Simple Kraft colors and card

A friend's daughter asked me to create a few cards that would be quick and easy for a group of friends. These were two that I showed her that were rather easy with little coloring and some textures. I do like how kraft or white cardstock give you the option of little work as the splash of color sets it off well. This first one is using Alluring Lily if you have the digital image, or Tiger Lily that I have used here. Not using the whole image is a great idea for quick cards also.
Some simple coloring with colored pencils for the petals. Added swiss dots for the textured background and then a die cut scalloped edge. Finish off with my sentiment and some sequins.

My second one using the digital version if you have it Dahlia or in my case the Dahilia XL stamp.  Same thoughts for this one but a different embossed background and color. I added more white colored pencil to the petals on this one and I think was my favorite. She liked both and thought the variety for colors would be good. Either way Voila! :-)

Fishy thanks

Masculine cards... oh how I just enjoy making those. This is one from a super older stamp but there is a digital version of this fishy guy called Leaping Trout. Stamped a background image onto the designer paper and then faux pierced a edge around both base and the image panel.

My sentiment stamped across with a layer of the green base to match. The last of my gold mesh ribbon also. sniff sniff... I like that mesh. The picture is took at an odd angle so I can try and show you how the suduko gel pen matches the gold mesh behind the panel. Finished off some sparkles on the water and a brad for the top corner. Voila!

Oldies but goodies

Looks like another hot evening and I plan to be inside. Perfect as that then means I have time to post up two cards I created a few weeks back. This is from a stamp set that is retired but the digital versions are available. The first one is called Peonies and I think one of the best drawings by Marcy. Was looking for a beachy feel with my coloring. The designer paper was the inspiring feel for this called By The Shore. Die cut a fancy bottom and wrapped ribbon with a twine and button combo to the bow.

This is the second one and you can find a digital version called Tulips. This scrap of designer paper from a pack I can't even remember was my color choices for this one. Die cut the base layer to show off the dark lavendar underneath. Wrapped some ribbon and tied a bow. Then some flourished jewels behind the tulips. Voila!

These hot days do make it easier to stay inside and color. Just glad I finally was able to post these up. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Another Christmas card

Evening. I was going to post this during the challenge month but time got away from me again. We have been out of town a lot and just got back recently from the Hoh Rainforest. Beautiful! I loved it all. We didn't even see all that we wanted but we have plans to go back again soon.

Anyways... Here is another one I created for the Christmas challenge last month and just now posting. Actually have a few cards that I created at the same time and will try to post up.

This is using Bough Wow Wow stamp set which is no longer available. However the digi version called Mittens and Merriement is available. Colored with various Copic markers. Added a few layers of designer paper to the base. The base panel is embossed with a folder I bought months ago and just now am using. Then a few enamel dots and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Blossoms in Christmas

Good morning! This month over on the Power Poppy Blog the Blossom Challenge is Christmas inspired. Woot woot! I can't pass up a Christmas card or challenge.  :-)  You can check out the challenge HERE

My designer paper was my inspiration for the colors and the stamp set I used which was Rustic Rejoicing. The image is colored with various Copic markers. Added some sparkle to the ribbon and bells.

Wrapped some crochet ribbon and ribbon around the base layers. Tied off a button and some twine. My sentiment die cut with a circle. Voila!

Hope you play along with us!

Hawaiian Shirt

This die makes for quick cards for the guys and I needed one real quick. The die is called Everyday Shirt die. I really should use this more often along with the added dies that go with the shirt. This was pretty straight forward in I wanted a Hawaii feel to the shirt so I used the paper pack called By The Shore and added yellow to bring out the sun on the paper design.

Stamped the sentiment on the inside and voila! Easy peasy. Have a great day.

Summer blooms

Morning. This did not turn out like I had anticipated after looking at tons of flowers online. This is Sketches of Spring and the flowers in the digi are such a variety of colors when you search them. They seem more colored like summer verses spring. ha!

The background has a textured leaf pattern that I got a few months back and I really like it. I did die cut a stitched frame and then outlined with the next layer up to canter over the base. Stamped a sentiment on a circle die cut and added some ribbon around the frame edge. Stickles and enamel dots to finish it off. Voila!

SC912 Birthday Gnome

I am so glad to finally ink this baby up. This is Flower Gnomes and one of the last ones I bought a few weeks ago. He is so cute and fun to color. He is colored with various Copic markers then cut around to be popped up on dimensionals.

Added a flourished die cut behind him and a few enamel dots. This is some new designer paper or at least new to me called Let It Bee from Graphic 45. I like all the sunflowers in the pack. hee hee Voila!

Here is this weeks SC912 sketch at a glance.

Glass eyed Challenge

Happy Friday! I was on the phone chatting with my sister when I was coloring this and got distracted. Turned out pretty good I guess considering I wanted different colors for a few parts. Anyways... This is for the Blossom Challenge over on the Power Poppy Blog. This month is Glass Eyed using an image that is in glass or under glass in your design. The new digi called Accentuate the Positive was perfect for this challenge. Still learning to color glass and water even now but I get better each time. Various Copic markers used to color.

Added a simple die cut edge to the left with a strip of base paper to match. More of the wood grain designer paper I bought awhile ago. Some sparkle and enamel dots to finish it off. Voila!

Birthday love

Morning. I started this card before we went on vacation and finally got it posted yesterday morning for the sketch challenge. Didn't turn out like I had planned but it will have to do. I used the image from Under Glass for the little squares. Colored with Copic markers and then cut around the image and popped up on dimensionals.

Then I stamped a sentiment to the right with some sequins and sparkle to finish it off. Here is the sketch at a glance SC911. Have a great day.

Birthday ride

Birthday ride today using an oldie but a goodie from long ago called Classic Rides. This set has not been dusted off in so long. When looking at all the older cards I made I really want to just revamp a few of the older ideas I created with using the set. However I don't have time to do that. ha  I flipped this on the side and it was perfect for the low ride truck in the set. Colored with various Copic markers and sponged around the edge of the panels.

Love this designer paper from a ODBD pack for the guys. A few brads and voila!
Check out this weeks sketch SC910 at a glance.

2022 Graduations

Morning! It is that time of year again for graduation cards. Honestly did not have the feel for this years cards and I feel bad. This did not turn out how I wanted but it will work. I die cut the numbers and used  a star for the 0 to match the embossed background. Added just a bit of sparkle to the star and stamped congrats on the inside. Easy this year.

This week sketch at a glance SC909. I did mess up and made my white panel too long for the base.  ;-(

SC906 21st Birthday

Good morning! Using another one of the Stamping bella's that I got a few weeks ago called Beer Gnomes. So cute don't you think? They are colored with various Copic markers and layered onto blue base. Die cut the 21 and balloons for the birthday celebration they are having. Stamped the sentiment above the balloons and voila! Easy Peasy.

Here is the sketch SC906 at a glance. Hope you can play along with us.

SC905 Blue Birthday Blooms

Happy Wednesday! Behind in my birthday cards again this year. Sometimes I wonder where the time goes anymore. This is a quick one with the designer floral paper doing all the work. No coloring makes for quick cards too. Die cut a few pennants for the layers behind the birthday sentiment.

Voila! Easy Peasy and a birthday card done. Here is a glance at this week's SC905 sketch.

SC903 Gnomes under the keg

Happy Wednesday! I finally broke down and bought a few of the Gnome sets from Stamping Bella. They are so fun and I am enjoying coloring them up. The first one I bought is called Two Gnomes and a keg. The sentiment in the set is perfect for the inside of this birthday card too. hee hee

I stamped the little growler along the bottom there from another one of the sets I bought that goes well with both. Colored with various copic markers and then popped those up on dimensionals. Pierced around the brown edge and also embossed the base layer. Voila! Super cute I think.

Here is this weeks sketch SC903 at a glance. Hope you can play along.

SC902 Butterlfies

Morning. Butterflies once I start I end up cutting them out every time and popping out the wings from the card. I know after awhile you would think I would stop by I simply can't. ha ha Anyways this is Majestic Monarch from Sweet n Sassy and I am not sure its even available anymore? I have colored the two smaller ones in the set with Copic markers and then popped them up on the base white layer.

Added some colored dots with the markers to match the colors on the butterflies. Some sparkle on wings and voila! I like the springy feel of this.

This weeks Sketch SC902. Happy Stamping!

SC901 Birthday Blooms

Good morning! Today I am using another of the new embossing folders I got a few weeks back of these leaves and I just love the feel of them as the background with these blooms. I stamped and colored each of the blooms with Copic markers and then I cut around them to pop up on the base.

These blooms are from Abundant Petals stamp set that is not available anymore but still a favorite. I added a birthday sentiment to the vellum panel and two enamel dots to cover the glue dots used to hold it in place. Some sparkles to the petals and voila! Springy and fresh feeling I think.

Here is this weeks Sketch SC901 at a glance. Hope you get to play along with us this week.

SC900 Help comes from the Lord

Good morning. Missed the last few sketches so I am glad to be back in the stamp room. This was simple sketch, but I had a hard time coming up with an idea. I believe this stamp is no longer available and called Be encouraged. This is a new embossing folder to be that I just now am playing with. I added the same color to the center of the flowers.

Die cut a few flowers to added to the sentiment panel. A jewel center and voila!
Here is the SC900 sketch at a glance. Hope you can play along with us.
