Charcoal Merry

Happy Friday! Just a few more days until Christmas. Are you done with all your shopping? I was done a few weeks ago thankfully. The boys are out of school for two weeks so we plan to play and have fun. Yea!

One of my favorite cards that I created recently and the new release items Power Poppy has. This is called Winter Flora and one of the man options in the digi. The idea was this charcoal look and feel with a splash of color. I think it turned out perfect for what I had in mind. I used Copic gray hues for the image and behind the letters. Some red and yellow hues for the flowers and the Merry. Some added sparkle and voila!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Goodie bag of good cheer

Morning. A few weeks ago I made a few of these little treat 6x6 goodie bags using a tutorial found HERE. They are super quick and easy to make for a little something. I put the Hershey nuggets inside of these and a few have little lotion bottles in them.

The tag on the front is from the Handmade With Love Tags and it is a perfect fit for the front. I choose the one that matched the paper best that I used. I won't show you all of them but I did make about 20 of these they are that easy. Just a little something without having to go over board for a few people. Thanks for stopping by.

Large colorful Flora

Good morning. Winter Flora has several different versions in the digital image and I left this one without the sentiment so I could use another. This sentiment is from Glistening Paperwhites stamp set and its a perfect fit for the center.

Yes this does have a lot of colors and I like the cheerful feeling it gives you. Only wrapped some silver cord around the left edge with a few scattered jewels. Then some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Penciled Serenity

Good morning. Season of Serenity was another new digital image that we came out with. Printed on kraft card stock and then colored with a variety of Prisma colored pencils. Still needing to work on the colored pencil technique but I do think I get better with each try. Needed to blend more I think? Anyways.

Easy design with only some cord wrapped around the base tied off with a button. Sparkle added to parts of the green sprigs and a few enamel dots. Voila!

Peaceful single flora

If you missed our Digital Blitz you sure missed a lot of fun. This is one of the new images that came out called Winter Flora and it is the smaller in the new digi. My designer paper was the color choice for this as it was soft and light feeling. I was not going to attempt the watercolor feel the designer paper had since I am not very good at that.

Wrapped some lace trim and ribbon around the middle before the image panel was added. A few sequins and lots of sparkle to finish it off. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Pink Poinsettia XL

Good morning! Make sure you check and see if you were the winner of the Power Poppy gifts that we had last week. Marcy posted all the winners in one post HERE. Congrats to all the winners, enjoy shopping!
Yes I was playing around with Poinsettia XL and OH MY! My first instinct was to use blue hues but I resisted and went with pink. You know a blue one is going to come out sooner or later anyways. hee hee  Oh I do just swoon over this large flower. I have lots and lots of poinsettias image and each one is so different. You can never have too many.  :-)  Moving on....

A very simple design but I like how it turned out. After I colored the Poinsettia XL with a variety of Copic markers I die cut with a stitched die. I then grabbed a piece of designer paper that brought out the soft pinkish yellow colors for a little layer behind the image panel.
Wrapped silver cord around the two pieces and tied a bow. Splattered some white spots, which I should of done more of and a few jewels. Adhered to the base with the matching stitching and Voila!

Winter Serenity final day

Welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop final day. We sure have had fun and hope you enjoyed our little big Christmas re-mix hop. I know it was fun for me and enjoyed seeing everyone's creations.

How about that Season of Serenity from day 2? Or the new Clear Stamp Serene Seasons. Such a variety of creations and versions from everyone. Not to mention I am sure you had a few thoughts of your own when you saw the digi. Coloring this was such a joy, and you will surely like the clear version set.
First I decided that the base was going to be white snowflakes behind the image. Then I die cut a decorative frame and used my Copic marker to color the edges around against the white base.

Various Copics to color the image of course and some sparkle was going on all that snow. Added dimensionals behind the image layer since I cut out the center. Layered it all onto the base and my sentiment with fish tail ends. And sequins to finish it off. Voila!

Today is Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 12. As well as the first of the month and that means the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted up on SCS. You can check out the challenge and play along with us if you want.
Only one more day of our blog hop. Sure hope you are enjoying all the eye candy and the fun creations everyone is sharing. Today Marcy has a new clear, yes I said clear stamp for you.  She just keeps on giving doesn't she.  This is called Serene Scenes, and oh my is it awesome! See the post on the Power Poppy Blog for the full set and sentiments. Don't forget about today's sale 25% OFF STOREWIDE -- use code THINKSMALL

My gift tags are a little behind this year as I am usually done, not the case. Here is a tag that has to be my favorite I made so far using Through the Woods stamp set. Oh this bow again in the gold and yellow is just awesome! I stamped this out and colored with various Copic markers and then cut around the image.
I knew that I was going to use more of the shimmery gold paper and thought why not emboss some swiss dots for the base. A fancy die cut in the burgundy paper and added all the layers. More suduko gel pen to the ribbon image and some gold sequins and voila!
