Lilac Gift Set

Happy Friday! You still have time to play in our Power and Spark Challenge. Check out all the details HERE! Hope you can play along!

Today I am going to share with you a gift set that I made for a friend. Well I am going to show you one of the cards, the rest you have to wait for.  ;-)  This box was super easy to create using the Envelope Punch Board. I have a tutorial if you have one want to create your own box. Check out my Envelope Box tutorial and create your own gift set. I sure am enjoying this board since I dusted it off a few weeks ago. All the things you can make with it are awesome.

Our newest French Lilac set is a beautiful drawing of Marcy's and one that I have colored several of already. The front I have delicately cut around the blooms and added them to the front of the box. The wood grain paper makes this look cool with the Lilac I thought. Added a circled punch thank you sentiment from the set Dynamic Duos: Glad and Gerberas. A sheer ribbon bow with a few sequins. Voila. My first card in the set has a button twine wrapped around the bottom that is also die cut with a spellbinders die you will see later. Easy Peasy and what a fun gift set! Thanks for stopping in today.

Serenity is nice, if you remember it

Good morning! Something about this prayer just eludes me at times, how about you? You would think reading this, seeing this and knowing this it wouldn't but it does at times. Aaaahhh... Guess that is why we are a work in progress, right.  ;-)

This stamp is called Serenity Prayer that I stamped onto white card stock. Die cut a Spellbinders oval frame around it and textured the background panel. Added some Cherry Lynn Flourished swirls die cut in white also, and a few of my remaining dark eggplant prima's my friend Pat made me. Voila!  Hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Thoughts

This sweet Gruffies (now at Stampendous) called Lilac Bear was asking to be colored this weekend so I grabbed my Copics and colored.  :-)  He is stamped on white card stock and die cut with a Spellbinders frame. The House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge this week  is "Friends". These flowers are for my friend and I know she will adore this bear.  I added a fun little fence to the front along with some flowers and petals to the ends. My sentiment has a button and twine combo on the edge. A few scattered jewels and voila!

Soft Camilla's

This weeks Featured Stamper 420 is Sue aka Sue28. Lots of great creations to choose to case. I choose this Bermuda Leaves card to case. I kept the over all layout, large flower. I removed the sentiment, changed the papers, colors and actual flower. Congrats Sue and enjoy your week!

These Camellia's are a joy to color I think I have said before. You can add such rich color or light as I have here with soft pinks and greens. Simple Spellbinders oval for the frame shape that is popped up on dimensionals. I then did a few simple layers with card stock and wrapped a ribbon seam across the base. A few pink sequins in the corners and voila! Easy Peasy. Hope you can play along this week!

Thinking about Lilacs you say...

Happy Friday! Did you see the newest Instant Garden Release last Sunday? This beautiful French Lilac was the show stopper this release. You want to print and color this up now I see. Check it out in the Power Poppy Store HERE

My French Lilacs are printed and colored with Copics. I then delicately cut around the blooms so that I could pop it up on dimensionals. This is a rather flat rate card (something I am working on as of late) with a simple Spellbinders decorative oval for the frame. A few jewels to the corner and a ribbon bow. Voila!

You make my heart sing

Good morning! Ever need just one of those easy peasy cards that just says hi and not a lot of fluff? Well today I have just that, using Good Thinking: Love Notes.  I stamped the hearts in red and pink along the left side and added the arrows over the top. I then added a Spellbinders die cut edge and just a few jewels around the sentiment. Really this came together in about 5 minutes. I need more like this, don't you?

Be sure to stop by tomorrow and check out the Bloom Brigade's latest blooms.  :-)  Hope you have a wonderful day!

You are so kind

Good morning! Lately I have been trying to work on cards that are not as bulky for postage.  This was one using Potted Primroses. I have them stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I added my sentiment die cut with a standard circle punch. Wrapped some lace trim and ribbon around the bard layers, but didn't add a bow so it is rather flat. A few sequins and voila.

Happy 1st Birthday Colin

Good morning! My nephew's first birthday is just around the corner and I had to create a fun filled card for him. Okay lets be honest he won't remember a thing but I know my sister will so it had to be good. These are some fun Overalls that I created. You can create your own with my Overalls Tutorial if you would like.

I will note that I did have to trim the right pant leg a little bit as it wasn't straight but I had already taken the picture before I realized it. ack! I hate that... This is an old Close To My Heart stamp set that is retired but one of my favorite for the kids. I added some stars die cuts along with buttons on the overalls. Then the birthday sentiment and the number 1. I think it turned out adorable! Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful day!

FS419 Floral notecard

  This weeks Featured Stamper 419 is Cathy aka corysnana1. Wonderful gallery to look through and while in there I found this Colorful Dahlia card to case. I kept with the large bloom, scored background and over all clean design. Changed the image, shape of the card and added pearls instead of the sentiment. Voila!

This is a digital image from Digital Two for Tuesday blog found HERE. I colored them with Copic markers and die cut them out with an oval shape. My background is scored and added to a Spellbinders layer to match. A few silver pearls and voila! Hope you can play along today!

So very happy

Happy Friday! Did you see the new challenge over on the Power Poppy Blog last week? We are changing things up a bit and the fun has begun. Check out the Power and Spark challenge by Miss Julie for the month of Feb. Hope you can play along.

This rose is part of our new Instant Garden release called La Vie En Rose. With digital images you can do quite to the image. Julie has several helpful tools and tricks with Digital Files if you are interested found HERE. For this I removed the gift tag that is attached to the rose to have just the rose image itself. Doesn't this drawing make you swoon???  Yellow roses are my absolute favorite so I colored this bloom up with some yellow Copics. Simple white layer of card stock with a kraft base. The bottom is die cut using Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One. A few scattered pearls and a gingham ribbon top. Voila!

Heart Box

Supplies:

Hearts treat box Die-light, card stock, adhesive and scissors

Step 1:

Die cut two heart shapes in desired card stock

Step 2:

Pre-fold scored lines. Turn one of the hearts over and add adhesive to the tabs shown. The other heart but off the tiny tab as you won't need it for this box

Step 3:

Adhere the heart together at the bottom tab as shown

Step 4:

Adhere the tiny tab to the inside (shown left). Slip the bottom tab inside and adhere other tab to outside. Box is complete. Decorate as desired

Step 5:

My final heart box. This one is designed to stand up as I will hang it on a hook with the ribbon at the top. The front has the darling Owl love you dearly. Added some sparkle, a sticker sentiment tag. Enjoy

Owl loves treat

Need a quick and easy treat for Valentines day? Check out my Owl Heart Box Tutorial and you can have these done in a jiffy. The owl on the front makes me smile and I am not really an "owl" type of person when it comes to stamps. He is called Owl Love you dearly, that I layered up on dimensionals with a Elegant Doily die-light background. A few scattered sparkle jewels and voila!

Oh happy day!

Good morning! We had some sun this weekend. Yea!!! Dreary rain and gray clouds were really starting to get old. Let's hope that this sunshine stays for a bit. The nice sunshine put me in a springy mood to create.

I pulled out my Countryside Bouquet and played. The flowers are stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Very simple design with a Spellbinders Decorative Labels One and an older one I forgot the name to. My sentiment punch with a circle punch and a few scattered jewels. Voila! Hope you have a sunshine filled day!  ;-)

FS418 Roses

This weeks Featured Stamper 418 is Pauline aka Lotsofstamps. What a beautiful gallery and lots of creations that I wanted to case. Finally choose this Arranging Roses card to case. I kept the same image Arranging Roses, over all layout and similar colors. I went for a darker pink and rose color. Changed the sketch and added some pearls.  Voila! Hope you can play along this week.

Sweet Pillow Box

A good ole fashion valentine treat using Cupido Henry. hee hee  This is a pillow box die that I used to create this treat holder. You can check out the Pillow Box Tutorial and create your own if you would like. Any template would be the same idea to fold this box I would think.  :-)  I have a gift card inside this one. Henry is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copics, then die cut with Spellbinders Classic circles. A little lace trim and voila! Have a wonderful day!

My creation today is using the newly release Orchids Rock! Just diggin the name of this stamp set still, makes me giggle! I created a  Lattice Window using smaller dies this time so I could stamp my Orchids on the front panel frame. Added just a few jewels to the front layer and my sentiment on the inside (seen through the window) and voila! Easy Peasy!

Shake it up, baby

The House Mouse Blog challenge this week is themed Love is in the air. I am still working on some Valentine day cards and this House Mouse was perfect for the challenge. These guys are called Read My Lips. Isn't that fun!

I haven't created a shaker card in a while so I figured I would play around with that idea. My frame is with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Five and Adorning Labels Twenty five die cut in black card stock. Added red and white sequins behind the clear acetate window and a few sparkles around the edges of the frame. My sentiment is from an old retired stamp set and it was perfect for this shaker card. Voila!!!  These guys just make me smile! Hope you have a wonderful day.

True Love

The Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge for Feb. is up and its "For the LOVE of Christmas". Nothing says love like the birth of Jesus, that is true love right there. I love almost all nativity scene stamps and this one was a gift from my sweet friend Judy! Thanks girlie! I stamped the image on white card stock and colored with Copics. A simple kraft layer behind the image panel and the dry embossed frame technique for the base. Wrapped some twine around and voila! Hope you can play along this month!

Valentine Goodie Bag

Good morning! Well the game was good, but a loss for the Hawks.  ;-(   We got this next year... right!?!  Just a quick goodie bag for you today as I am off to the school. I have a busy week and not enough time already. ha ha

This goodie bag tutorial is super easy if you want to create your own goodie bag. I used some double sided paper from Echo Park called Lucky in Love. Tied a ribbon around the center with a button twine combo to tie off my sentiment tag from Good Thinking: Love Notes. Easy peasy cookie holder. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Super Bowl, Release and a gift

Before I get to today's creation I have one thing to say.......

~~~~GO HAWKS~~~~
Woot Woot! Super bowl today!!!! Now if you recall, last year I was NOT cheering for the SeaHawks. You can read about my little slip of the tongue HERE. This year, not only am I cheering for the Hawks I would LOVE a repeat of last years game THIS YEAR! If I have any wish today it would be that Wilson beats the pants off ole pretty boy Brady! hee hee   You know my love of Brady and all. NOT....  It is all fun and games girls... No need for any smack talking. ;-)  Good luck to both teams, and for a fair calling no deflating game.  hee hee  You knew I had to put that in there! woot woot!!!!  Anyways.... back to the regular program.....
Welcome to Power Poppy's Release Day!!! All the stamp sets are available NOW at the Power Poppy Store!
 Here is my creation using Potted Primroses. This is a box with a fold over case to hold the goodies inside. The original design is by Liz Walker, she has several different versions and sizes if you look through her blog. I created my own Primroses Box for you today using the new Potted Primroses. I LOVE how this turned out! So cheerful, makes me smile.
 The tiny flower in the set is easy peasy to cut out and around. I cut between each of the petals and used my little ball to make it puff out. Then added pearls to the centers of each one. The scripture is from Glory that is stamped and layered on Spellbinders Decorative labels die. I want to make like 10 more of these boxes now! LOL  I might just have to make a few for the girls.  ;-)
Don't forget to join in the Peep Of The Week Challenge every Friday!
