Eggs, Bunnies and Hope...

****Second Post today. HM&F Challenge below****

Last day for Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks of the February release. All sets available tomorrow at the Clear Dollar Stamps store! This set is called You're Eggs-traordinary and these eggs in the set are just beautiful. I went with teals and banana's for my card. I have the egg popped up on dimensionals and was using a Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch but I forgot a panel so its just any ole sketch now. lol

For this little bunny I thought I would go vibrant in color. He is CDS Stamp of the Month for Feb. called Flower Bunny. Isn't he just sweet. I masked in some little carrots by him for his snack later in the day. ha ha Kept it very simple and sponged some clouds.

My next card is using the Scriptures of Hope set and all these scriptures are soothing and calming. I got some new DP from our local Hobby Lobby. Oh it is so fun to be able to say we have one now... YEA! Anyways I went with some soothing blues and browns for this card. Added af ew sprigs and pearls.

The girls have some wonderful creations as well be sure to show them some love:

House Mouse and Friends Challenge #88

Happy Monday! Some exciting news but first... The House Mouse and Friends Challenge # 88 today is hosted by non other than Lori. She is challenging you to use HEARTS - Use a least one heart on your card. This weeks Sponsor is none other than House-Mouse Designs The Prize is this; a $20 Electronic Gift Certificate to the main House-Mouse Design Website Store. So pull out those hearts and get to stamping!

For my exciting news... It has been a long, shall we say *break* from the House Mouse Design team for me. However that break is now officially over. I have been ever so graciously welcomed back with open arms and hugs from the DT! To say the least I am more than excited to be back on the DT. To have my mouses back in full action is going to be exciting as well. So for this challenge I went all out, well for me this is all out. Layers, ribbons and layers some more. I have 3 hearts on this creation. The background heart was using the spellbinders heart and I added some red pleated ribbon to the border. Then I have the felt heart button that I added to the sentiment. Ofcourse this darling little candy heart he is handing over. hee hee This is raspberry chocolate incase you are wondering why its sorta pink. DH favorite chocolates. Thanks for stopping in. Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak peeks are coming here in a bit so stay tuned in!

Butterflies, Frogs and Roses....

Welcome to Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks for February. I have a few samples to show you today. All the sets you see today and tomorrow will be available on Feb. 1st at Clear Dollar Stamps store. So let's get started! I wanted a summer feeling card with this beautiful butterfly. This set is called Bold Butterflies and there is a new butterfly die set to go with it. I stamped the butterfly first on the base, then I stamped it again on another piece of paper to die cut out. I popped it up in the center on a dimensional and brought the wings out. A bit of stickles on the wings and voila.
These darling little test tubes I got from Kelly on SCS. They were perfect for a little gift I wanted to give. I used the Happy Frogs new set for the scene on the front. He just made me laugh with his cheesy grin. Some of the grass under the flower is popped up on dimensionals.

A gentleman at DH work asked me to make a few Christian Valentines for him. This is one that I made using the Sentimental Flowers set along with 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. I masked the roses in the corner and popped the middle one up on a dimensional. A hint of sparkle and done, he just loved this and said it was perfect for what he had in mind. Always nice to have a happy customer. This fits perfectly with the theme this month for the DD of love. Talk about the perfect scripture for love!

Now be sure to check out the wonderful eye candy from the other design team:Candy

Framed heart

Happy Friday! Today Flourishes has some eye candy for you from all the Design Team girls and a special guest Cheryl aka CherylQuilts from SCS. Several of the girls will be showing you different calendar ideas with the 2011 free calendar download Flourishes is offering. My silly printer is out of ink so I will be showing you a project that I made for a friend. I am using Hearts and Flowers for my framed gift. I thought the sentiment would be a great focus along with the roses heart. So I used black hindges to attach these coasters together. The lace looking edge is using spellbinders Fleur De Lis Bordabilities for the border. I then used some double sided satin ribbon silver/black to border the border, covered both sides with classic white cardstock and started to decorate. My rose heart is colored with Poppy copic collection. Added a few pearls and all done.

Now don't miss the fabulous eye candy from the DT and our special guest:

Some have been wondering how my appointment went yesterday. I cried on the way home and still having issues. The braces themselves are fine a little suprised that the bottom are silver instead of the clear like the top. However you really can't see the bottom too much. Instead of putting these ramps on right away they did what they call a build up on the two back teeth. So in short this means yes that my jaw does not close tight, it is like having a little block on both sides of my mouth. How do you eat you ask... I am trying to figure that out myself. He told me that eating was going to be an adjustment and he was not kidding. Once I am used to these they will put the ramps on and I won't notice much of a difference other than a little tighter than these build ups. On the up side I don't think I will lose the competition with some of the girls I have going on. For each pound we lose between now and the end of June we get an extra 50k steps added to our step count! I am a shoe in to win with these things. ha ha trying to see the bright side of not actually chewing food for the next 9 months. I know I am not the first person to go through this and I won't die from starvation. I am just going to have to adjust some things. DH did find several things that I can eat for dinners. Isn't that sweet... Ice cream was my dinner last night. Yumo! Now that is something that I don't have to chew. hee hee Thanks to those of you that prayed for me. :0) Sunday starts Sneak Peeks for Clear Dollar Stamps Feb. release be sure to check back with me. Have a wonderful weekend.

Birthday Invites

Land ahoy! Isn't this little sail boat darling? One of the girls at DH work has been looking for invitations that were sailing/sailor design and hadn't found what she wanted and asked DH if I could make some. This is the one she liked from my samples I showed her. This sail boat is from the Sails, Subs and Tugs sets at Clear Dollar Stamps. I liked the port hole look on some cards I had made in the past so I incorporated that into the invitation. The water has a bit of sparkle on it and the inside has the birthday invite information. I sponged some clouds along the top panel and added some twine knots down the side.
On a personal note tomorrow is not going to be much fun. I get the bottom braces on and these ramps on the back two molars. Yep puree and liquid diet for the next 8-9 months. ugh...might be a little grumpy I warned the family. lol I am hoping for the best though and will keep you posted. Till then have a wonderful day!

Super Bowl Play Off's

One thing my family loves is football. No matter your team, your colors or your state we all have a team we love. The season must come to an end with just a game or two left but it leaves you with excitement for the next season to come. One of the twins is a huge Brett Favre fan and we are not sure how he came to like Green Bay or Favre but he does. When Favre left GB he said he still likes the Packers but did follow Favre to the Vikings. As it seems Favre is not going to be coming back to the NFL and DS said well I guess I have to embrace Rodgers as my new quarterback. This season he has cheered for both teams and is ready for a Green Bay Super Bowl he says. hee hee So we bought all the goodies we need for the game tomorrow and even found some plates and napkins to go with all our goodies. Should be an exciting day of football tomorrow.
I made this card for him in hopes that he will make it to the SB with his team. This is one of my favorite House Mouse Stamps. ;0) I added some sparkles to the pop can, some liquid glass to the popcorns butter for the wet look and some liquid applique to the threads on the football. GO PACKERS!!! Thanks for stopping by!

I just LOVE how this turned out. The Release Bundle is still available for an extra discount don't miss your chance at the savings! Be sure to check out the Friday creations from the DT:

Valentine mice

I stamped for fun today with my House Mouse stamps. I am working on some Valentines day cards and these little guys just make me smile. This first one is using the sketch from Paper Works CO Sketch #65. I think my panel was suppose to be behind the main panel oops, I do love how this turned out. I have this little charm that I have saved forever and thought I would finally use.

These guys smelling the rose just crack me up it is so sweet. The House Mouse and Friends challenge is embossing this week. I have my swiss dots panel my dry embossing. This fits the DD sketch and theme for January as well. I added a bit of sparkle to the rose and tied off the ribbon with a button and twine combo.

Thanks for stopping in and enjoying my House Mouse with me. I hope you are having a wonderful week!

New Beginings Blog Hop

Welcome to Clear Dollar Stamps Blog hop. If you are just joining us head back to the CDS Blog to start. If you just came from LISA's Blog You are in the right spot.

New Beginnings can be a lot of things to different people. I went with a new love in your life. This scripture gives lots of advice when you love someone and a comfort in knowing this is how God feels about us. I used scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. I have a red and white theme going since I am working on Valentine cards and since this is a love poem I think its perfect. Added a few white sprigs and a textured bg and done.

Now head on over to JAN's blog for your next hop. See you back here tomorrow for Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge. Have a wonderful day!

I used the new set released last night at the Power Hour Release party Tokens of Affection for my challenge card. Some of my favorites that I use on cards are the crochet ribbons and pearls. Some of my favorite embelishments. Ofcourse the spellbinders labels are a big hit for me also. I used the circles and eyelet circles on this card. There is a hint of sparkle on the tea in the cups and this textured heart paper is going fast at my house with all these Valentines day cards I am making. hee hee

Simple love note

This is Love Notes and there are a lot of cute and fun sentiments in this set. I kept this very simple today. I stamped the hearts across the panel to the side, added a few stickles and a red/white ribbon bow. The base white panel has some textured hearts on it that I found at Hobby Lobby. Very simple yet I really like the CAS of this.

Hearts and Flowers Sneak Peek

Welcome to day one of Flourishes January Sneak Peeks. I have a few projects I would like to share with you today. In hopping through the DT blogs today we are going to be showing you the set called Hearts and Flowers. My first creation is a Tissue Cover tutorial that is over on SCS. The daisies in this set are always a pick me up for when someone is feeling down I think. I stamped 4 rows of the hearts all connected all the way across a sheet of Classic White cardstock. Colored the hearts with Copic collections Buttercup, Flesh Tones 1 and 2. Then I cut out each row of hearts and wrapped them around the tissue box. They are popped up on dimensionals and I only ended up using about 2 rows. So you will see later the cards I made with the extra hearts. ha ha Can't let all that coloring go to waste. :0)

This placemat and napkin ring has a story behind it. Before I get to the story I will give you the details. I used the Grand Caliber to make the placemat with Grand labels One. I sponged the white mat a bit which is why it looks darker than the rest. I added a few jewels and the sentiment. The napkin ring is using the heart of roses in the set. I wrapped it with a black band and ran the paper napkin through the loop.

Every Valentines day that DH and I have been together we always went to dinner or somewhere special. This is one of my favorite holidays. When the boys were born we were not really comfortable leaving the twins with anyone and we also wanted to share it with them. So I started to make a special dinner at home for all us. Mind you the first year with the boys was milk.. ha ha moving on... Then when the boys started getting older they started helping me in making the menu and table setting. There idea of a menu well has been interesting over the years, infact one year it was mac and cheese with chocolate pudding and sparkling cider. yep we ate it and made a big deal of how special it was. :0) However it has become one of our most cherished times together because we make valentines for each other open and share them at the dinner. I am hoping that when they get older and start to have girlfriends that they put as much thought into this day as we have over the years. It will surely win the hearts of any girl they date. Now if you are still awake after all that be sure to check out the fabulous creations from the DT:

I went with some blues and browns for this one, the double sided chocolate and teal ribbon was the inspiration for the colors. The copic collections I used to color these are Sky, Flesh Tones, Gerber Daisy, and Spring Greens. A little bit of sparkle to the center of each flower and done. See you back here tomorrow for day 1 of Sneak Peeks! Have a wonderful day.

Help for Katie and Mix it up

Over on the Totally Stampalicious blog today the challenge is to Mix It up. Use two stamps from different sets. I didn't follow the rules as you can see but I did make a card for a fellow stamping friend Katie. Info on Katie and Help for Katie fundraiser is below.
For my card I used the new Stampalicious Scarlett from Totally Stampalicious. She is specificially drawn for TS and is not for sale, but FREE with every $50 purchase. She is worth every bit of an order girls. I love these browns and cream colors together.

Help Katie fundraiser is being presented by Jak a good friend of Katie's. There is several Digital stamp sets being offered by a few companies and sales are going to help Katie and her family. Please visit Jak's blog/store for all the sets, details and information. Katie and I are on the Clear Dollar Stamps DT together and she is such a sweet friend. I love her stamping style and her heart. She has stage 4 cancer and this came as a bit of a surprise at the holidays. She could use a prayer and card. If you have a minute read how Katie is doing on her blog where she is journalling as she goes through this scary journey.
See you back here tomorrow! Sneak Peeks are this week for Flourishes January stamps.

Flourishes Colors of Love challenge

***Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop see post below***

Yes it is that time again for Flourishes Pre-Challenge. This is your chance to win our ENTIRE January. release. Check out the Flourishes Blog for all the details and deadlines.

I am working on my Christmas cards for 2011 so I combined this with our Christmas Spirit Challenge #9 Recycle/Reuse. You can read and play along HERE. This snowman is so fun he is from the Warm Winter Wishes set. I recycled some fancy ribbon my MIL gave me and DH on a gift, she had to use half a roll on the box. Good thing for me I saved it. I asked for the rest of the roll but she had used it up already. The piercing around the edge didn't show up very well and I added stickles to some of the snowman.

Check out the beautiful creations from the other DT:

Valentine bear PDCC62

I found a new challenge (well new to me) called the Play Date Cafe Challenge. I loved the colors they are perfect for Valentine cards. Valentines day has to be my second favorite holiday. Mostly because of all the hearts, which is a favorite of mine next to snowmen. I used Heart Hugs for this card. I made my own dp with the little hearts in the set on the bottom. Added a few pearls and popped up the panel. I like this tickled pink ribbon its so pink and sweet. This picture seems to be washed out a bit and I can't fix it. But IRL it is much more crisp.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop and New Release tomorrow night. Have a wonderful day.

New Year, Blog hop and more....

So how is day 3 of the new year treating you? Most kids are back at school and mom's are happy. ha ha kidding.... Lots happening this year and this week
*** Clear Dollar Stamps is having a big Blog Hop. Check out the CDS Blog to start, there is still time to hop and win.
***Jan 6th is Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop and New Releases. Be sure to check back on Thursday evening at the TS Blog to start.
*** Flourishes pre-challenge is this Friday for the New Release coming next week. Busy weeks coming and some really fun things coming down the road. hee hee

Okay on to this little darling. My wonderful hubby got me some of the greeting farm stamps that I have wanted for awhile. Isn't she just so darn SWEET! I really enjoy coloring these Anya's. This is the set called Miss Anya Lounge. I do have to say that the first one I really wanted to ink up is the girl with the jersey on. But I needed a card for my SIL this weekend and this is what I made for her. It fits her perfectly. I also used some new primas that DH got me and the new basic grey paper called Olivia. Darling isn't it and so simple.

On a personal note we have taken our house off the market and are going to stay in our home. We gave it a try at the hardest time of the year but 3 months is it for us. This was a tough decision even in putting it on the market but we felt that was what we needed to do. Now we are staying and that means some changes in the current house. EEK.... I will be giving up my stamping room and moving back into the office so the twins can have their own rooms. I am not too bumbed since I will be getting an even bigger desk so its a win win for everyone. hee hee Thank you for the thoughts and the prayers for my sanity over the last few months. They have been very appreciated. I need to get some work done today, thanks for stopping in to see me.

Recycle and Reuse 2011

Today is a fresh start at a New Year. Which means a new year of Christmas Spirit Challenges from Flourishes. The challenge this month is to Recycle or Reuse something you recieved at Christmas. Ribbon or twine from a package, how about a fancy box from a gift, or how about that lovely wrapping paper? Check out Flourishes thread in the SCS Forum for all the details HERE.

I got this red stripped ribbon on a few packages all in one big package, so I saved every morsel they used. Makes for an easy peasy card. This sentiment and candy cane are from Sweets of the Seasons . I added a few pearls and a button for accents. Very simple and my goal is to make atleast 3-5 of each card I make for the Christmas Spirit challenge so I won't be short this year. I was a few short this year and well... if you didn't get a card from me you know why. :0) I won't this year! Hope you can play along! Have a wonderful weekend.
