Pink tiger

Have you purchased Tiger Lily XL yet? If you haven't, what are you waiting for? This stamp is just awesome I tell you! Some of you have asked about my box tutorial with the Tiger Lily. I am working on it and will be getting that up soon. Its been a little hectic around here with sports and a few home repairs going on. I will get it up soon I hope. In the meantime... check out this one using the Tiger Lily XL

This is another fun way to use this larger stamp with just a portion of the image. I do like this in the pink hues don't you? Under the flower layer panel is another white panel that I dry embossed using swiss dots folder one of my all time favorites still. Added a few jewels and voila! And look... no sparkles again. GASP!!! I am not sick I promise.... ha ha!  Hope you enjoy your weekend!

S is for Sweet

Good morning! This was a fun project that I want to share with you that I did for a friend. I am using the beautiful Sweet Memories stamp set.

This letter S is a solid wood block that I painted and then layered some designer paper over to match. For the flowers I stamped them onto regular white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. After they were colored I delicately cut around the flower and used a knife for the detailed parts. Added dimensionals to the back and adhered them to the letter. The flowers stand out a little from the block yet its hard to see n the pitcure. Then I added some sparkles all around the letters edge and added a few pearls. She is going to love this for her wall.
Hope you have time to create today. Enjoy your day!

Colorful Burst

Colorful morning to you all! This delightful stamp is called Burst of Kindness. The variety of colors you can use is amazing for these flowers. My bouquet is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers.

Then I die cut with Stitched mat rectangles die that I layered onto Lavish Layers. Wrapped some crochet ribbon and silk ribbon tied into a bow around the banana base layer. Added a few pearls and voila!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Let's Dish today

Happy Power Poppy Friday! Have you been playing along in our Going green challenge? I finally sat down and played using the fun Artful Display from our new releases. Be sure to link your creations over on the PP blog and also check out all the creations everyone has so far!

This is rather straight forward in design as I was finding it hard to use green as the main color.  I think I did okay for my card though. After my dishes were stamped, I added some water to the ink while it was still wet to smooth it out a bit. Some designer paper to the base with matching green trim in the center. A few die cut flowers with a pearl center over layered on a die cut flourished die. Easy peasy!

Flower Bomb

Good morning! Sunday I had sometime to look over on Splitcoast at the gallery and came across the new Dirty Dozen theme for March. It has been awhile since I played and saw that it was Secret Garden this month. Well that gave me an excuse to play and use the new Flower Bomb that has been sitting on my desk. hee hee

This just feels like spring on a card doesn't it? These flowers are roses and violets and so much fun to color. After I colored the image I die cut using ODBD Pierced squares die and layered onto a Spelbinders decorative die. Used a piece of vellum to over lay with my sentiment from Nice Things To Say and added enamel dots to the edges. Voila! I wanted to add sparkle to the flowers, I mean really really wanted to... but I held off. I think I add that to almost every card so I will hold off of this one. Just know, that I wanted to though. hee hee  Well I hope you have a wonderful day today!

Thanks Coach

Morning! Needed another coach's thank you for the regular season, now we are onto AAU basketball with a side of school baseball. And they were asked to play in a football 7 on 7 tournament on the west side during spring break. So all three sports for awhile. My oh my.... They are crazy young men that keep us busy. But it's all good!  ;-)

This guy is from Mo Manning called Slam Dunk and a perfect for a coach. I printed a larger version for this card. Colored with various Copic markers and just a few brads for accents. Voila! Super easy peasy for the man today. Had some down time as they were at practice to get a few done for this week. Hope to see you back and thanks for stopping by.

Jeremiah Sweet Peas Frame

Happy Friday! The Power Poppy Spring Fling March release was awesome! If you missed it, be sure to check out the store HERE for the eight stamp sets we released. You won't want to miss a single one.
Speaking of which.... I created a gift frame using Sweet Memories today and the scripture from Garden Fireworks digital set.

This is the last of the frames I bought awhile ago for a sweet deal at the local craft store. They make for great gift ideas and I knew that framing this scripture was going to be perfect. My sweet peas are all masked together from Sweet Memories to create the perfect accents around the scripture.
 There is so many possibilities with these for creating scenes I am just so excited. Colored with various Copic markers and some jewels and sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Birthday Tulips

Good morning! Did you enjoy the sneak peeks that Power Poppy had the last 5 days. That was a great release and I hope you check it out if you missed any of the stamps being released.
My creation today is using another retired set that I dusted off from CDS that is now closed. Digging through my old stamps sure has been a joy to stamp and color once again.

These tulips were one of my favorite. I colored them with various Copic markers and then die cut them using a Spellbinders circle. I used a piece of scrap designer paper for the base leaving some of the white on the sides which was perfect. Die cut a flourished die in white cardstock as well. My birthday sentiment in the middle with some sequins and sparkle to tie it all together. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Release day!!! Welcome Tiger Lily

Good morning and happy Power Poppy's release day!  The last week we have been showing you sneak peeks of  8 stamp sets being revealed tdoay.Yes I said 8 stamp sets! Before we get to today's reveal a few things to keep in mind.
***The Power and Spark challenge Let's Go Green challenge is posted and awaiting your creation.
***Digital images are 25% off for the month of March. Use code COLORMEHAPPY at check out.
***Kathy Racoosin 30 day color challenge is running through March.

For our final release we are showing off this gorgeous Tiger Lily XL! Marcy has inspiration behind this set over on the Power Poppy Blog
~~~Blooming News~~~ Check out the Power Poppy Blog for the "special" pricing, if you buy the Stamp AND the Matching die. Exciting!!!!
Now this Tiger Lily XL is AWESOME! The fun I am having with this flower is exciting. Here is my first creation a box with a belly band wrap around. My youngest sister actually asked me to make two give boxes for the teachers for my nephew's class. This is one of them with my Tiger Lily in 3D form.  :-)  Doesn't that just grab you and say wow! The flower is stamped out twice on cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I think cut around each peal and into the center to roll out the leaves a little bit for dimension.
Here you can see the peals are separated out a little bit more with the bell band removed from the box. It just slides on and off pretty easy. The box was created with the Gift Box Envelope Punch Board an 11 x 11 size piece of designer paper from SU long ago. It is very velvety and pretty I think with the flower.
 The Tiger Lily is popped up in the center with dimensionals and the flower center the same thing. Added a few leaves to the bottom and sparkles to finish it off. I have one more to make this same way yet a different color and hope to have a tutorial for you soon. Until then hope you have enjoyed the new releases this month.
This beautiful Peony Muse set is awesome! You have so many ways and ideas with the masking of the blooms that I didn't know where to start. ACK!!! I went with a single big bloom and a smaller one and a few leaves with the stem. They are all masked together using my Mini Misti tool. After the blooms were colored with various Copic markers I then cut around the image to pop up on dimensionals. The good news is you won't have to cut like I did if you want to use the matching die. hee hee
I wanted a white on white layer look so I die cut a few stitched rectangles and added a die cut lattice background. Popped the peony up on dimensionals and added some sequins along with the scripture. The inside has the full verse and a shadow of the peony you see. Voila!
Tickle me... I am just so excited that these tulips are in stamp form now. This is Loving Tulips and they HAD to be colored in blue first thing I tell you, they just had to.  :-)  Hello is one of the stamps in the set and it so whimsy and fun I think. After I stamped it off to the right I traced over it with one of the blue's and added sparkle to the letters. Added designer paper to the bottom and tied a button off with some silver cord. Topped it off with some pearls and more sparkles all around. Voila!
My creation using Succulent Singles. This stamp set is a variety of sizes in Succulent images for you to create your own little garden if you will. Recently I had seen quite a few little paper gardens created using a succulent punch. I thought to myself well I don't have that (YET) but I do have the best stamp in the industry to create a 3D version of my own succulent garden.  :-)  Here is a view so you can see that the carton is one of those berry ones at the local craft store. I tried to get a green one from the store but they were all yucky from the strawberries already so I went and bought these brown ones. Still cute. Wrapped some twine around the edge and used filler around the green foam to hold them in place.
Here is a top view to see the succulents more. There is three layers of the flowers for each one and the bottom layer is the one I used to poke the pin through to secure it to the foam block. Then I layered the other two layers with dimensionals and added sprigs of flowers around the base. Even pulled out my old SU wire and made some curlies that I shoved into the foam. Added a few pearls, stick pins and some sparkle around the flowers. The sentiment is stamped in white ink on the sign tag that I bought long ago and never used. Using more of the stuff sitting around here for a change. hee hee  My friend is going to like this as she can't keep real plants alive she says. ha ha!!
The reveal today is called Natural Beauties. This looks so much fresher in real life. For the life of me I could not get this picture to show better. I apologize for that in advance. This is just the sweetest springy bunch of flowers and then the others in the set are just as sweet. A very simple design with just a decorative die cut along the bottom panel. There is sparkles on the flowers and added sequins. Voila!
Moo-velous day
Oh my word! I totally forgot I even had this stamp until I was going through all my stuff the last few weeks. Isn't he adorable? This is an older stamp that was created for Totally Stampalicious that is now closed. However it is in a Digi format at Bugaboo now called Bobblehead Farm Cow. Isn't he so fun... :-)  The sentiment makes me giggle.
I wanted to create a masculine card with this guy and well.... this is a little more on the girlie side with the flowers. Might have to ink this again and give it another shot. The grass and fence are both die cuts that I cut to fit the panel and the rest of the die cut is on the inside to the side at the bottom. Adds a little touch on the inside.
Friday starts Power Poppy's March release and it is a BIG ONE! So be sure to come back for sneak peeks. :-)  Hope you have a wonderful day!
Birthday Henry Sparrow
Happy Sunday from Henry. Isn't he a little like Mr. Jack Sparrow in a way? hee hee  What a cutie pie I think. A funny story with the polaroid picture frame for this card. I had a scrap piece of paper that I was using to cut out a square for another card and it left behind this polaroid picture shaped frame. I see the die out there and thought hey.... I created it by accident how fun is that. So Mr Henry here is the perfect fit for a picture perfect birthday card.  :-)
This is an old stamp from a kit that is discontinued yet still a favorite of mine. He is colored with various Copic markers. Using up more of my older designer paper for this one. Added some faux stitching around the edge and some die cuts for the theme. Voila! A fun and cute birthday card. Hope you have a wonderful day!
March Calendar
My calendar for March is the start of spring with a little bit of mice in the rain. hee hee  Oh this House Mouse is darling isn't it. Not sure if its available anymore either. Again simple design and I forgot to write a scripture on this one, doh! I will let her fill in this month I guess. Various Copic markers for the coloring and just a tad of paper at the base again. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!
March is all about the sparkle
Today is the first of the month and that means the new Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is up. This month is all about Sparkle. So grab that glitter and let's add some sparkle to those creations. More details is over on the SCS Forum found HERE. Hope you can play along.
My intention was to post this last month and get another one done for this month. Lucky for me this works for both as I added lots of sparkle to this garland on the door. hee hee  :-)  This stamp is Christmas Door that is stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.
Here is a close up of the sparkle. My designer paper is from the Holly Jolly Christmas pack. A very simple card with some lace trim and ribbon for the accent. A few jewels down the side and lots of sparkle. Easy peasy! Thanks for stopping by today.
