Huge huge mistake

I need to vent and also explain the strange things happening on my blog..... I am so frustrated with computers and technology you wouldn't believe it! In trying to figure out a few things with this google + I have managed to delete every picture on my blog prior to half of 2011 -2008. The posts are there with content, however the creation is GONE! UGH... Not that anyone really looks at past stuff but oh my goodness...
I deleted these albums that delete stuff in picasa "cloud" and blogger of all places. Not knowing that it would delete from my blog I said sure! So now I am finding that creations are gone, poof.
DH spent sometime researching my problem to come and find out I am not the only one. However some people are a lot madder than me and what does Google and Picassa have to say is Sorry. They can't do anything. DH suggesting going back through to each post and re-adding the cards. That would take forever and not worth it. I am so mad at this point I would rather throw the computer out than deal with it. UGH... Now I see why everyone uses Facebook and not this Google + business and I didn't even want to use Google +. Oh well... such is life I guess.
So not the best way to finish out the end of the year. Hopefully technology and me will get along better in the New Year!
Thanks for listening. Going to console myself in some football today.  :0)

FS308 Say Cheese

This weeks Featured Stamper 308 is Sabrina aka cook22. Sabrina has a large gallery and lots of great creations. I choose this meece birthday card to case. I kept with a mice and camera image, kept the simplicity in design and the photo corners. I changed the stamp itself, and added the film strip to the design.
I stamped my Say Cheese House Mouse image onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. He is colored with copic markers then layered up on dimensionals. My Silhouette machine was calling me to print out the film strip for an added touch to the camera. A few pearls and two photo corners and voila! Hope you can play along with us this week! Have a great day!

Romans 8

Good Morning! Great news, I did finish the gift for the boys teacher this year as I planned. Now to start showing some of the other scripture pages I made as I took photos to post and never got to it. I was trying to finish the pages if anything. ha!  Now the boys wanted me to paint the frame not leave it natural as I had planned. So we picked lavendar and yellow for our colors. Once painted all lavendar I added some of my beautiful rolled roses stash from Pat to the edges and some leaves.

My scripture that I have on here is from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1. My designer paper is from My Minds Eye Lavendar collection. Added some beautiful lace trim and a few more of my special stash of flowers from Pat and Voila! Another beautiful scripture page for the boys teacher. Since she already recieved this before school was out I can tell you she loved it and the kids in the class were making requests to the boys for me to make one for some of the mom's. How sweet is that!!!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Take time to chill

Happy Friday! I got some stamping time in the last 2 days, so I am excited! I have a fun little winter themed creation for you today using Snow Day. I stamped the skates onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I then colored them using copic markers and cut out the image and added dimensionals to the back.
My sentiment panel is on classic white cardstock as well that I then die cut out using our Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames die that is layered onto a Color Made Easy Crocus Collection die cut of the Perfectly Pierced Classic Frame larger die in the set.

My designer paper is from the Echo Park Winter Wishes pack and I am just about out of this paper. I really love all the blues and purples shades in the pack. Added some kaiser white pearls along with some white lace trim and some Color Made Easy Crocus Ribbon. Voila! Wintry fun card today.
Some of the Flourishes girls are stamping and playing today too. Check it out:

Christmas Tags box

Good morning! How was everyone's Christmas? Hopefully it was relaxing and wonderful. We had a great time and as I get older I notice how much faster it goes! Today is all about relaxing and fun for me as no more cooking for a few days. hee hee  Onto my project today. I created several gift tags for a friend of mine and thought it would be fun to deliever them to her in a cute little box.
This box tutorial is over on Splitcoaststampers found HERE. After the box was created I added some fun designer chevron paper to the top and sides. Ran some fancy lace and some green ribbon and adhered it to the top. My image panel is using the adorable Elf Maya and Kitty along with the sentiment from the Winter Secret kit. Colored with various copic markers and then some sparkle added to finish it off. After she uses the tags she has a fun little box or another gift to give someone, so it is like a 2 for 1. ha!  Happy stamping and relaxing day!

Merry Christmas

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

From my family to yours have a Blessed Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!

FS307 Sitting by the tree

This weeks Featured Stamper 307 is Sylvia aka Fee. Delightful gallery and lots of choices on design. As the weather here is cold and slushy I thought how about a springy creation for you. I choose Sylvia's Life is good scene with the kids and warm fall colors. I changed my colors to spring, kept this a silhouette and kid image and the layout. Changed the stamp, color and addes faux stitching. Hope you can play along this week.

I stamped my image from Sweet Day of Summer using memento tuxedo black ink onto my designer paper. I then die cut using Perfectly Pierced Classic Window for my shape. My designer paper is from Teresa Collins Spring Fling along with our Color Made Easy Collections Poppy and Emerald Coast.
The ribbon is from the Color Made Easy ribbons Emerald Coast collection to match perfectly. Some faux stitching down the center panel along with a few clear rhinestones on the corners. My button is from our new button collections in Cotton Candy Pink tied off with a little bit of ivory jute for the finishing touch. Voila! Hope you have a fabulous day!

Fall Welcome

Merry Christmas Eve! I am still amazed at how fast this month has gone by! This is a gift that I made for my mother in law. She has a fall theme to her home along with lots of orange and brown tones. Hopefully this will fit right in with her decorations by the front door. I did have the kids sneak and ask her if she would hang something mom made for her. hee hee  She said yes so hopefully this will be well liked.
I first stamped out welcome using Letters in Blossom onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. My letters are colored using copic collections:

My leaves are from Falling Leaves that are stamped out the same and colored with the came copic collections. I have them all cut out individually and popped up onto dimesionals.

My paper is from the Color Made Easy Terra Cotta collection and Pistachio Collection. Added a few rhinestone flourishes along with the hints of fairy dust for sparkle. I really do like how this turned out and I hope she does as well. Enjoy your time with family and friends! Merry Christmas!

Mitten tutorial

Supplies

You need designer paper, solid card stock, ribbon, cord or twine, adhesive and embellishments

Step 1

For the shape of the mitten I simply drew around my hand on a piece of computer paper and curved the lines to look like a mitten. After traced I added the curves to look like mittens do and cut around the template. This gives you the option to make them any size you desire. You will want the back of the mitten to be sturdy card stock and the front can be more of a designer paper that is more flexible

Step 2

Next add adhesive to the outer layer of the solid card stock the base. You can do most of the thumb section as nothing will fit in that spot and it adds a bit of sturdness to the mitten.

Step 3

Adhere the mitten front out of the designer paper and press to secure the edges together. This is what it will look like with the hot cocoa inserted. This will help secure the edges as well by pressing down with hot cocoa in place

Step 4

Decorate as desired. I used Cute snowman for my image and some felt snowflakes. The edges of the mitten have some fake stitching around the edge as well. Hope you enjoy making some hot cocoa mittens

Cocoa Mitten Tutorial

Check out the Whiff Of Joy Tutorials and Inspiration Blog today as I have a tutorial on how I made this fun little hot cocoa mitten! Perfect little gift for friends, teachers, neighbors or whoever is left on your list this Christmas.
This Hot Cocoa Mitten tutorial can now be found at  SweetandClassic.com.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

A Happy Hello

A quick card today as I have family in town. This is a springy feeling card using Flourishes set Sentimental Favorites that I stamped onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Like the fun shapes? They are using our new dies, this one is Perfectly Pierced Classic Window.

My papers are from the Color Made Easy Poppy collection and a piece from the Rich Browns collection as well.
These darling little flowers are from Prima and they seemed to fit the springy feel. I added some flourished rhinestones and some white lace trim with a bit of pink satin center band ribbon to the bottom. Voila! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Christmas Goodies

Every year we make some goodies for our friends at Christmas. Well I say "we" loosely as I do all the baking. ha! However the kids and DH love the leftovers after all the gifts are packed up. I always make chex party mix, rice krispie treats and then a new recipe for the third goodie. This year I packaged up the goodies in these clear window bags. Used some dp for the top and bottom panels. My sentiment panel is using Flourishes new die Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass. Before I took the die off the classic white cardstock that my die is cut from I sponged some caramel ink to shade the background a bit then I stamped my sentiment from Christmas Classics that is stamped using memento tuxedo black ink.
The poinsettia is from Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die as is the leaf. I have them all popped up on dimensionals with fairy dust added for sparkle. Tied my red wrinkled ribbon around the top with two bells from the local craft store and voila! Wonderful little goodie gift that I might add they all loved and ate instantly. hee hee  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Masculine gift tag

Good Morning! Today started early and I am already exhausted, it's only about 10 right now. EEK! My Whiff Of Joy winner is listed below this post if you are looking for that!
Well I worked on some more gift tags for a friend of mine and several masculine ones were needed. This is what I came up with, what do you think? I like how it turned out and not too frilly other than a little ribbon. The Timeless Tuesday Challenge today is the 200th challenge, whohoo!  The challenge is Dec the Tree Trimmings. My tag doesn't fit the occasion as it does not go on the tree, but it does go on a gift. Check out the FLLC Blog and play along if you have time.

I stamped out my images from Naturally Merry onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I colored my images using copic collections:

Once colored and cut out (yes we have SVG file and Silhouette cut files for this set) I forgot as I was already cutting! Anyways added some dimensionals to the back and set them aside. Grabbed some of the beautiful Color Made Easy Pistachio collection paper and die cut out the fun Perfectly Pierced Classic Window for the shape.

Then matted it down onto some Color Made Easy Rich Browns paper for the last layer. Tied off my ribbons from both the Color Made Easy Ribbon Collection Pistacchio and Rich Browns with a button and some ivory jute. Those fancy brad looking items are called Candi in Metallique Steel and I really am loving these on projects. Voila a masculine gift tag. I hope today is great for all of you and happy stamping if you ahve time!
