Merci grazie thanks

Happy Friday. I needed a quick masculine thank you card this week and figured that was a chance to use my "new to me" embossing folder called thank you. I embossed a gray layer and then layered it onto some designer paper on the backside.

Stamped Big Script thank you and fish tailed the end once it was on the chocolate layer. Wrapped some twine and a button to the corner before adding to the card front. Voila, easy peasy masculine thanks!

Foxglove and friends

Good morning. This is a quick card using Dynamic Duo Foxglove and Ranunculus today. The base has the flowers lightly stamped on the two edges for some background shadowing. I then stamped and colored the flowers on the main panel using various Copic markers.

Added some designer paper to the main layer and adhered to the base. A few jewel accents and then some sparkle. Voila!

Deer birthday man

Another digital image that is no longer available. Man I need to either stop buying these or start using them more. The hard choices in life. ha ha  This did not quite turn out like I pictured it in my head either with the green grass like I added. Too late though once it was done I had to work with it.

Anyways, this one is using my Prisma colored pencils and some distressing around all the layers. A few brads as accents and my birthday sentiment. Voila!

Thanks a rose

Good morning!
This rose is just perfect for any type of card if you ask me. This is My English Rose that is stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. I cut around the rose to create a window to see the wood grain designer paper behind the main panel.

You can see that I am into the piercing of paper as of late as its a quick accent and I like how it looks. A few enamel dots to tie in the gray from the designer paper and my sentiment. Voila!

Star slugger

Is this not the cutest little baseball player? Oh my goodness this is from Sassy Cheryl's digital stamps called Home Run Hitter. Also got another little baseball guy that is sitting here to be colored. Bought these months ago and had time to play with them finally. He is colored with various Copic markers then I pierced around his image panel.

Added a little bit of texture to the blue layer as the red layer has a small texture already in the card stock. Wrapped some twine around the layers before adding to the base. Stamped my sentiment and added a Die light die cut (retired) and a button to the center. Top it off with a little sparkle to his hat and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Colin's in K5

Good morning. It is hard to believe but my nephew is starting K5 this coming week. It seems like just the other day he was born. His mom and him went school shopping for all his supplies and his favorite thing is his lunch box.  :-)  What a sweetie. I created a card for his first day using and old one from Sassy Cheryl's called Pencil Nerds

This piece of chalk board like background I have had forever waiting to use with a school like theme card. Yea! Layered onto some red paper and pierced around the edges. I then grabbed a few old dies for the base and the accents. My little guy is colored with various Copic markers and then I added the number and letter onto the star. Voila! I will surely get a hug and I love you Aunt Stacy which is always the way to my heart. hee hee   Hope you have a wonderful day.

Big Bloom birthday

It is Friday and we are out the door already, but not before I share this quick card using Big Sexy Blooms today. I had fun coloring this baby up. I trimmed this image down to fit the base panel like I wanted first leaving a green edge around the three sides. Then I colored with various Copic markers.

Next I layered onto the base and added my birthday sentiment with some piercing. A single jewel and some sparkles to finish it off. Voila! I hope you get to play around with paper this weekend.

Spring like thanks

As I mentioned Monday I had fun in the kraft room this weekend. Not only am I low on birthday cards I am low on everything including thank you cards. Gasp! Not sure I have been this low ever on cards for the stash. Even my hidden stash was bare. Time has been getting away from us but no worry I have a few in the stash at least a few now. Anyways...

This is a simple thank you card using a Freshly Made Sketch from a few months back. Yep a few months I put it on a sticky and am now getting to it. The springy paper in the bin was my color inspiration for this one. My sentiment is So Thankful from Sweet N Sassy stamps. Some notebook scrap die cut was perfect for the edge panel and some punched Lil Inkers flowers. Voila!
Have a wonderful day.

Dry dock birthday

Good morning. I hope you had a good weekend. For a change I was able to sit down and get some coloring in and create some cards. That is really good too since we have several birthday's coming up and I am out of all birthday cards. This image is a digital called In The Harbour which apparently is no longer available.

Printed on kraft card stock and then colored with Prisma colored pencils. Actually played around a lot with these this weekend which was super fun. Added piercing around the image panel and the base layers. A diamond textured background before I added the piercing to that layer.
Tied some twine around and a button for the birthday sentiment and voila! It sure was nice to get into some paper and colors this weekend. Have a wonderful day.

Heart a Bloom treat box

Happy Friday! A friend needed a few little boxes to put on the girls desks with chocolates inside and asked if I could come up with a few for her. That is an easy request so I got to work and came up with these. I used the bloom in the digital set Heart Abloom as I can enlarge it to fit the boxes.

The measurements for this box are easy.
The bottom: cut a piece of cardstock 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches. Score at 1 inch on all sides. Fold in the edges and adhere to form base.
The top:  cut a piece of cardstock 4 7/8 x 4 7/8 (now I might have that last part wrong. Basically two little tick marks from the 3/4 mark if the 7/8 isn't the correct conversion) Score at 1 inch on all sides and adhere to form the top.
The belly band I took a piece of maroon cardstock 1 inch thick and wrapped around the box and adhered together in the middle. The bloom covers the over lay so no need to worry about that.

Colored the bloom with various Copic markers and then added to the belly band. A few layers to the lid with some swiss dots for texture and voila. She can add whatever she needs to at this point but I think she will keep them as is since its a surprise. :-)

Wintertime wishes

Happy Monday. I finally got my card done for the Dirty Dozen August Christmas Challenge. Time is getting away from me lately sorry this is late. The challenge this month is fun and has lots of options. I used Cozy Cup fulls for my creation this month.

Played around with some distressing on the edges which I have not done in ages. I really like how it adds a simple touch to the edges. Wrapped some twine around the left side and tied off a wood button to the top. Some sparkle and voila!
Have a great day.
