraft to pull in the brown on her suit. Some sparkle added to her shoes, nose and the neck piece. Tied a silver cord into the button and added the sentiment. Voila. Turned out super cute I think. Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding jewels

Today is a wedding card that turned out ok, with one exception. That exception was the designer paper wasn't so white and blue-ish as I thought once it was against white cardstock. Oh man! I was really frustrated because the whole point was the paper to be the vibrant spot against the white. Live and learn I guess. I do like how it turned out, just wish it was as vibrant as I had imagined it would of been with the paper. Anyways... enough whine from me.

This using Dream Wedding stamp set from Power Poppy. My cake is stamped on white and colored with various Copic markers. I then cut around the image to pop up on the die cut background piece. Added my sentiments to the bottom corner and then some flourished jewels to the base. My image panel and then lots of sparkle to the cake. Voila!

Friendly note friend

Morning. How about a quick card for a friend who just is amazing? I noticed that as of late that a few friends are in need of a smile so I grabbed Vibrant Thanks stamp set and went to work. Stamped this bloom around the edges and wanted the sentiments diagonal through the middle for a fun look.

Some scallop edge along the bottom with a die cut fish tail tag at the top. Some sparkle and a few enamel dots to finish it off. I think its cheerful and perfect for the person its intended. I hope you have a great day!

Two Birthday beer's

Needed two quick masculine birthday cards for the month so I grabbed O Hoppy Day. They are both similar in design but they will never know. hee hee  The first one I used the larger hops image in the set and colored with various Copic markers. I do have suduko gel pen added to the barley but hard to see. A few scattered enamel dots to finish it off.

My second card using the same set has the pint glass instead and a few of the sentiments in the set. Also stamped a little twig of the barley by the sentiment. Pierced around the edges and added a little bit of sparkle to the pint bubbles.

Two masculine cards down and three more to go, then its onto the women. I am so behind but hey... they are getting done. Have a wonderful day!

Valentine hugs

One last Valentine using a stamp from CDS that is now closed, called Heart Hugs. I needed a card for my nephew and this guy is just adorable. He is stamped and colored with Copic markers then die cut with an oval shape.

Layered onto a die cut heart and then a few layers of designer paper. Wrapped some silver cord around the base layers and tied a bow. Added sequins accents and some sparkle. Voila!

For those wondering the boys did win their last two District games. They are now playing Monday's game to determine which "seed" for Regional Play off's! Woot Woot!!! I am super excited for them and all the hard work they have put into their season is paying off. Wish them luck!

With all my heart Rose

Happy Friday and Valentines's day. Hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful day. This is the last of my attempts at cards for today and I think I finally like how this one turned out. My base papers are from the stash that I pierced around the edges before layering onto the base.

My single rose is from Everything's Even Rosier stamp set that is colored with various Copic markers. My red's turned out rather good so I was pleased. Lots of work getting my coloring into a groove again but its coming along. Added a few enamel dots scattered around and some sparkle. Voila!

I Love Digital Free Rose

Morning, and welcome to my second attempt at pink coloring that I mentioned from the weekend. This one is a little bit better and not as muddy, thankfully. Still working on getting into the groove of things and it was starting to come to me. ha ha  This is a FREE digital Rose from Power Poppy that also has a class through Kit and Clowder classes. Maybe I should take the class.  :-)

After the rose was colored I delicately cut around the rose so it could be popped up on the card base. The sentiment is print on the base from the digi called La Vie En Rose. My designer paper is from the scrap bin that has some hearts in the design which was perfect for an accent. Some scallop edge and then topped off with some jeweled flourishes. Sparkle added to the rose and Voila.

Valentine Roses pink

Have you noticed that when you don't color for long periods of time that you take awhile to get back into the groove of things? That was my trouble this weekend and it was frustrating. Valentines day is just a few days away so I had to get the boys, my husband and the boys girlfriends done. This was my first attempt at coloring and it looks muddy to me. Ugh! So frustrating but I already committed to finishing this card. Here we go...

The beautiful image is called Everything's Even Rosier from Power Poppy and one of  my favorite sets. My pink hues turned out rather muddy from over coloring I know. That is what happens when you are out of practice. But I like the over all feel of the pink papers I used from the scrap bin. Added some piercing around the edges and a fish tail die cut behind the sentiment. Tied off some silver cord and a flower from my stash. Voila! Maybe one of the boys will like this for the girls? We will see. More valentine's coming this week. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday cones

Good morning and happy Friday! First play off game is tomorrow for the boys. They are win or go home from this point forward. Wish them luck and a win!  :-)
Had time last weekend to get this colored and finally finished the rest of it. Very easy with Easy Breezy Coneflowers

The scrap of designer paper was my color inspiration with a focus on the orange. Red and orange seem to be the colors I have more issues with than anything. Frustrating but I think I finally got this how I wanted it to look. Added my birthday sentiment along the side. Some textured base paper along the back for the base panel. A few sequins and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila

Pink Christmas

A few days late posting on my blog but I did manage to get it posted on SCS like I was suppose to. This is for the February Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge. You can play along with us HERE

I like this months challenge and knew that Handmade With Love tags was perfect for what I wanted. This was intentionally left with very few embellishments as I spent a lot in postage last year mailing cards that were bulky. My goal is a few less bulky ones this year. hee hee
The image is a digi that I enlarged for the front of my card. A few layers of paper after my image was colored. Then a lot of sparkle, so it has some pizzazz after all with out all the bulkiness. Anyways... Voila! Hope you play along this month.
