Beautiful bowl of blooms

Happy Friday! As you read this I am in the mountains on a camping-jeeping trip probably freezing my tush off since there is snow. What am I thinking? I will tell you... I love my husband that much. hee hee  The things I do for that man. I enjoy it but the cold... not so much. On to my card that you came to see.
This is the latest digi from Marcy called Bowl of Beauty and it SURE IS! I LOVE this new digi. She out did herself with all the digi's in the "bowl" theme if you ask me.

Now my card is using two different pictures for my color inspiration. First is the deep pink/purple color combo for the Peony in this photo that I found on google. Sorry can't find it again to give the source, my bad.  :-(

Isn't that so cool? I thought I can replicate that right... Well I tried to at least and it doesn't look too bad.
Then I used this idea from Marcy's photo she put up on IG with the speckals in the Peonies.

So back to my card again what do you think? Did I manage to get the essence of the flowers? A simple white background with some textured dots. A few pearl accents and a little bit of silver cord. Voila!

April basket of goodness

Welcome to the April Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge. Hope you an join us and play along. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week for my card and stamp set Simple Joys.

This was a quick card and I like how it turned out. Colored the basket of greenry with Copic markers and then added some sparkles. Used a strip of scrap paper and a strip of red for the top since I had flipped the sketch on the side. A few jewels and voila!
