Sunflower playdate

Good morning! This weekend I was playing with sunflowers and snowmen and I had a great time. I think I really needed sometime to color and just pray for some friends while I created. Do you ever have times when you just come away and think wow, I feel great? Could just be me who knows... Well here is one of the first sunflowers I colored trying to get back into the swing if things. This is from In Praise Of Sunflowers stamp set. Marcy has a variety of sunflower digi's  in case you don't have the actual stamp set.

I took the large sunflower in the set and stamped it about 2 inches apart all across the bottom (length side) of a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and cut them partially and kept full image. This will make sense later when I show the others. Colored with various Copic markers and layered onto the base. One of the new to me embossing folders for the colored layer. My sentiment punched on a circle and some sparkle and enamel dots to finish it off. Voila!
See you back here tomorrow as I have the new Dirty Dozen Challenge with the snowman I mentioned I played with.  :-)  Have a great day!

Mini release at Power Poppy

Morning! How about a little mini release to get your weekend started? Marcy has been drawing and these Freshly Squeezed Scents new digi's are sure to get your scent and coloring juices flowing. Welcome Aloe and Oranges today.

I bet the first you thought was why is there lemons on this card. Well... I started coloring with my Prisma colored pencils and forgot that it was oranges and went with lemons. What can I say this set is versatile? HA! HA!  It really could be as Aloe, as my grandma used to call it "sav" goes with lemon tea when you aren't feeling well. Anyways...

Simple design as I played with the image on kraft cardstock again and added a few layers of papers. Some textures to the base layer and some strips of kraft paper. Added some brads that have been in the jar for ages. Stickles on the aloe plant and my sentiment at the top. Voila!

Leaping trout

Good morning. Another week of triple digit heat. I am ready for fall weather, how about you?   I am down a few birthday card's again for the guys so I went fishing for the day. :-) This is Leaping Trout on my card today. The sale on this digi is going to end soon so get it before its off sale.

Pretty simple with the image colored with various Copic markers. The designer paper is from a new pack I have from ODBD. Embossed the base layer for some texture. Added some faux stitching down the left edge, the fish edge and sentiment top. A few enamel dots for accent and sparkle on the water. Voila!

Who doesn't like blue on all cards? I knew blue and purple hues were going to be my color choice so I went with it. This gingham paper was in the stash along with the die cut edge from another project so it was perfect. Colored the image with various Copic markers and scored around the border. A few scattered jewels and some sheet ribbon that I have had forever. Some sparkle and voila! Thanks for stopping by today.

Holiday Roses

Good morning. This is a card using Snowdrop and Tea roses, and don't forget this is still ON SALE. I was behind in my Christmas cards last year and I don't plan to be this year. Various Copic markers were used to color these roses. The designer paper is layered onto matching colors.
A little bit of texture to the blue panel with a new embossing folder that I got a few weeks back. Wrapped some twine around the layers. Sponged my sentiment circle and finished with sparkles and enamel dots. Voila! Thanks for stopping by.
