Between now and the 31st of July, all Christmas sets will be a whopping 20% off! Just click HERE to see all the goodies that are on sale! We just got a NEW shipment of goodies, so we are stocked to the ceiling at Flourishes with Christmas goodies!

For those of you who play in our Christmas Spirit Challenge every month I am giving you a little hint at what the August Challenge is going to be. Can you figure it out from my card?
I pulled out the Dove and Holly card for my creation today and used the background stamp Holly. I can never seem to get the stinkin sparkle to show up in my cards, it is all over the holly in the background and the doves. The wonderful Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles make for a beautiful frame. Tie off the sentiment with Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennents. Easy Peasy this Saturday. Be sure to stop by and see what Julie has created today for the Christmas in July Sale. Thanks for stopping in with me today. Happy Christmas Shopping!

Picnic Basket

Supplies

Choose one of the files to the left to work with and your embellishments as desired.

Step 1

Take the base and score at 1/2 inch on all four sides of the panel. Then fold the tabs in and adhere to make the base

Step 2

Take the long side lattice pieces and score at 1/4 inch from the end (Score lines not shown here). Adhere adhesive to the ends of all four lattice panels. You will also want to adhere adhesive to the bottom of both of the side panels which I forgot to show here

Step 3

Adhere lattice end pieces first as shown

Step 4

Take the long side lattice pieces that are scored at 1/4 from each of the ends and attach them to the end pieces. Decorate edges if desired.

Step 5

Take the basket lid panel and score at 2 1/2 from the left, then score at 2 1/2 from the right side. This will be where you will adhere the lid secure as shown.

Step 6

Add stamped design or designer paper to the lid if desired. Add adhesive to the tabs and punch a small hole. Also punch a hole in the side of each lattice panel on the base

Step 7

Take the brad and poke it through the side of the basket first, add the handle design of choice to the brad. Next add the top panel with the tab through the brad and secure. This is what it should look like. You will do the same thing with the brad through the hole on the opposite side.

Step 8

Finish decorating as desired. This is my final picnic basket. Hope you enjoy your new picnic basket.

Watering Can

Files: I am unable to load the PDF File or the Silhouette file to this post. If you email me at Twinshappy1@yahoo.com and in the subject line put Watering can I can email you the files.

Supplies

NOTE: Cut a piece of solid card stock for the can 10 inch x 4.75 inched width. This piece is not in any of the files. Adhesive, scissors, designer paper.

Step 1

Take the long piece and score at 1/2 inch on one end and along side, add adhesive. Add any designer paper or textures if desired. Next make a bunch of little cuts along the taped section of the long side for adhering to your oval.

Step 2

Start on one of the oval corners and work your way around. This is what it will look like part way through adhering your panel.

Step 3

Once this is all the way around it should look like this. Don't worry it will attach to the other side once you fold them together. Remove the tape and adhere to the other side, this forms a tight oval for your watering can.

Step 4

Tape the spout add adhesive to one edge and fold in to adhere. Add adhesive to the end tabs. Take circles and adhere them together and add brads or jewels if you would like for the holes. The tabs on the spout will be what you attach to the circles underneath side

Step 5

The tabs on the bottom will fold in and lay flat against the side of the can. You will want to place these on one end of your watering can as shown.

Step 6

Take handle and score at 1/4 inch  from each end and add adhesive. Attach to side of can see below. Add top panel if desired. Decorate as desired.

Step 7

My finished watering can. Great little treat container. Hope you enjoy

Gift of Friendship

I can't believe it is Wednesday already, where has this week gone? Still trying to catch up on things at home which has left little time for stamping blogging or anything else. However I did make this box card from a tutorial over on SCS. This is such a fun fold and a great idea to hold gift cards, which this one did.

The darling Present Scarlette was my center of attention on my boxed card. When you remove the slider tag you see the extra sentiment I added. Don't forget that Totally Stampalicious is showing you some sneak peeks right NOW. The Blog Hop and July Release is at 9pm Central tomorrow Thursday prizes, fun and lots more. Hope to see you at the hop. Now head on over to the TS Blog and see what sneaks you have missed so far. Have a great day.

CHA 2011

Wow... CHA this year was a wonderful time all around. Stayed up late each night laughing and talking. This was a very blessed trip and I left with some new sisters! My flight home was a bit interesting and of course I held it together like a rock... NOT! Luckily the girls were there to help me out and make sure I got home to my family. They really are the best. Okay here are a few photos of the gang. I will show more later next week.

This photo has issues since the light reflects off the back wall. We had dinner at the Rosewood and it was divine. From left to right we have Me, Cindy Lawrence, Julie Koerber, Christine Okken, Barbara Anders, Sharon Doolittle and Jan Marie Caruso. The dessert at this place was fabulous and Christine had to help me eat mine. hee hee

Speaking of Christine here she is. Oh what a wonderful, sweet and beautiful person inside and then look how gorgeous she is outside. Christine is from Canada and to have her with us was such a treat and one I hope to repeat very soon!

My first Splitcoaststampers booth meet! It felt so odd meeting Lori Craig and Beate Johns like they are some royalty or something. ha ha Lori is an absolute doll and a joy to have met. She makes you feel right at home and welcome from the get go. Beate is fun and her accent is awesome. Very cool to be at the SCS booth to say hi.

Now this is all of us girls at the My Minds Eye paper booth. Oh Leslie we sure did miss you and Dawn at this booth. You girls would of gone NUTS seeing all this paper. Just wait it will be in your hands soon enough. This photo was for you to let you know we missed you.

Here is my friend from afar Judy Rozema. We have been friends and chatting on SCS for 5-6 years and FINALLY met. Such a great moment for me to meet her and know that we have shared so much over the years even from a distance. This is the second day and I have more photo's coming of our first meeting. I was a bit excited. hee hee

Wonder what I am doing with a dog? Well by now it is last day and we are at the super show and this gentlemen has this adorable puppy (well 5 years old named Bear) I saw him right away and asked if I could pet him. Cindy took a photo because she thought I was crazy. I missed Ranger so much I was lucky enough to get a quick snuggle with this puppy. Then we joked if someone has two boys running around they might freak if I hug there kids. LOL

I will end for now with the girls on our last day. Oh what a joy it was with you girls and I look forward to next year! Now to get going with the family for our day of fun. I sure did miss them. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Summer Watering Can

Happy Friday! I am home from CHA, we had so much fun. Very tired from the flight and all the excitment but worth it. I will have some photo's to share with you later this weekend.
The new templates at Clear Dollar Stamps are available. This is the last one of the three that I didn't show at the blog hop. A fun summer and spring Watering Can. I put some candies in this one but you can also have some flower seeds inside this for a great gift idea. The sentiment on the tag is from Bless my Bloomers. These templates come in a PDF and SVG format for those that have the machines for cutting SVG files. If you would like to see all the templates so far and links you can check at the top of my blog under Templates tab.

The other two templates incase you missed that are releasing are Mini Car and Picnic basket.

Well I should sift through my photos and get them posted for you all to see. First I need to take the puppy for a walk and spend sometime with the kids. Happy Shopping! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Talk about some fabulous and very generous sponsors for this challenge, you just have to check it out! You won't want to miss out on this fabulous prize package. If you are just joining us for the Blog Hop head on back to the beginning at the HMF Blog. If you just came from Natascha's Blog you are in the right spot.
For my card I used the adorable House Mouse called Baby Shoes. Isn't that just so sweet with them in the shoes? Buttons, bows and bling is the challenge. Several buttons tied with silver cord and my gingham checkered ribbon bow for the final touch. The little charm of the baby feet was calling my name so I added that as well. I have a bit of stickles on the laces however it is not showing up very well in the photo.

Simple and sweet today. Now hop on over to Sue aka Scoopy's Blog for your next hop.
I have 3 blog hop's to catch up on when I return from CHA. EEK... I am going to be busy when I get home. ha ha Till then, have a great day.

The Winners will be randomly chosen from comments received on two DT member blogs. Winners will be announced on the CDS blog Wednesday, July 20th.

The theme this month is Summertime. Lots of things come to mind for summertime so I am going to show you two things today. One thing we do a lot of is summer picnics. Here is a sneak peek of one new template coming out on July 22nd called Picnic Basket. I have some gummy watermelons tucked inside this picnic basket for a friend. The watermelons you see all around and on the card are from the set called Seasonal Swags that just came out. Ofcourse I had to use my favorite new die called Elegant Accents Die.

My other thing for summer is car trips and we have been on 2 already. This is another new template that you will find on the 22nd called Mini Car, is this just not adorable? I had so much fun with this one. The daisies are from Sentiment flowers stamp set. I have them all popped up on dimensinals. Looks like a little VW bug in a way. hee hee The sparkle didn't show up too well but each flower has some sparkle added to it.

Sure hope you have enjoyed the Summertime blog hop. July 22nd you will find these templates and another one that I have not shown today. You can find all current templates HERE. I am going to be at CHA all next week so I will catch up when I get back! Have a great day.

Today's set is called Moments in Time. Now this is very different for me and I am still debating if I really like this or just okay, but it was a try for me. It seems rather busy... but I am trying new things. Spellbinders has some beautiful shaped tags and I thought this was perfect for the main background. The hour glass is cut out and placed up on dimensionals. I threaded some brown leaf ribbon over the beautiful crochet ribbon and tied it off with a button twine bow. So what do you think? I am still out on this one. ha ha

I am not an orange person at all and to even have some in my cardstock is amazing. However I forced myself to give it a try and here is what I did. Very simple with a bit of crochet lace as a background piece, some sparkle on the flowers and a few jewels. Very easy peasy. This is a great shaped card that I do a lot of since its very eye catching in my opinion. Hope you have enjoyed the sneak the last few days! Today's set is called Bee my Honey and Honeycomb. This is such a darling set with so many possibilities. I have stamped the hive image out and colored with various copic collections. I took part of the sentiment Just buzzing by and added it to a tag using Spellbinders Nested Pennants. The springy BG paper called Sweet Threads is becoming a favorite set of mine. Added a few pearls and some lacey ribbon. Flourishes has some darling little flowers in called Arco Iris. These flowers are a hard flower so not for mailable items however great for gifts you had deliver. I added one to the center of my button, I really like how that turned out.

I adore Deacon Bugs and a friend needs some boy birthday cards so this was perfect. This is one of my favortie Spellbinders shapes and I use it often for shaped cards. I have a bit of stickles added to the net. My banner is using Birthday Pennents not too shabby for a shaped card. hee hee Have a wonderful day!

CDS Product Parade Day 4

Today is the last day of Clear Dollar Stamps Product Parade. All the sets you have seen the last few days will be available on July 11th. Enjoy the last of the sneaks and happy shopping! First up we have A time for tags. Need some quick cards for my stash of last minute cards, this one was easy peasy. Just a bit of ribbon and a few jewels.

Next is a gift that I made to hold scripture cards. When I was a kid I had what I called the "old lady" scripture holder so this is a more modern version as you will. This scripture Numbers 6:24-26 will always display if a card is not put out.

When you flip the lid open you can see all the scripture cards inside. So far I have only 6 in there, but I am working on getting the rest made up.

Now this is what it will look like when you put a scripture card up for display. This is just beautiful I think and not old lady feeling. I made this as a gift but the more I look at it on the counter I want to keep it for myself. ha ha

My last one today is from the set Assemble Together. Pretty pink and feminine praying for you card. I can always use these. I can't get enough of this crochet lace its just awesome.

Well that is the last of my sneaks, but the Design Team have some goodies for you:

CDS Product Parade day 3

It is day 3 of Clear Dollar Stamps July release. Have you enjoyed the sneaks so far? Remember these are all available on July 11th at the CDS Store. First up is My little school bus. Is this not the cutest stinkin bus? I adore this set. I made this for the boys teacher this year and gave it to her the last day of school.

Now this doesn't even begin to show you the set Squirrel Chatter. However I got this adorable charm from my good friend America. It totally fit the sentiment so I went with it. hee hee That fabulous bakers twine everyone has been using... I finally got me some. :0)

Fabulous set next is called Seasonal Swags. There is 4 in the set and they are AWESOME! I bought one of the My Time Made Easy templates called Birdcage. Isn't this so COOL! Another gift for the boys teacher this year and she loved it. There was a beautiful green ivy plant inside and it looked great when she got it.

If you weren't smiling already you are now. Is he so sweet or what... This is Hedgehog Happiness. Adorable little guy.
