Jenni's Swing Set

This title just makes me giggle. Daytwo of Flourishes April Releases brings you Swing Set. This set is just darling. I used some new Jenni Bowlin papers hence the title of this post. hee hee I also used some of our new European watercolor paper, and its FABO! Oh you have to give it a try.
These are two 4x4 size cards. Very simple but sweet. I added some pearls to the waist and toes of the girl on the swing. She can still swing and be stylish I think. :0)

Get Well Violet

Whohoo! Day one of Flourishes April sets! Are you excited? I always get excited to see everyones reactions to the new sets. This one is fabulous, its called Sweet Violets. My mom loves violets so I have made a great little gift set that you will be seeing later on. For now I made this get well card. Very simple, I think the image speaks for itself. Added a fancy brad and done!

Going in circles for Mothers day

Busy week this week! I think I have a post almost everyday, which is NOT normal for me. LOL First lets start with this card. This is one of my favorite Stampin Up sets called Seaside Sketches. I will never part with this set ever. I watercolored the image for the softness. I cased and older card of mine but I tired circles instead for the fun of it. I like how this turned out. Still working on last minute Mother's Day cards for friends. I am almost done. :0) I know Heather is reading this and yes you will have this one. LOL
Tomorrow starts sneak peeks for the new releases for April from Flourishes. We did a mini sneak of a new set called Gigi and Chloe last week. They are so darn fun!

Happy Monday! I know you are wondering where is my House Mouse challenge card. Well... I don't have one today. Gasp... Its the first one I have missed, and I appologize. Its been a crazy week with the boys on spring break etc.
I do have a card for you though. This is a new set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Woodland critters. Its super cute and its available now. I added some eyelashes to her and some sparkle. I think she looks so cute in pink. hee hee

Fabulous news and Cards for the Troops

Yes this is me... :0) So why am I taking a picture of me surrounded by cards? Well Julie and I got to talking one day via email about my cards. I mentioned that I send most of mine to the troops to send home to their families and friends. Julie was very interested in how many I have sent, and how it all started. She was so interested that she has a write up on Flourishes newsletter.
So a little background for you. I have sent 861 as of a year ago when I started to keep track of how many I send to the troops. We have a close friend from Highschool that on his first tour we sent him cards and goodies all the time. When he came home, we had a few other friends that were over seas. The friend I send them to now actually is moved around a lot, he is a private contractor for the Army and he moves through a lot of the unique areas. So he gets to distribute a lot more cards to remote areas.
They are always so grateful. It always encourages and lifts their spirits to get cards. I now have a new brother in law that is on his second tour that just shipped out a week ago. So he will be getting a lot of cards for his unit as well.
I hope after reading this you feel the little tug in your heart to help our troops too. Splitcoaststampers does cards for the troops, check out the SCS link and see how you can started in sending some love to our troops and their families also.
Now for the big news!!!! I am now on the Senior Design team for Flourishes! WHOHOO!!!! I have had to keep from bursting this out loud on every post! Oh I am so excited to finally share... WHOHOOO!!! Today's Flourishes Friday Focus is brought to you by Faith. She has a tutorial on the newsletter for paper piecing! I like to paper piece for various reasons. For some fancy colors from a paper, great tie in with your card and image or sometimes just plain too lazy to color the image. lol Hey atleast its honest right...
Anyways, I like this dp with the pinks, browns and greens. So why not paper piece Gigi's dress. This is a new set that Flourishes released on Wednesday, its called Gigi and Chloe. I just think its the cutest set!

Meet Gigi girls...

Isn't she just the cutest thing... Sophie wants to introduce to you a new set from Flourishes called Gigi and Chloe. You can see a picture of the full set, read what Sophie has to say about this fun set and have a chance to win this new set over on the newsletter. Its just perfect for those tween/pre-teen girls in your life. Such personality, sassy and 100% cuteness to them, I have had a bball with this set.
I needed a tween birthday card for a friend so I used Gigi from the set. I think she is going to love this. I added sparkle to her dress bottom and her headband.


This set is available now at the Flourishes store. Flourishes also has their new Spellbinders in stock. And oh my oh my...Is my list long of what I need. haha
