Mitten treat

Happy Friday! Hope you are ready for Christmas. I am ready for the fun and games and just hanging out with the family. I promised another quick easy gift and here it is. The quick cookie bags make for some great teacher gifts or neighbor ideas. Here is the whole bag with the mitten wrap I added to it.

My close up of the mitten using ODBD Holly Jolly designer paper die cut with Plush Mitten Die. Then some silver cord threaded into the border. Some felt snowflakes from my stash of long ago and a sparkler for the center. The sentiment is stamped from Wreaths Plain and Fancy stamp set.

Wrapped the belly band around the center so that they can slide off the mitten with ease when they go to bake the cookies. Quick and easy. Voila!

I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Christmas with family and friends. God Bless!

Chocolate treat

Good morning. Just wrapping up a few last minute gifts for a few people. This is a super easy peasy little decoration to these chocolate covered almonds. Yummy!  Want some more ideas on quick sweet treats? Head on over to the PP Blog for Christine's Sweet Treats Power and Spark challenge this month.

My little tag is using Wreaths Boxwood and Cranberry that is colored with various Copic colors. I then popped it up on dimensionals to the back panel. The textured background is using a holly embossing folder with some added sparkle. Added designer scrap paper to the bottom front, then wrapped ribbon around the base to hold together. A few enamel dots and some sparkles to finish it all off. Voila! Took me about 10 minutes not including the coloring of course. Easy Peasy. Check back as I have one more quick sweet treat for those last minute ideas. Have a wonderful day.

Goodie boxes

Happy Friday! I don't know about you but two snow days in the same weeks makes for some great time hanging out sledding, movies and hot chocolate. YUM!!!  Wednesday night we had a bunch of snow dumped on us and even work was cancelled. GASP!  What fun we had sledding... Back to school today for everyone though. Now I can get all my goodies baked and put into these boxes. The Power and Spark challenge this month is Sweet Treats. Perfect time for me to get these boxes done for our friends. Hope you can play along. You can check it out HERE on the PP Blog.

All three boxes are very similar in design using Spice It Up for the sentiment. The tiny sprigs of holly are from Heaven and Nature Sing stamp set. These are super easy boxes to make using the Cookie Box tutorial. I die cut the sentiment panel using Matted circles die layered onto a Elegant Oval die cut. This first box has Peaceful Poinsettia's die cut and layered on the corners with some green sprigs and brown flourished die cuts. The designer paper is from the Holly Jolly paper pack. Sparkle added to the flourishes on the paper and all around. Finished it off with some sequins.

This one has paper from the same pack with poinsettias in the corners as well. Instead of sequins a few random jewels but similiar in design.

My final box I used some Hollyberries I had left over from a print or two ago and colored them up. Then I cut around them again to pop them up on the box front. I have the same paper pack on this one and more sequins and sparkles. Voila! I bake up some goodies each year and this year they will have a pretty box to hold them. The goodies never last long but they sure will enjoy the box after I hope.  :-)

Birch Framed picture

Good morning. Did you see the Wreath digi collection we released a few weeks ago? They are all fantastic and such a variety to them. I decided the Wreath Birch and Evergreen needed to be enlarged and a house put in the center for my sister. They love the out doors and this was perfect card for them this year. Here is a top view of the card so you can see that the frame panel is popped up on dimensionals.

This is the card and the matching tag to go with the gift. These poinsettia's that I die cut are a great accent piece with a few sprigs of greenry underneath. This is the Peaceful Poinsettia Die used.

And then the tag with the matching accents. Voila! Easy Peasy right...

Millennials in the workplace

Do you remember the Golden Circle video from Simon Sinek I shared awhile back? He has several good videos but this one is very interesting. We had the boys watch it and talked with them about some things. Its really good if you have a few minutes and I thought I would share. Have a great day!

Comet and friend

Rudolph gets all the attention so this is Comet today. hee hee  I adore this Whipper Snapper stamp called Snowman Harmony. I was in my chocolate and cream color mood when I created this. I have them stamped on white cardstock and colored with Various Copic markers.

The paper is from the Kaiser Kraft Frosted pack and the snowflake scallop is a punched piece from the back. Wrapped some brown ribbon around the top of the snowflake edge and tied a twine and button combo. Added some enamel dots and stickles to finish it off. The sentiment is from the back of the pack also but I am not sure I am too hip on it with the card. However its already glued down so no changing it now. ha ha! The December Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge this month is Animal Love. I would say this fits perfectly. hee hee  Thanks for stopping in today. Have a wonderful day!

Basket of goodies

Christmas is getting that much closer, how are you on those cards? I only have a few left to make and then I will be onto next years. Yea!  Grabbed my Simple Joys stamp set once again and stamped out this basket of greenry. Oh it just makes me swoon!

Colored the basket of greenry with various Copic markers. Die cut a stitched rectangle for the image and then the base layer. This is a Z-Fold card with some designer paper added to the base. The inside you can see I lightly stamped the holly in the corner and added some matching flourished jewels to the edge. voila!

Don't forget out Sweet Treats challenge is still running and you won't want to miss all the additions.

Stuffed Stocking

Morning, how about a little country tag for you today? This tag is using the stocking from Fully Stocked that is colored with various Copic markers then delicately cut around. I wanted to pop this up on dimensionals above the wreath. This wreath die cut is retired from Whiff Of Joy.

The designer paper is die cut in a layered die wrapped with ribbon and gold cord around the top to hold the bells on. Added some pearls to the wreath and my sentiment tag. Below I tried to get a close up of the Suduko gel pen that I added for sparkle on the stocking. It looks really cool in person, hard to photo.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day.

Peaceful tag

Good morning!  How are those cards and cards and tags coming along? Still have a few more to get to myself then I will be starting on next years. Aaaahhh... don't you love it!  ;-)

A few weeks back I created a Christmas card using this Bittersweet Wreath. Well how about a tag to go with that card today. This die cut that the wreath is on is retired but it fit perfectly for the size of this printed wreath. Colored with different shades of blue and aqua in the Copic markers. Layered onto some Stitched Mats rectangles die cut in white and blue. Oval die cut the sentiment from Glistening Paperwhites. Wrapped some ribbon around the top with a button. Some silver cord to tie it all together and topped off with sparkle. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Extra Kisses on the 5th

Good morning. Did you have a good weekend? We sure had a busy one but what is knew. I guess our Christmas tree would be new. Squeel!!! Yep we picked out our tree and have it standing in all its 10 foot glory in the living room decorated to the max. Smells awesome, looks beautiful and the final touch to the Christmas decor. Aaaaahhhhh... I do love the month of December.  :-) But you didn't come by to hear about that... how about our Digi's on the 5th release from Power Poppy? This one is darling called Stand Here. How fun is that!

Marcy has some thoughts behind this darling sentiment and sprig of goodness over on the Power Poppy Blog. Be sure to check it out.

My intention when I saw this was to make a fun hanger sign to go above the front door however time did not allow for that. I will make sure to get that idea done and posted later for you. In the meantime a card will work just fine.  ;-)  I even got to use my new designer paper from ODBD called Holly Jolly. One of the sentiments is printed just below the sprig of mistletoe and then the same size is printed so that I could layer after I colored it. I cut around most of it all expect the parts that had to have the dimensionals to secure on the image panel. Added some piercing around the edges and then sequins and sparkle. Voila!

Candycane Gift

Happy Friday and welcome to the December Power and Spark challenge this month. Christine is our host with a fun Sweet Treats challenge. You know I am all over this challenge. Perfect time to get those little gift sets done or even something for yourself. hee hee Be sure to link your creations back over on the PP Blog so we can see your treats.

Played with the newest digi called Candy Cane Classic. I really like these three candy canes together and the fact you can resize it is even better. I have a larger one for the card and a smaller one for my box of goodies. My box is using the Mini File Box tutorial which was a perfect fit for these chocolate spoons. Yummy! Added some sparkle to the candy canes on both and some sequins. This designer paper is years and I mean years old, so why not use it today. HA!!  Easy peasy and so fun. Hopefully I can get my next sweet treat finished before I have to give it out. EEK!!! Nothing like cutting it short right. ha ha

Decembers Shepherd Boy

Good Morning.  Gasp!!! It is December 1st, what are you are thinking? I haven't gotten any cards done yet... what am I going to do OR, I have plenty and I am starting on next years cards? woot woot!! Whatever you are thinking, its all good because today is the start of the December Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge. You can start on this years cards or prepare for next year. We are happy to have you play along. December is going to be Animal Love. Share those lovable creatures with a festive Christmas card. All shapes and sizes are welcome for these animals.

This is one of my favorite from WOJ stamps before they closed. This is called Henry Riding on a Sheep. He just looks happy as all get out and the sheep's smile is adorable. He is stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Die cut an oval shape and layered onto a decorative shape. Added some faux stitching around the designer paper and wrapped a ribbon around with a bow tied off with silver cord. A few die cut snowflakes and sparkles to finish it off. Voila! Hope you can play along this month.

Thinking fall is over

I am thinking fall is over and the last of my fall themed cards for the year. Figured I would send it off with this stamp called Autumn Tree. A simple and clean design for you using this tree. I colored the tree with various Copic markers, then I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle.

Layered onto some designer paper and then some rust cardstock. My sentiment is stamped onto a matching rust die cut circle with a heart brad center for the corner. This is some more of that CTMH hardware that I am trying to use up. Voila.... goodbye fall... and welcome Winter and Christmas cards. YEA!!!!  :-)  See you back here tomorrow for the kick off of the Dirty Dozen December Christmas Challenge. Have a great day!

Red, white and paperwhites

Good morning! How about a red and white classic feel for you today using Glistening Paperwhites? This started as a single layer or none bulky card when I dry embossed the frame around the blooms. However with the button and silver cord and jewels it is now a non bulky card mailer. This will have to be  hand delivered.  :-)

This is also for the Dirty Dozen November Christmas challenge. I have finalized the majority of next years challenges. We are going to shake things up a little bit.  Be on the look out and hope you can play along with us this month. Have a wonderful day!

Power Poppy Black Friday Sale, new Digi and a Surprise....

Good morning all! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Today we get to have those yummy left over turkey sandwiches. YEA!!!!  Before I show off ONE of the new digi's at Power Poppy. Let me show you the graphic that has a little bit about the Black Friday Sale. Be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for more details.

Not only do you get a deal with the 30% off, you can also check out the newest Digi's. Oh yea!!! What a collection and SO MANY options!!! My first use was the Wreaths Felt leaves and Fruit set of a card and matching gift tag.
This Wreath Felt leaves and fruit is a perfect pairing to the stamp set Bough Wow Wow. They both have the same matching colors and papers obviously to make it a set. I really like these little felt balls they are fun to color. Added some flourished rhinestones to the tag and sparkles to them both.

No card and tag set is complete unless I have done them in a blue, white and silver combo. So... here is another version in those colors.  :-)  Same stamps and digi just different colors and papers. Wait until you see what I am working on using the Birch and Evergreens digi, oh yea!

Some wonderful creations from the other girls so be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for links to everyone's creations. Happy Shopping!!!

I will play my drum for him

This little drummer boy is just so darn sweet. I created this with the Dirty Dozen November challenge in mind with the music background and of course this sweet little drummer playing for Jesus.

My stamp is called Little Drummer boy which is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. Then I die cut him using Lil Inkers stitched rectangles and the chocolate layer. Before I adhered the drummer panel I die cut some Fancy Foliage in the matching blue cardstock to the chocolate panel. The designer paper is from the Christmas Collection 2014 layered onto chocolate and a faux stitching around the base. The little buckle like die cut is from Matting Circles which I threaded my ribbon through and added some sparkle to all the dies. Finished it off with some random jewels and more sparkle. Voila!

Grateful pooch

Good morning. Hopefully you had a great weekend. The boys and I went with some friends to all the local Christmas bizarre's and got a few gifts. The fact the boys like to go each year is great. They have an appreciation of handmade things and the work that goes into them. Being that I stamp and create gifts might have something to do with that appreciation. :-) They really like to find the unique and cool sports stuff for either college of the NFL teams. Some of the things that they have bought over the years is so cool. I think my favorite one so far has been the clock they bought John made out of an old record shaped like the WSU Cougar logo that he has in his office. It is so cool. Anyways a great weekend and this week will be even more fun with Thanksgiving coming. Yea!!!

Enjoyed coloring this little guy up called Harry the dog. After he was colored I die cut his panel with an oval shape. The base layer is a new embossing folder to me as my sweet friend Leslie tempted me with her card HERE. This embossing folder is adorable and called Paw Prints. Once I saw Leslie's card I just had to add it to my collection. She is quite the enabler.  ;-)  Die cut a stitched frame for the oval to nestle between and then added my sentiment onto some vellum. Finished it off with a dog paw brad and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Give thanks

Happy Friday! I think this is going to be close to the last of my fall cards. Honestly I think this is the most I have made for fall in a long time. This card didn't quite turn out how I had it pictured in my head, yet I do like the end result.  I need to work on more Christmas cards and tags for the year.  :-)

This is from Olive and Oak Expanded stamp set. Colored with various Copic markers and simple rounded corners at the end. Wrapped some ribbon and a button combo around the top and a metal swirly from the bottom to finish it off. Voila!
Don't forget about our Power and Spark challenge this month and linking your creations.

Close Knit Friendship

Morning! How about a card that is non holiday related today? My card is using a retired set from Whiff Of Joy called Close Knit Maya. They are no longer in business, yet you might find this on Ebay used? It is so cute.  This was made for a special person in mind and I hope she likes it.

Maya is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. A simple stitched die cut for the frame with a picket fence across the bottom. My designer paper is from Soulful Stitches paper pack. This is the sentiment in the stamp set and a tag cut for the edge with a brad center. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Crisp Sunflowers

Good morning. Hopefully you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was rather restful and a good thing as we start Basketball season this week. Yep off to the races with the next sport.  :-)  Stamping time was available this weekend so I took advantage and have some creations for you this week.

The Sunflower Bouquet has two beautiful image in the set and this one had yet to be inked up. A very crisp and clean feeling card so you can focus on these blooms. They are colored with various Copic markers. My sentiment is from So Grateful stamp set. Only a few random brads and some sparkle for embellishments today. Voila! Have a wonderful day.
