Fathers Day bricks

Only 1 more day of school then SUMMER... WHOHOO!!! I need to announce the winner of my exciting publication post. The winner is.... bensarmom who said "bensarmom said... Stacy, how exciting for you! I know by the quality of work I see in your cards, it's no wonder a magazine wanted to publish your cards! So happy for you! Will you sign the magazine before sending it now that you're published? LOL " Congrats! I will be in contact for your snail mail address to mail your copy of new CardMaker Magazine! Thanks for all the congrats from everyone!
Now for my fathers day card today. This brick designer paper was calling my name but I couldn't figure out what to put with it. However a sentiment is always a great choice so I grabbed my Man Of The Hour set from Waltzingmouse Stamps and created today. Black matting is always so cool I think with cards, it makes a statement of look at me. Simply added a few black brads and voila! Be sure to check in with me tomorrow as Flourishes Pre-Challenge for the June release is tomorrow. Have a great day.

WOJ #156 Dream sketch

Happy Wednesday! Only 2 more days of school then summer break... WHOHOO!!!! We are ALL excited for summer break. Might be a bit excited the next few days  now you know why. ha ha  Today is the new challenge over on the Whiff Of Joy Blog #156 and its a sketch challenge.

Now I design more with simpl layers and design so this sketch was like ACK! However I think I did okay, right? This darling little guy makes me smile he is called Boy and His Star. I stamped him onto classic white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colored him with various copic markers.

My scallop bottom for the sketch was created using circle punch outs. Turned out great I think. My stars are from the same Die-Light used for the corner accent called Stars Festoon. I simply cut them off the long vine and added brads to the center. My designer paper is from My Minds Eye Boy Crazy paper pack. I hope you get a chance to play along with us this challenge. Have a great day.

I stamped the image onto classic white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with copic markers. Added a brad to the top of the bow center and placed the panel up on dimensionals. Added my sentiment and voila. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Have a great day.

FS330 Birthday Pocket

Good morning! Today our Featured Stamper 330 is Ellie aka Ellibelle who has the most delightful and sweet gallery. I didn't get far in before I found the most adorable birthday card to case. Kept an animal, the pocket theme and over all design. Changed the stamps and colors. Congrats Ellie and enjoy your week.
What a fun fold, these pocket cards and I never seem to make them enough. Well don't you worry I have several coming your way this month. hee hee   This darling guy is from Whiff Of Joy's Secret Summer kit 2013 that I got in the mail last week. YIPPEE!! All the stamps in the set are totally fun and perfect for any celebration. I stamped this guy onto classic white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colored with various copic markers. Layered him onto some brillant blue cardstock and added some sparkles to the balloon and banner.
My sentiment panel is using Die-Light Messages that I tied off with a bit of ribbon and twine. The criss cross part of my pocket is using Die-Light Dancing Hearts Border in some red cardstock. My fun designer paper is from My Minds Eye Boy Crazy paper pack, that to be honest I am about out of. ha!
This is the sentiment sleeve taken out. Super cute all around I would say. Hope you have a great day!

Oh such a cute guy card, love this little puppy. This is from Gone Fishin.
Gave this to my husband, LOVE this scripture using stamp set Timeless Classic.
CAS you just gotta love that. This butterfly took a long time to color. haha  From stamp set New Creature.

Hope you enjoyed my favorite from the past, now for some new fun ones this coming month. Hope to see you at the sneak peeks and through the month. Have a great day!

June Christmas Challenge

Happy first of the month and you know what that means? Time for the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge over on Splitcoaststampers. This months challenge is all about the Lyrics to the song "Grandma got ran over by a reindeer". Have you ever really listened to the words of this song? I never really had and oh my goodness!  Very interesting Christmas song if you ask me. LOL   Be sure to link your creations and check out the thread over on SCS for the challenge details. If you are not a Fan Club Member now is the time to join so you can play along.  ;0)
I went a little crazy with the layers and the design on this one, but hey grandma has been drinking egg nog after all. ha ha   I stamped Christmas Deer onto classic white cardstock and colored with various copic markers.

Then die cut the Spellbinders classic oval for the shape, that is then layered on the Decorative Oval die. My paper is from an old Christmas pack that I don't even have the name of but I think its Memory Box. Some faux stitching around the layers. Added a sheer brown ribbon bow and a snowflake to the sentiment with a pearl center. Easy Peasy! Hope you can play along today.
