MMM Game Day

House Mouse and Friends blog challenge was embossing. This challenge was running for two weeks since it was Christmas and New years. So I made another one for the challenge. Yes again I did dry embossing ( a fav of mine). I did actually dry emboss the back of the popcorn so its raised up a little. But you have to run your fingers across it to see and feel it. Since you can't you will have to believe me. lol But I did dry emboss the border again which you can see. Make sure to leave a link on the site or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your card.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year.

Pillow Soft

This card was using one of the new sets from Our Daily Bread designs that is coming out Jan 1st 2009. This set is called Lift up your Hands. You can purchase this set here on Jan 1st.

I made this card for the inspiration piece on SCS IC160. I found a pillow that was satin and pink. It was perfect for the softness that I wanted with this card. I love this ribbon. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by. More sneak peeks to come!

Banished to the stamp room

I was banished to the stamping room last night while DH wrapped my gifts. Which worked out great for me because I was able to get this last minute little gift set done for my Grandmother. She loves to send her friends back in Alaska my cards and the scriptures are her favorite set of cards. So this little set is ready to go and be delivered. I used a few sets to make these cards. They are all from Our Daily Bread designs. I kept the format the same on all of them. I found my felt flowers I bought awhile ago when I cleaned out the stamping room. Gotta love it. lol I made a cute little box to hold these cards and the envies. Sorry for the glare, but again banished to the room so lighting wasn't great. hee hee
I have some wonderful news to share with you on Dec. 26th so make sure to check back. And HAVE A BLESSED AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks for stopping by!

MMM Embossed Dreams

Happy Monday! Oh did we get the SNOW over the weekend... whohooo... It is thick, cold and SNOW covered here. Went sledding with the kids, shovelled the driveway a few times... hee hee Great family weekend!
This weeks House Mouse and friends challenge 19 is Embossing. You can heat emboss, dry emboss use embossed papers etc... Go to town and have fun. We will be back with the HMF challenges on Jan 3rd. Leave a link on the site or put twnhpy on SCS for me to find your card there. I did some dry embossing around the frame of the image and the sentiment. I only had gold embossing powder and well it just wasn't going to work with anything. lol I added sparkle to the stockings and I embossed the edges and the sentiment. I added liquid glass to the candle as well. we have a Sponsor this week 7 Kids College Fund. A name will be drawn from those who enter a card and leave a link on the site.
I have some wonderful news to share with you on Dec 26th. So be sure to check back for my exciting news!

Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas if I don't see you before then. Hugs...

Quick gift set

The challenge on Splitcoaststampers today was the Ways to Use it Challenge. It was to make a last minute quick gift. Anything from cards, boxes, ornaments etc. Just quick for those last minute gifts you always need. I made a small box with a few cards to go inside it. All the cards have one brad, one butterfly, same ribbon and the scriptures are all popped up on dimensionals. The church is from Our Daily Bread designs new sets for December. This one is from the set called Worship the Lord. Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sketch 75

This is the last sketch of the year for Sketches by tamara. I love these little elf guys from Close to my heart. I added a lot of sparkle to the snow. Speaking of snow it looks like there is dirt on my card, but their is snow on our window outside and I couldn't get it to come off. So the shadow from the outside light is coming through on the card. Gggrrr... So so sorry. School is cancelled today becuase we got a ton of snow last night on top of the stuff we had already. So I get to stamp more. hee hee Hope you get to play along with us. Leave a link on the sketches page so we can find your creations. Have a wonderful day!

How about a sketch, why yes a sketch would be nice. Okay noone said I was a poet. LOL This weeks House Mouse challenge is a sketch. I love how this turned out, so fresh feeling. I popped up the butterflies on dimensionals and the dp is from my scrap bin. Gotta love scraps. So break out that paper and lets stamp! The DT have really out did themselves on this sketch, be sure to check them out. Please leave a link on the HM page or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your creation. Judy is offering blog candy to the winner of those who participate in this weeks sketch challenge.
We have heard of some very sad news this weekend. That one of our challenge participates and a SCS friend Joanne (stamps4sanity) has passed away. Her family is asking that we send a card to someone in need to honor Joanne. Please stop by Joanne's blog if you knew Joanne and would like to say hugs and prayers to her family.

Christmas Church

Good evening! I made this card after not being able to sleep. You can tell I was tired look at all these brads. Sheeesshh... Just a hint don't stamp if you are tired, you'll use half your brads. LOL I wanted the trees to have lights as ours do in the front yard, hence all the brads. haha I used some of my new poinsetta flowers I got the other day. I just love these things. This set is from Our Daily Bread designs. This set is called Worship the Lord. Its one of the new sets released this month. Thanks for stopping by!

MMM Let it snow.. Let it snow...

Let it snow.. I love that song. And its a perfect song for today's House Mouse Challenge. Let it snow! So pull out the glitter, liquid applique whatever you use for snow and start sprinkling. I love how this turned out. I have glitter and liquid applique for the snow. I also added liquid glass to the candle wax that is melting. Hard to see in the picture. I watercolored the music sheets a little to look like they are outside and the cold and wet smudges the words. Just like it would if they were really outside. hee hee This HM I bought from my good friend Shelly a few months ago. She actually doesn't use these little critters much anymore. I know... I know... She is crazy, but I still love her. hee hee :0) Hope you get a chance to play today. Leave a link on the HM page for us to find your card or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your card! Have a wonderful day!

Lets call him Frosty...

Hee hee.. I love that movie probably a movie I will never grow out of. This is for the Inspiration challenge found on SCS. I went with the snowman necklace and choose one of the colors in the background. I got my new CTMH set yesterday called All Decked out. Oh I LOVE it! Well I love all snowmen pretty much. My house is all decorated in snowmen of all kinds, shapes and sizes. This set has so many options. Totally fun and I plan on making a few more cards today. But we have outside lights, grocery shopping and errands to do first. I know... wish I could just stamp all day, but I can't. Hope you all have a wonderful and warm day!

Wreath Border

I used the new set from Our Daily Bread designs called I Wait for the Lord. This set was just released on Monday December 1st. You can see other cards made with this set here.
I used a corner of the wreath in the set to make the border around the scripture. What better way to showcase the verse. I added a little scored line under and a pearl. I really am happy with how this turned out.
This was for the Limited Supply Challenge 195 on SCS. I went with Chocolate covered cherries theme.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Riley sketch 73

I can't believe its Thursday already. This weeks sketchs by tamara is pretty simple. However I had the hardest time not only with the card but the stinkin picture too. I had the sun out, but too much sun. You can see all my snowflakes have a blob in the center, well they really aren't like that. But the sun picked it up for some reason. Sheesshh... I got this adorable Riley stamp from my friend Angel. She is so sweet, thanks Angel. Off to check blogs and SCS today, the boys have half day so I get to play a little. hee hee Have a wonderful day!

I have already used this HM I know, but I need to work on MY Christmas cards now that everyone else's are done. hee hee I have a ton of sparkle on the tree and the ornaments hard to see in the picture. Horrible lighting when I took this. I have jewels all over though.
