One sheet wonder Daisy style

Morning! Did you ever create a set of cards with one sheet of paper? It used to be and it might very well be called One Sheet Wonder. The thought came to me after I stamped Big Sexy Blooms (BTW on sale NOW) onto some card stock and colored the image. I thought I wonder if you could actually use it to create the same effect, so I went about it and tried.

This is the image (not trimmed down on the edges) yet cut into the shapes I figured I could use to create cards with. I like the springy feel these pink and blue hues which was based off the designer papers I choose above.

This is card one using the smallest piece I cut in the sheet. My sentiment is from Nice Things to Say stamp set which was my theme for encouraging cards with the set. Added some textures to the layer behind the sentiment circle and a scallop edge along the side. Tied off a button and twine for the last touch.

The second card is using the portion of the rectangle of the two that are cut. Added a scallop edge to this one and some swiss dots to the base layer. Not that I did add sparkle to all of the cards flower petals and to some of the sentiments. A square rhinestone to finish this off.

Card three is using the longest strip cut in the sheet along the side panel. Pierced around the edge of the sentiment piece. A few splashes from the set retired Marcella's Mixed tape set with some sparkles and sequins accents.

Card four has some designer paper added to the top and bottom of the bigger piece cut. Wrapped twine around the top edge and tied off a button. Stamped the sentiment in the corner top edge.

Then the last one is the other rectangle piece two with some designer paper as the base. My sentiment at the top with a button twine combo.

I have to say this turned out super cute for something I wasn't sure was going to work. Now I want to make another set of cards with different colors and different cuts. We will see what I can come up with later as I have a few other cards I need to work on first. Thanks for stopping by!

Bold, Amazing and strong

Good morning. How is everyone holding up? Praying that you are doing well and trying to find the small blessings in each day. This was a long week at our house but I think over all it went good. last weekend we went to the Blue Mountains and had some fun sledding and relaxing. Can't go to the mountains this weekend since they closed all of the parks. We will just have to find something else to entertain us I guess. Maybe some crafting or Lego's or binge watching a show. I don't know yet. Now for what you really want to see... my creation today.
These are from Orchids Rock stamp and oh how fun are they to color. I actually went online to find some fun coloring options and these reddish yellow green hues caught my eye so I went and gave it a try. Kept a very clean and crisp feeling to this card since I wanted them to really be bold.

I colored this with various Copic markers, then stamped my sentiment to the top left side. Added a strip of black paper behind the designer paper and added to the base. A few hexagon enamel dots that I have had forever and a touch of sparkle. Voila!

Magical moments

Baby cards are usually one of the things I don't readily have on hand and figure I better get a few in the works. This 6 weeks quarantine is going to produce quite a few newborns come 9 months from how. ha ha Oh I am just kidding, but on some level I am sure there is some statics on this very thing. Anyways... This is Precious Baby that I created today. The designer paper was my color choices and it can be either boy or girl although I now look at it and lots of blue and green. Okay it is a boy card.

Simple design with just a little bit of lace trim and ribbon wrapped around the edge of the base layers. My sentiment die cut with a circle die and a few buttons with twine wrapped between. Voila!

Calming easy feeling

How about a more subtle softer feel with Lavender creation today. Don't miss out on this stamp set as it is on sale now! I stamped the lavender bag onto kraft card stock and used various Prisma colored pencils to color. Still need to work on the blending a little bit I think but I do like the softer feel that pencils give cards.

More of the designer paper from that Authentic pack I was sharing last week for my base layer. Wrapped some lavender ribbon and twine around the base layers. A button and some sequins accents. Voila!

Birthday blue bloom

Good morning or I hope it is good for you. First week of school cancelled, it has been interesting. Between the boys 2 school's, John and myself both working from home it has been fun. Trying to keep things positive, go for a walk each day at lunch, keeping the workout routine at home going since the gym is closed. Making sure we all try to keep as much to the normal day to day routine as possible so we don't go nuts. Overall we are hanging in there. Sure hope you are doing okay with all this.  Anyways you didn't come to hear about that.
Some exciting news is Power Poppy's Sale going on! Check out all the details HERE and on the PP Blog. Be sure to snatch up those sets you have been waiting to buy or even the ones that will be retiring. Gasp I know... but you have to make room for the new goodies this year.

My creations today I had to show the other one I created using Simply Camellias stamp set. One of my favorite cards. Not only because of the blue hues but the designer paper I used is perfect shades of blues and black. It was a pack from Authentic that I bought last year and only used once so far. Gasp! Time to get using that pack more often.

Colored the bloom to match the designer paper hues and then added a few circle die cut layers. A scallop edge to add along the designer paper edge. Assembled all the layers and added my sentiment and an enamel dot. Some sparkle on the water and voila! I love how this turned out.

Birthday Camillas

Morning. Yep another birthday card this one is using Simply Camillas. My base layer is using the larger image as a background accent. I also added sparkle to the outline of the flowers on the background but its hard to see in this picture. It looks all sparkly though and I like that idea. Might have to keep doing that for awhile instead of the actual blooms themselves. Anyways...

Simple design as I colored the blooms with Copic markers and then cut around them to pop them up on the base layers. Added a birthday sentiment to the bottom left corner with a fish tale end and some sequins accents. Voila!

Journey of life

Morning. I sure will have a lot more time to create and color on my hands for the next 6 weeks. Trying to find all the positives in this unclear time and craziness. Did you see Marcy's new digi? Wash Your hands, it is super cute, And what a little bright spot for us today. I will get to that sometime this week. For today...
Tried a little bit of water coloring using Move the Soul for my card today. Didn't try really hard just sorta dabbled a little bit since I wasn't sure where I was going with this one.

Used the accent stamps in the set to create a background using some different inks. Some faux stitching around the edges and across the top of the biker panel. A few enamel dot accents and voila. Not sure if it turned out like I thought, especially since I wasn't sure what I was going for. ha ha  Have a great day.

Incredible Birthday

Another bright and cheerful birthday card today using Strong and Beautiful. The yellow is just so cheerful and fun don't you think? My blooms are colored with various Copic markers.
Only a little bit of accents from the textured background using a leaf designed embossing folder. Then some Candi enamel pop ups that I have had forever in the stamping bin.

No scoring around the edge to this one. Gasp I know... haha  Finished it off with a little bit of sparkle as always and voila!

Wonderful birthday wishes

How about a cheerful and pretty birthday card? I was able to work on quite a few birthday cards on Saturday and it felt good to get some coloring in. This card is using So Grateful stamp set. My colors were decided by the designer paper that I thought was super pretty.

The large flower image is stamped almost center to center with them over lapping in the middle. You can't see that part as my sentiment tag is covering the overlapping. I like the look this gives of a big bunch of flowers. Added a few sequins and then some sparkle on the blooms. Voila!

Amazing you are

Good morning. I hope you had a relaxing weekend. I did get into the stamp room myself so I am quite happy. My card today is using Countryside Bouquet. First I stamped the image and colored with various Copic markers.

Then I cut around the image so I could pop it up on dimensionals to the base. My base is white card stock with a scrap of designer paper and a scallop yellow edge. Wrapped some silver cord around the top of the middle section. My sentiment in the corner and a few square jewels that I have had forever in the stamp drawer. Sparkles on the blooms and voila!
Have a wonderful day.

Friday is here

Friday is here and thank goodness. I have a day planned in the stamp room tomorrow and I am EXCITED! Sad that I have to plan a day in here, but hey whatever it takes. In the meantime this is a card I created using Time To Fly digi that Marcy released a few weeks ago. Such a variety of options with this image.

This is pretty straight forward in design. After the image was colored with various Copic markers I layered onto some dark purple card stock. My base layers are designer paper with a few of the matching solid layers.
I did print this the same size twice so that I could cut out the butterflies and pop their wings out. That has to be the first thing I always think of with butterfly designs. It just adds such a cool aspect especially when you want minimal accents. A single jewel by my sentiment and then sparkles to finish it off. Voila

Red vase awesome

Forgive me and my crooked picture but I was having issues taking this darn thing. Finally I called it good and said whatever. Ever have one of those days? These beauties are from In Praise Of Sunflowers and favorite set. Lots of favorite sets I know but it really is.

After the sunflowers were colored with Copic markers I curved the two right corners so it would match the base layers. I wanted the vase to be red so that I would add the red scallop edge to really make it pop. A little bit of red in the flowers themselves. Voila!

Merry March Christmas challenge

Today is March 1st and that means the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is up and ready for your submission.  :-)  You can check it out and play along with us HERE

I used Beribboned Wreath for my card this month and oh do I like wreaths.  :-)  This is colored with various Copic markers and then die cut with a circle layered onto another circle. My designer paper is pierced around on the green layer as well. A few fish tail accent pieces with some enamel dots scattered about. The wreath does have some sparkle added but it is hard to see in the photo.
Voila! Hope you can play along with us this month.
