FF Handpicked
Happy Friday! I don't know about you but the last 2 weeks has been busy on top of busy for us. I finally got to sit down on Wednesday for a bit of stamping and that was even rushed a bit. Oh well enjoy it while I can. Today's Friday Focus over on Flourishes Blog is brought to us by Cindy and she is focusing on Copic markers. Flourishes has the new collections in, have you glanced at them yet? They are really cool and a great addition to your collections you have already.
I pulled out Berry Sweet and Basketweave for my creation. I love coloring these berries they can be whatever berry you want for the day. :0) Crocus Copic collection is great for a huckleberry so I went with those. the leaves are colored with Evergreen Copic collection. The basketweave makes for a great background, not mention it is quick and easy. Simply added a bit of ribbon with some lace trim and topped it off with some jewels. Simple and sweet. Be sure to check out the DT's creations with Copics:

I can't believe I did this...
Happy Monday! But first thing is first... I have to correct myself as my DH has so loving laughed his little heart out. I.... Stacy... made a mistake on how many years we have been married. Yep I had said 11 years and it has been 12 years. Oh my goodness, you have no idea the laugh he got at MY mistake. And then on my blog non the less. I have corrected my post as not to confuse my children later in life. ha ha Now you know he will never let me live this down and the whole family got to hear about it also. To my defense I thought it sounded odd but I didn't think twice about it since I never get it wrong. ha ha Oh well, you all get a good laugh at this. :0)
This House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge 96 is brought to you by ME. Of the 5 people who read my blog (ha ha) you know that I am a huge football fan! The football season is one of the funnest in our house with all our teams we each love. So when my turn came up for a challenge it was no doubt going to be something football related in honor of the Green Bay Packers winning this years Super Bowl. My team is the Colts as you know, however my good friend America here is a huge Chicago Bears fan. So this challenge was a little inspired to razz her in the loss they took against the Green Bay Packers one of the twins favorite team. You know I love ya girlie!
The challenge is Football Frenzy... something football or super bowl inspired. Use a teams colors, the field or players. Have fun with it! This weeks Sponsor is Di's Digi Downloads with a prize of 3 Digis.
I went with the Green Bay Packers colors for my creation. This is a new House Mouse that I got last month called Citrus Punch. I love the sour looks on their faces. hee hee The shine didn't show up very well in the photo, however each of the cut slices has liquid glass on them for the wet look. I had so much fun with this challenge. I hope you can play along with us! Have a wonderful day.

Fisherman's Bag
Today is Clear Dollar Stamps Digi Release and we have a fun new template for you. If you are just joining us head on over the Clear Dollar stamps store or Lori's Blog to see the new digi sets today. The sentiment set that you can print and go with this is adorable and fun.
Now for the new template I came out with Fishing Bag. File comes with SVG file(for machine cutting) and PDF file (for hand cutting). Perfect for Father's Day, birthday party favors, and, wow, the list could go on and on! Fill them with gummy worms or gummy fish! Fill them with fishing lures, bait, and hooks! What a treat either way!

I made a darling Fishers Bag for my Dad and Lori liked the idea for a template. If you missed my other one you can see it HERE. I kept this one fairly clean and simple but you can add so much to the outside like textures, designer papers. My mom even suggested adding some pockets to the front. I put some lures, weights and line inside this one for my dad. Since the other one was for his tummy more than the fishes tummy. ha ha
Hope you have a wonderful day!

A Big Happy Birthday to my Boys...
Happy 10th Birthday Boys! We have a fun filled weekend planned for these two. They are growing so fast and each year I tell them to stop growing up. :0) Yet they continue to gorw into wonderful young men. We are so blessed to have them. I took this before school this morning and told them I would post it up, if you could say Happy birthday that would be so fun!
Another celebration this weekend is DH and my anniversary. We dated for 3 years before we got married and Sunday marks our 12 year anniversary of our wedding day. I am so fortunate to have such a god fearing man for a husband. When I count the years we were friends, then dated and now married I feel so lucky and blessed. I also feel spoiled and that is how a marriage should feel. Like you have something special that noone else gets. Happy Anniversary honey! He is gonna love this on the blog. hee hee Have a great weekend everyone!

5th Ave is going Country
Flourishes newest 1,2,3 Create kit is called 5th Ave. This set is beautiful and I have enjoyed playing around with it. Today I have a cute little country feel to my creation. I used the new release set called Country Charms Labels. The sparkle isn't showing up too well in the photo, however I have added it to the flowers and the border. This new set Country Charms Labels and Borders fits perfectly in the Spellbinders Grommet Tags.
Be sure to check out what creations Julie, Danielle and Sharon came up with using the new kit. Have a great day.

The decorative panel is using a piece from my scrap bin. I am giving this to my dad this week when I help him plant the garden. I know he will love the gummy worms. hee hee

Flourishes Wedded Bliss
Hello and happy Wednesday! I don't know about you but I have had a fabulous week and its only mid week. Today is day one for Flourishes Sneak Peeks for the May sets. We posted up some important information and changes to our release last week, did you catch it? If not you can read all about it on Flourishes Blog today. Don't forget about the Pre-Challenge "Word to your Mother" and play along HERE.
Today on the runway we have been showing you Wedded Bliss. One thing I loved when I got our wedding cards was all the classy black and white cards. I know very traditional but I had a traditional wedding. The black and white is just so classy, so it was my inspiration for today. I have sparkle all over the swirls in her dress but could not get it to photo for nothing. The beautiful Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles added the right kind of elegance to my frame. I cut out the center and have the frame popped up on dimensionals. Pretty cool huh. Added a few pearls and a sheer ribbon bow to finish it off. The wine in the glasses was colored with Copic marker R59.
Be sure to check out the beautiful creations from the Design team today:

Today at noon Flourishes Blog unveils Challenge #1 Three in a Row. A extra bonus for you is that Wedded Bliss is live in the store at 9am CST! See you back here tomorrow!

5th Avenue 1,2,3 Create Kit
****House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge is below this post****
Happy Monday! Today Flourishes is unveiling the NEW 1,2,3 Create kit called 5th Avenue! This kit is gorgeous and we have a limited number of these so don't miss your chance to get one. As I mentioned on Friday I made a few gift sets with the kit. The first one was for my mother in law and you can see it here if you missed it. This one I made for my mom. I made a tote, several cards and an altered notepad.
Here is a photo of the notepad and tote holding the cards. These 1,2,3 create kits are perfect for gift sets if you want them to all match, as I do. More than enough goodies in all for a beautiful gift for any occasion.
This is showing the notecards in the tote. I used the stamp sets Motherly Love and Tag Lines. This lace trim is so elegant and the rosets are the finishing touch. Each one has a special little elegance.
I hope you have enjoyed the newest 1,2,3 Create kit! Check out Danielle and Sharon to see what they came up with using the new 5th avenue kit today! Be sure to check back on Wednesday as we unveil the new release for May and our fun new challenges!

Fishing Bag
File: I am unable to load the PDF file or SVG file to this post. If you email me at Twinshappy1@yahoo.com in the subject line put Fishing Bag I will email you the files.
Supplies
A file down load of your choice at the left. Any embellishments you desire
Step 1
Take the base shape and pre-fold score lines. Set aside
Step 2
If you would like the side of your bag to have stamping or texture you will do that now. Take the piece that will be your bag sides and add adhesive around three edges
Step 3
Along the bottom edge cut several little spots along the tape as this will help the bag curve around the base. On the corners cut a diagonal line to help insert the corners onto base
Step 4
Use one end of the half moon from your base you set aside and adhere around the edge like shown.
Step 5
Add adhesive to the edge and secure to the bag sides.
Step 6
Adhere your handle to the inside of bag. Attach bag flap to the top and decorate as desired
Step 7
Here is my final bag with gummy worms inside. Hope you enjoy your new fishing bag
Flourishes has some changes....
Happy Friday! Today marks Flourishes Pre-Release challenge for the May release. This challenge is your chance to win the entire May Release. But before I get to that we have something exciting to share with you.
We're on the verge of taking the lid off 4 brand new Flourishes stamp sets and boy, oh, boy – do we have a lot of fun planned! Consider this your rundown for the week – a primer of what to expect and when!
The REAL action starts Wednesday at midnight CST – when we'll unveil a sneak followed by a different designer's creation using the set of the day each hour on the hour! Just like those high fashion models walking down the runway, you're going to want to oooooo and ahhhhh at these ladies' card "fashions" making their way down the Flourishes red carpet runway. The full stamp set reveal will come around 9 AM CST – so you can see the stamp set that created all those beauties (and it will be available to purchase in the store then too!) Each day at NOON CST, Wednesday through Friday, we'll usher in a NEW Release Week Challenge that you can get in on to help in the fun! Play along and you could walk away with THE ENTIRE FLOURISHES MAY RELEASE! That's right, all four stamp sets!
Is this not exciting? We are thrilled and hope you can join in the fun! Now for the pre-challenge, its Word to your Mother. All the details are at Flourishes Blog! Hope you get a chance to play along!
I have another little surprise for you with my creation for the Word to your Mother Challenge. I asked Julie if I could show a little sneaky peek at the New 1,2,3 Create Kit coming out Monday its called 5th Avenue. I made a few gift sets with the kit and this is one of them. Isn't this just fabulous? I ADORE the kit! I am very close to my MIL and cherish her godly wisdom, thoughts and insight to life. This gift is for her as I feel at times she is just as much my mom in her guideance as my mom.
The Motherly Love stamp set is perfect for this challenge it is so versatile for a gift set. I recovered a journal with some of the beautiful wide pretty pink ribbon in the kit. These charms and rosets are beautiful accents together. Ofcourse I had to make a card to go along with the journal and bookmark. I love the elegance of the papers, the ribbons, trims and rosets. It all just seems so feminine. Don't forget the charms they are so stinking cool! Be sure not to miss this New 1,2,3 Create kit coming out Monday May 9th called 5th Avenue! Check out the awesome creations from the DT today on Word to your Mother:

Masculine Elk
I am working on a card request for a friend that needs some masculine cards. I am keeping them sentiment free incase she would like to use them for any occasion. This is the Hunting set from Close To My Heart I got years ago. I love all the animals in this set. The one above I used a cuttlebug folder that I hardly use but is so cool I think. Added a few brads and done.
I have a few layers to say the least on this card. I pierced around one of the panels and added a few brads. Turned out pretty good for a masculine cards.
Thanks for stopping in with me today! Be sure to check back on Friday for Flourishes pre-Challenge and your chance to win the May stamp release.

I needed a birthday card this week and Kids Play was calling out to me. I think the rosets in this kit are awesome. You can never go wrong with flowers and jewels for any woman any age in my opinion. I stamped the image in Pretty In Pink ink and popped the panel up on dimensionals. A few of the girls are playing with the Gabrielle kit today also be sure to stop by: Julie, Barbara and Sharon today!
Last week was long and busy, this week isn't looking any less hectic. The end of the school year is always crazy the last month or so and then throw some family things in the mix and you have a busy house. Hope I can get some stamping time in and bloggin. I sure do miss them both when its so crazy. I am ready for summer.... long lazy days. hee hee Hope you have a great day!

Flourishes Christmas Spirit challenge is Only use a poinsetta flower. We are giving away 5 Warm Winter Wishes sets this month in the drawing for those that play along. Check out the SCS Forum for all the details and last months winners!
I have a hard time coloring this flower and I have tried and tried over the years. I just have to deal with the fact this flower is going to eluded me forever. ha ha I have the small flower from the Poinsettia and Boxwood for my card today. The sentiment is stamped on Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags Two. They are each cut out and popped up on dimensionals. Very simple Christmas card and could possibly pass as a standard postage stamp this year.... we will see I guess. Hope you get a chance to play along with us!
