Penciled thank you

Good morning! Okay I mentioned that I bought some new colored pencils and here is one of the cards I colored using the new colors. This is Hellebores that is on white card stock. The new shades of Prisma colored pencils I have are three shades of purple and a light pink. Springy colors for this card.

Very simple with just some larger dots embossed on the background base panel. My sentiment is circle punched for the corner. Some piercing along the side and a button with some twine. Voila!

I do have a few more colored up with my new pencils and that is good because my books arrived today. One of  my other favorite things to do is read, mostly Christian fiction but I do have some history books in there but Christian books are my favorite. It has been YEARS since I read Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness books so I bought them again to read. I loan books out a lot and forget to get them back, no biggie except when I am talking to someone about them and then want to read them again. Anyways, I was discussing these books with a friend and that got me to looking for them and they are gone again so I ordered them right away. They arrived courtesy of 2 day shipping... woot woot.... I am a fast reader so it won't take too long, but that means my stamping has to take a back seat. ha ha  A woman only has so many hours in the day ya know. Baseball started this week and their first game isn't for a bit so I have time to read even more. Take advantage of it my husband said.  ;-)  Anyways...  enough babbling. Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello friend, for you

Good morning. This is my one last one using Hello Friend for you. The crisp feeling of this card is what makes me swoon. All that white space.... aaaahhhhh...

Each of these flowers I stamped, colored then cut out so I could cut between the petals. Each one has been cut around towards the center so I could roll the edges and then pop up on dimensionals from the base. I also die cut a Spellbinders edge along the bottom and added a flourished die cut behind the flowers. My sentiment in the top corner with some scattered pearls and sparkles to finish it off. Voila!

Birthday Poppies

Good morning and happy Friday! Last weekend I went to the craft store and bought some new Prisma colored pencils and I have been playing this week with them. I will be sharing some of those creations next week. It sure has been a very different coloring medium from Copics I tell you. A nice change I would say. Anyways....

My creation today is using Poppies. I decided that it was the perfect set for the 40th birthday card I needed to create.
I stamped the Poppies in the corner of my panel and colored with various Copic markers. Also stamped a few out so that I could cut them out and add them to the zero of the number die cuts. Pierced a simple border around the panel before adding to the base. Some pearls and sparkle to finish this off. Very crisp and clean feeling. Voila!

Yellow Flowers

Cheerful hello! Doesn't this in yellow just say Hi, How are you today? Want to smile? hee hee  I do like how cheerful this looks and feel. This is from Hello Friend again and the same vintage die pattern for the base.

The inside of the die cut is stamped with a summer yellow Flourish label border that fits this particular die. Added some designer paper behind the die and then to the base. Scatters some pearls around the sentiment and some suduko gel pen to the flowers. You are not able to see that very well in the picture as usual. ;-)  Thanks for stopping by.

Grateful for you

My new stamp set and dies arrived the other day and I was able to play a little bit yesterday. This is called Hello Friend and has the matching die to the flowers and leaves in the set. The flowers are colored with various Copic markers and then die cut so they can be popped up around the card base.

My card base is using the decorative die called Vintage Flourish Pattern that is in white. Stamped the sentiments around the middle as I wanted. Added the flowers around the edges and some jewels for accents. Voila! I am really enjoying this set and have a few more to show you in the coming days. Just need to finish them. Have a wonderful day.

Kind Peony

Good morning. Yes I did need to play with Tree Peony just one more time this week as you can see. How do you not just love coloring flower petals? It is very relaxing and you can do just about any size with a digi image. Aaahhhhh.   Anyways.... We have a few things going on at the PP Blog. Firstly the newest Instant Garden Release called Heart ABloom.
Then we have our Power and Spark Challenge this month called Love to Sparkle.
Lastly our Hues to Use challenge this week. Several fun things for you to check out this extra long weekend.  ;-)

This one is a little smaller than the one I did the other day so it would fit inside the die I wanted. Colored with various Copic markers in the purple hues. My sentiment is from Nice Things to Say stamp set in the corner. A few pearls and some sparkle finishes this off. Voila!

Friend, my heart a blooms with amazement

Good morning! Are you all ready for the newest Instant Garden digital Color Story from Power Poppy? Well buckle your seat belt this one is GORGEOUS! They are all gorgeous, but this one is close to the heart.  ;-)

Say hello to Heart ABloom! Oh my oh my.... Marcy has some beautiful pictures and story behind her latest in the Color Story Collection series over on the Power Poppy Blog. My week was crazy so I started to color up the larger image last night and only have time to show you the single blossom in this digi called Heart ABloom Hellebore

Now just look at those petals and the layering you can do. Oh talk about swooning! That is yet to come, like I said crazy week. Just happy I did get to color this baby up. I simply cut around the blossom after it was colored with various Copic markers. I then popped it up on dimensionals to the base.
The base is using a Spellbinders die shape and a few layers of matching cardstock. Stamped the sentiment from Vibrant thanks before I added some swiss dots to the white panel. I did sponged it in purple, but with the gray skies it doesn't show well in my photo either sorry about that.  A few jewels and scattered about and a few sparkles for the center of the flower. Voila!

Be sure to check out the Power Poppy girls who colored up the latest today:

Happy Valentine's day

This is my last one using Va Va Valentines at least for now. My image is colored with various Copic markers then die cut using a standard circle die.

I then die cut a scalloped heart for the background. The circle is popped up on dimensionals away from the heart. Added some designer paper to the base along the left side. Some enamel dots and a red ribbon with sparkles to finish it off. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Sweet sock valentine

Good morning. Today's card is using Va Va Valentine for a special request from someone using these adorable socks. Since it is for a girl I knew I wanted to use some extra hearts and lots of sparkle. The heart background panel is a retired Die-Light no longer available but was going to be perfect for the base behind the socks.

The designer paper was my color choices for the card. I added some faux stitching along the border and added to the base. A die cut flourished leaf and some die cut hearts for the side. Sequins and sparkle to finish it off, Voila! I adore how this turned out especially since I know she is going to love it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary socks

Happy Friday! The Power and Spark challenge this month is Love to Sparkle. Be sure to link up your creations for your chance to win! I add sparkle to most cards anymore it seems, but the added love is perfect. I knew the minute I saw the Va Va Valentine digi that it was meant to be this years Anniversary card for my husband. These digi's can be used for more than just valentine cards which is great. I colored the socks with copic markers and then layered onto some pink card stock.

Before I layered the designer paper to the base I added a Spellbinders die cut edge to the base and my sentiment panel in the middle. A few silver brads to the top right and then added the image panel and some sparkle of course. I think this turned out super cute and I know he will appreciate it.

Grateful Peony Friend

Hello. Well the basketball season is officially wrapped up for the boys. We have a few weeks break before baseball officially starts and I could use the break myself.  :-)  Just a few things to get taken care of before we are off to the races again. I enjoy every minute of it, don't kid yourself. hee hee

Just a quick card for you today using Tree Peony image. I have enlarged it to fit the panel of my card base. My flower is colored using various Copic markers then cut around so that I could pop it up on dimensionals on the base.
The base is die cut using a Spellbinders die and then a strip of designer paper added to the edge. Also on the inside is a matching strip so when the card is closed you see the designer paper through the die cut. My sentiment from Nice Things to Say stamp set and then a few sequins to finish it off. Voila!

Pretty Grate

Hello. I am getting a head start on my cards this year with these adorable Va Va Valentine's from Power Poppy. Aren't they just super cute? Now I bet you are wondering why my cheese hearts aren't yellow to match the cheese. Well.... I just couldn't color them yellow, and yes I know they should be. It just looked strange on paper I don't know why. Can I honestly tell you though, that the person who gets this card probably won't care what color they are. ha ha

This was a pretty easy peasy card as I just added some piercing around the edges and to the gray panel behind the image circle. A few enamel dots for accents and some sparkle to finish it off. Easy Peasy like I said.  Hope you have a great day!

Congrats to Mikayla

The daughter of our good friends just graduated with her BA degree and I thought I would use one of my older Anya Greeting farm stamps sets for her card. What is sad is I don't even see that they make these particular sets anymore. They are so cute and I guess that is a good thing I have all the ones I want. Anyways, she is colored with various Copic markers and then die cut with a oval shape.

Layered her over a doily die cut and to the base. Lately the heart die cut border and strip of paper with the faux stitching are my favorite addition to cards. :-)  Added some more faux stitching to the sentiment tag and my banners at the top. Then some scattered sequins and sparkles to finish it off. Voila! Be sure to check back as I have several valentine creations to share with you in the coming days. Have a wonderful day.

Biggest Fan

Hello and happy Friday. Did you see the latest valentine digi's from Marcy? Oh my word they are so adorable and fun to color. I went to town the other day and created just about one with every new digi. These are called Va Va Valentine! How fun is that! These are super sweet and are perfect for those special people in our lives.

This is pretty easy peasy which makes it perfect.  :-)  I colored the image with various Copic markers and then added a simple scored border. My base has a layer of designer paper that I faux stitched to a heart die-light die cut. Added some sparkle and a few enamel dots to finish it off. Voila
