FS434 End of an Era

This weeks Featured Stamper FS434 is Veritycards. Fantastic gallery and too many to want to case. ha ha  I choose this Lavendar beauty to case. I kept with the over all theme, colors and flowers. I changed the sentiment, flowers and added some jewels.

This is a retired set called Winter Blossoms that I actually have stamped out a few times and layered up for dimension. The petals are even rounded under and cut between to give a more life like feel as the original card shows. Used my new retirement stamp set, okay the only retirement stamp set I have from SNSS called Retirement Sentiments. Layered this onto a Spellbinders oval and decorative oval with a few flourished jewels. Voila!

Who's special to you?

Happy Friday!  Time is running out for your chance to WIN in our Cut it Out Challenge! Check it out on the Power Poppy Blog for last minute details. My card today is inspired by a photo I found on Pinterest.

The orange looks awesome right!?!  Orange is not a color that I have been fond of in the past, however it is really growing on my the last year or so. Figured why not and went for it. I do like how this turned out! After coloring the Bees in Foxglove, I die cut them with a Spellbinders circle, and layered on a scallop circle. Added a little bit of faux stitching around the edges and some paper flourishes with Cherry Lynn die. A few enamel dots and voila!

Lady bug thank you

Finally got this done Saturday. A small gift for a friend with a darling mug I found at the local store. Bought the mug two weeks ago and wanted to get this done then. It is finally done, never too late!  It has her favorite chocolates inside.  ;-)  My tag is using Big Scripts with some added flourishes die and tiny flowers. Easy peasy thank you gift! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Crisp and clean lavendar

You guessed it, another simple design today. When I said I had sometime to stamp Saturday I did. However I was a little rusty. The last few months it has been like hurry and get the card together and head out. So on Saturday, I had the whole day to sit here and stamp which seemed rather strange. ha ha  What FUN it was. Once I got going it all started to flow... at least I think. This is Lavendar that I stamped on white card stock and colored with Copics. A simple layer of scrap designer paper with a ODBD Beautiful borders edge to the side. A few sequins accents and voila! I like how pretty this turned out.

Anchor the soul

This turned rather patrotic looking and that was not my intention.  Another set that I bought and needs a bit more love with ink called, Anchor the soul. I stamped the image on white card stock and colored with Copics. The designer paper is from a pack that I only had used once, gasp!!! I need to use my supplies more I think. Maybe I should start a campaign to not buy anymore until I used something a few times? Think that would work... probably only if I stayed away from all the new goodies out there. Moving on... :-)   Simple design with just a few sparklers and voila! Easy Peasy. Hope you have a great day.

Birthday Rock

Loving this extra long weekend and I know the kids are. Not like school is out in another week or anything though, right?  :-)   Got a lot of stamping time in on Saturday, yea!!!  Worked on some new release stuff for Power Poppy! Oh you are going to swoon!!!  Sneak Peeks start on June 3rd, so make sure to check back in for those.

I bought this fun rocker like set from Taylored Expressions when it came out and haven't played with it much. Created a few fun birthday cards with You're My Hero and matching die set. My large star die is from a Whiff of Joy Die-lights nested stars. A few enamel dots on the splatter and voila! I really like how these turned out. Thanks for stopping in today.

Tulip Box

Supplies:

Card stock, scissors, adhesive, Timeless Rectangles Die.

Step 1:

Die cut two Timeless Rectangles shapes with solid card stock. Set aside for now

Step 2:

Let's work with the box base first. Cut a piece of card stock 5 3/4 in length x 4 inches width. Score a 3/4 border on each side and pre-fold score lines as shown.

Step 3:

Cut the tabs along the length side of the box base as shown. Add adhesive to each tab.

Step 4:

Adhere the tabs to the inside of the box base. Here you see one side complete. To the right is when all sides are adhered to form base

Step 5:

Turn box base over and add adhesive to the bottom as shown. Take one of the die cuts (face up, so its very pretty) and adhere your box to the center of the die cut as shown. Set aside for now.

Step 6:

Let's work with the lid. Cut a piece of card stock 5 7/8 inch length x 4 1/8 width. Score at 3/4 on each side and repeat steps 3 & 4 to form box lid.

Step 7:

Turn box lid over and add adhesive as shown. Now place lid on top of box. See next photo if needed

Step 8:

Decorate the second die cut if desired now before you adhere to the box lid. In the photo the lid is on the box base for ease of matching up the dies when adhering the lid. On the right you see how to line up the dies from the top. Adhere once lined up.

Step 9:

This is what your box should look like. Decorate as desired. My final box on the right is using Dynamic Duos Peonies and Tulips stamp set. Added a few jewels and voila! Enjoy!

Tulip Box birthday surprise

Good morning! This is a box that I created using the Timeless Rectangles Spellbinders die. I call this the Tulip Box, and you can create your own using my Tulip Box tutorial if you would like. This is a fun box and can fit several different kind of goodies. I have snack size snickers with almonds in this one for my friends birthday.  ;-)

Flowering Branch gift box

Happy Monday! School is just about done for the year and summer vacation will be here. Lots to get done before the end of the year for us. Projects mostly as of late and tests. Oh my... Not sure who is more excited for summer them or me? hee hee
Had some time to play in the stamp room Saturday night, yea!  Finally got around to altering this Clear Box that I wanted to do. I have a Altered Clear Box tutorial if you would like to alter your own.

This is using the beautiful Flowering Branches for the front design. These boxes are awesome! Since I order the 5 x 5 boxes from a stationary company they come in these awesome clear boxes. Well that is an obvious re-use item to me. A few envelopes and some handmade cards and you have an instant gift box.  :-)  This was pretty straight forward for design. One down and three to go. Great gift ideas for the teachers.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

FS432 Springy Cones

This weeks Featured Stamper FS432 is Naomi aka NaomiW. I choose this Floral card to case. I kept the colors, similar flower and over all sketch. Changed the size of the card, different flower but a cone flower none the less, added ribbon and lace trim and omitted the sentiment.

Another set that I dusted off recently from my retired pile called With Gratitude. These cones flowers sure to make me smile. They are stamped on white card stock and colored with orange like colors. matted on an decorative oval frame. Wrapped some lace trim and ribbon that I tied off with a button and twine combo. Added a few enamel dots and voila!

Create your own sunshine

Happy Friday and welcome to the May Instant Garden release at Power Poppy. We joined the Instant Garden team this month to reveal the new Bees in Foxglove!!! A few words from out lovely leader:
Our newest addition to the Instant Garden Collection just happens to be one that's a tall beauty that's not only colorful but a dramatic beauty. Our newest set, Bees in Foxglove, features three lush stalks of foxglove (Digitalis) with three plump bumblees buzzing around doing their bumblebee thing! Add in a cheery all occasion sentiment and you have one stunning set that is ready to download, print, color and create with!

My creation is pretty easy peasy today. Once my blooms were printed and colored with Copic markers, a simple rectangle was the perfect frame. Of course the border needed to be scored before it was attached to the base designer paper. Tied my sentiment that comes with the new digital, with a button and twine combo. A favorite Spellbinders frame for the base and just a little bit of late and trim to finish it off. A hint of sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

FS430 Birthday Flowers

Happy Mother's Day! Hope you enjoy your day however you are spending it!  ;-)

This weeks Featured Stamper is Peeps321 aka Polly. I choose this Birthday Wishes card to case. Need a lot of birthday cards this month and next, so you will see a lot more. Kept the layout, similar colors, a flower and changed the rest.
My dahlia is a retired set that needed a little dusting off today. I cut around the blooms after they were colored and added dimensionals to the back. Die cut my square in some designer paper as Polly has done. Added a few sequins to the square panel and voila! Hope you can play along this week!

Birthday Blooms

Happy Friday! In case you missed the post, the new Power and Spark challenge is posted. This months challenge is called Cut it Out! Simply cut around those beautiful blooms and give them a little lift. Find out the details on the Power Poppy Blog and for your chance to win a free stamp set! Can't wait to see what you cut out!  Hope you can play along.

Cutting around an image is always fun, at least for me. I like the intricate cutting and the extra umph it gives the cards. This is a very basic card today using Winter Pick me Up. After my blooms were colored I cut around the image and added dimensionals up to the back. Used some gingham soft green paper for the background and wrapped a paper lace trim over some purple paper to bring out the blooms colors. A few sequins and voila!

Cut it out!

Happy Friday!!! Long week of games, but now we get to work on end of the year projects all weekend. Is anyone else ready for summer yet? hee hee   I am kidding! If you have time to play in your craft room this weekend, check out the Power and Spark challenge over on the Power Poppy Blog! This months challenge is hosted by myself and its called Cut It Out! Simply cut around those blooms for a beautiful extra touch. Can't wait to see all your delicate cutting!

Time was not on my side this week for a new sample. However I have two for you today that give you an idea of what the challenge is all about. This one is using the beautiful Simply Camilla's. See how wonderful the blooms and leaves look all cut out? They are popped up on dimensionals for an added touch.

My next card is using the Countryside Bouquet Deluxe. There are a lot more tiny leaves to cut around on this image, yet so fun.

There really is nothing to it! So get to cutting those blooms out.
