Charcoal Merry

Happy Friday! Just a few more days until Christmas. Are you done with all your shopping? I was done a few weeks ago thankfully. The boys are out of school for two weeks so we plan to play and have fun. Yea!

One of my favorite cards that I created recently and the new release items Power Poppy has. This is called Winter Flora and one of the man options in the digi. The idea was this charcoal look and feel with a splash of color. I think it turned out perfect for what I had in mind. I used Copic gray hues for the image and behind the letters. Some red and yellow hues for the flowers and the Merry. Some added sparkle and voila!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Goodie bag of good cheer

Morning. A few weeks ago I made a few of these little treat 6x6 goodie bags using a tutorial found HERE. They are super quick and easy to make for a little something. I put the Hershey nuggets inside of these and a few have little lotion bottles in them.

The tag on the front is from the Handmade With Love Tags and it is a perfect fit for the front. I choose the one that matched the paper best that I used. I won't show you all of them but I did make about 20 of these they are that easy. Just a little something without having to go over board for a few people. Thanks for stopping by.

Large colorful Flora

Good morning. Winter Flora has several different versions in the digital image and I left this one without the sentiment so I could use another. This sentiment is from Glistening Paperwhites stamp set and its a perfect fit for the center.

Yes this does have a lot of colors and I like the cheerful feeling it gives you. Only wrapped some silver cord around the left edge with a few scattered jewels. Then some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Penciled Serenity

Good morning. Season of Serenity was another new digital image that we came out with. Printed on kraft card stock and then colored with a variety of Prisma colored pencils. Still needing to work on the colored pencil technique but I do think I get better with each try. Needed to blend more I think? Anyways.

Easy design with only some cord wrapped around the base tied off with a button. Sparkle added to parts of the green sprigs and a few enamel dots. Voila!

Peaceful single flora

If you missed our Digital Blitz you sure missed a lot of fun. This is one of the new images that came out called Winter Flora and it is the smaller in the new digi. My designer paper was the color choice for this as it was soft and light feeling. I was not going to attempt the watercolor feel the designer paper had since I am not very good at that.

Wrapped some lace trim and ribbon around the middle before the image panel was added. A few sequins and lots of sparkle to finish it off. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Pink Poinsettia XL

Good morning! Make sure you check and see if you were the winner of the Power Poppy gifts that we had last week. Marcy posted all the winners in one post HERE. Congrats to all the winners, enjoy shopping!
Yes I was playing around with Poinsettia XL and OH MY! My first instinct was to use blue hues but I resisted and went with pink. You know a blue one is going to come out sooner or later anyways. hee hee  Oh I do just swoon over this large flower. I have lots and lots of poinsettias image and each one is so different. You can never have too many.  :-)  Moving on....

A very simple design but I like how it turned out. After I colored the Poinsettia XL with a variety of Copic markers I die cut with a stitched die. I then grabbed a piece of designer paper that brought out the soft pinkish yellow colors for a little layer behind the image panel.
Wrapped silver cord around the two pieces and tied a bow. Splattered some white spots, which I should of done more of and a few jewels. Adhered to the base with the matching stitching and Voila!

Winter Serenity final day

Welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop final day. We sure have had fun and hope you enjoyed our little big Christmas re-mix hop. I know it was fun for me and enjoyed seeing everyone's creations.

How about that Season of Serenity from day 2? Or the new Clear Stamp Serene Seasons. Such a variety of creations and versions from everyone. Not to mention I am sure you had a few thoughts of your own when you saw the digi. Coloring this was such a joy, and you will surely like the clear version set.
First I decided that the base was going to be white snowflakes behind the image. Then I die cut a decorative frame and used my Copic marker to color the edges around against the white base.

Various Copics to color the image of course and some sparkle was going on all that snow. Added dimensionals behind the image layer since I cut out the center. Layered it all onto the base and my sentiment with fish tail ends. And sequins to finish it off. Voila!

Only one more day of our blog hop. Sure hope you are enjoying all the eye candy and the fun creations everyone is sharing. Today Marcy has a new clear, yes I said clear stamp for you.  She just keeps on giving doesn't she.  This is called Serene Scenes, and oh my is it awesome! See the post on the Power Poppy Blog for the full set and sentiments. Don't forget about today's sale 25% OFF STOREWIDE -- use code THINKSMALL

My gift tags are a little behind this year as I am usually done, not the case. Here is a tag that has to be my favorite I made so far using Through the Woods stamp set. Oh this bow again in the gold and yellow is just awesome! I stamped this out and colored with various Copic markers and then cut around the image.
I knew that I was going to use more of the shimmery gold paper and thought why not emboss some swiss dots for the base. A fancy die cut in the burgundy paper and added all the layers. More suduko gel pen to the ribbon image and some gold sequins and voila!

Glitter House Village

Happy Thanksgiving and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 9. We have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd. Another new digi, Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and did I mention a SURPRISE?

Appropriate to have a little grouping of houses today with Glitter House Village as most of us are celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends today. I don't have the snow or Christmas decorations up like this village but I do have the warm feeling this card does. Took a break from the gold shimmer paper for this one and had more of the green and red colors.

No need to worry if you don't have the stamp set. The digi version Glittery Village is available. My base has some textures with a snowflake embossing folder. A little scallop edge to the scrap of designer paper added to the base. Lot of sparkle added to the village and a few buttons to finish it off. Voila! Check back in tomorrow for a sale! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

Gift tag or gift holder

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 8. We have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd.  Have you been hopping this whole time or just joining us?  You might find a new digi, Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and a SURPRISE or two?

Tag your it! Oh today is fun with tags using a few versions of Wreath: Felt and Fruits, Boxwood and Cranberry Along with the new digi Handmade with Love Tag. Quick and easy tags is always a need if time doesn't permit for more detailed ones.

That is what these are quick and easy. My base for each one is some die cuts so I really only had to color and add some ribbon and twine.

The new Handmade With Love Tags are super quick and totally cute on their own. I ADORE all of them. Here are a few of them that I used for some quick giftcard holders I needed.
The measurements for the giftcard holder is super easy. Cut a piece of cardstock 3 3/4 in width x 7 inches length. Score along the length at 1/2 inch, 4 1/2 inch, another score at 1/8 inch. Add a decorative edge to the one edge and glue the ends on the 1/2 inch mark to hold the card. See easy peasy.

The inside is kept simple but you can add more to the top flap if you wanted. I kept it blank with just some of the matching designer paper to the inside lower flap. These were very very quick and easy to make and it was just what I needed. Lots of sparkle on these as well with just a few embellishments. Voila! See you back here tomorrow.

Berry Sweet Holiday wishes

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 7. We have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd.  In those days you might find a new Digi, Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and did I mention a SURPRISE?

Berry Sweet Holiday wishes for you today. This has to be one of my favorites I created for the hop. Yes I have said that on a few but I do like this one a lot. The gold ribbon is what I think does it for me as I usually color it red or blue and this gold is warm and elegant feeling.

Another piece of designer paper from the same pack with gold shimmer base layer. Die cut a few circles for the layers. Colored the image with various Copic markers and cut around to pop up on the circle.

More faux stitching around the base with the suduko gel pen instead of regular ink. Added some to the ribbon and sparkle to the berries. Sequins to tie it all together. Voila! If you don't have the stamp no need to worry, the Merriest Berries digi has this and another for you to print and color.

Tweet Tidings for Poinsettia XL

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 6. W e have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd.  In those days you might find a new digi, Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and did I mention a SURPRISE?

This is Tweet Tidings and Poinsettia XL we are revealing today. My new creation will come later because I could not resist these little birds. However, how about I share a little snippet??  :-)

Are these little birdies not the cutest fat little birds ever. No need to worry if you don't have the stamp set Tweet Tidings, the digi version is called Chickadee in Barberry. This paper pack has such a variety of designs for Christmas that I have used. I think I forgot to mention the paper pack it is called Poppies and Pines from The Paper Studio and I like everything in the pack.

Another gold shimmer for the base layer under the designer paper with some faux stitching around the edge. Added sparkle to the snow which I should of left off. It made the snow look dirty for some reason??? Ggrrr... What can you do now. Added a few buttons to the sentiment tag and Voila!

Grandma's Favorite variety

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 5. We have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd. You might find new digi's, a Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and did I mention a SURPRISE?

A variety of favorites will be shared today across the blogs. One that I like a lot but have used little is the Grandma's Snowflakes which is just darling. Not to mention it has a matching die set that goes with the set. I will show you the die and the stamp with my card.

How about this gold shimmery paper? I had die cut the snowflake shape using a smaller piece and was going to leave just the snowflake negative. Then I thought why not stamp and cut around the matching snowflake and pop it up. I like how that turned out. The base layers has a snowflake texture added with the sentiment below. Tied some ribbon and gold cord around the bow with a few pearls. Yep you guessed it, suduko gel pen added to the snowflake as well. Voila!  See you back here tomorrow.

Spice it up with Winter Flora

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 4.  We have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd.  In those days you will find some new digis, Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and did I mention a SURPRISE?

Today's activities are using Spice it Up and the new Winter Flora. Oh you HAVE to check out this new digi. My creation using that will wait since I played with Spice it Up for.  But I am willing to share a little tease with you. :-)

This little orange, can you smell it through the screen with the spice scent? I can but its only because I have a Scensy going that smells like it. ha ha  Anyways... Using up more of the gold shimmery paper, I told you that I was going to use all of it I could this year.

Stamped the orange and colored with various Copic markers, then cut around to pop up on the base. More swiss dots and some gold cord and a few gold sequins. The ribbon on the image does have suduko gel pen added to it as well.  Voila! See you back here tomorrow.

O Holy night

Good morning and welcome to Power Poppy's Christmas Re-Mix blog hop Day 3. We have a blog hop that is going from Nov 20th thru Dec 2nd. GASP!!! In those days you might find a Black Friday Sale, Cyber Monday sale and even a small business sale, and did I mention a SURPRISE? So let's get to today's activities.

My card today is using O Holy Night and if you don't have this stamp set, check out the digi Snowy Church. This has such a wintry feel with the snow capped trees and the snow built up around the edge of the church.

Very little coloring on this as I wanted the moon light background to be the main color to help bring out the light inside the church. More of the gold shimmery paper for the base designer paper frame.

This is a close up at an angle to see the suduko gel pen on the window light also. Added the punched green sprigs with a punched poinsettia to the left corner. Finished off with the sentiment and some pearls. Voila! See you back here tomorrow.
