Blind Leading the Blind

This week House Mouse and Friends are going to have some fun. Our challenge this week is brought to us by Sue C. Our challenge is create a card with humour. Our sponsors is Simon Says Stamp with a prizes of $(25) gift card to Simon Says Stamp shop. Be sure to link your creation up over on the House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge.
Now I don't know about you but this is the blind leading the blind if I ever saw it. ha! have you heard faith is blind? You walk by faith without seeing where the road leads you and that is the toughest thing to do as we are a culture that wants instant proof of things. Service yesterday was talking about second chances and your faith being put out there without any proof in sight. Sometimes knowing someone is praying for you and walking along side you is helpful in that walk of faith as you are not alone.
This House Mouse is called Walking in the Rain. I had the orange papers and colors out from yesterday so I went with it for my colors. Normally I am not an orange kind of girl yet this turned out pretty cute I think. Don't forget to load your creations over on the Hand Stamped By Me page on the official House Mouse Stamps Site. They would love to have your creations in their gallery. Have a wonderful day!

Mr. and Mrs. West back home

Finally Mrs. Kelly and I are back home from our travels. All this touring around looking for new cattle runs, machines and workers sure does take a lot out of you. Mrs. Kelly is settling back into her daily duties and I am getting myself ready. Yes sir I am applying for the new season of Top Shot. To submit your application you need to make your own Top Shot Target along with your letter of why you will be the next Top Shot. Mrs. Kelly helped me along with the decor, she thought this would bring in more of the ladies to the show. I am thinking to myself its a gun show for cryin out loud, what lady wouldn't want to watch. Anyhow this is our submission for Top Shot. Keep your fingers crossed we get picked. In the mean time I better get to the ranch and the new workers settled and trained just incase I am selected. Till next time.... Bwahahah...

Okay if you watch the show Top Shot as me and Pat do you will totally get this elimination target otherwise you will be totally lost on it. Haven't played with Da Man aka Wild Wild West lately and made this special for Pat. Look for this in the mail soon girlie... I used some of my beautiful Pat Blooms for this special card. The season is ended and with sweetness as Chris the IT guy won. Keyboards all over the world were clicking with excitement I tell you. Till next season Pat...
**I need to clarify that I am not personally applying for the show Top Shot** This is all a fictonal story for the Wild Wild West Stamp set. You can start at the beginning if you would like HERE. Hope you all have a great day!

Home Sweet Home and a winner

Welcome to Flourishes Pre-Release challenge for May. Before I get into the details of the challenge I have a winner from my blog candy last week. My break was good, however the main reason for the break was we were in Washington DC for the week. My DH recieved a very honored award that flew us to DC for the ceremony. A very big deal as it was a black tie ceremony and all. We brought the kids with us and added a few days to the trip and played tourists for the week. It was FABULOUS! What a week! I will show you some pictures after we get all settled again and I finish laundry. HA! So be on the look out for those pictures soon. Now for the winner... Randomly drawn from the jar by DS is.....
Pendra who said " I just came across your site from someone at the Cutting Cafe, very nice site! I also just started with OWH and WOW, over 1200 cards you have made and sent, that is sooooo wonderful! Thanks for supporting our troops! And thanks for the chance to win this very generous candy! I am your newest follower... hope you visit me too! I have posted and linked and shared your giveaway with my friends, but fingers crossed I would so love to win this... Crafty Hugs,Pendra"
Congrats on winning. I have contacted Pendra and will be mailing her goodies soon. Thank you to all who commented and comments! I appreciate hearing what you say.

Now for Flourishes pre-challenge Home Sweet Home! Let your creativity shine by being inspired by something in your home - it could be the color scheme of a room, a painting, vase or floral arrangement - the sky is the limit on this Home Sweet Home Challenge! Please take a picture and show the inspiration piece in your post. Entries must be in by May 11th at 5PM EST in order to be in the running for the entire May Release! My creation was inspired by one of the tapestries we have in the front room seen below. This is a large one and the colors are always so inviting along with the scene itself. I pulled the greens, blue and some of the browns out of the tapestry and used Cottage Home as it fits the theme also. This fun shape is using Spellbinders Grand labels One. Added a few flourishes jewels from Kaiser and tied my sentiment panel off with some twine and a button from Basic Grey. I do like how this turned out.

Blog Candy Break....

Happy Tuesday! Well I don't have a creation for you but I do have some blog candy. I need a stampers break, things are crazy busy. So I am going to take a little break and in the meantime offer up some fabulous blog candy. I have two fabulous sets from Flourishes called Mother's Words of Wisdom and Motherly Love. Along with an assortment of the awesome laces, trims and ribbons from the Flourishes store. Load of papers from My Minds Eye, Memory Box, Prima and Basic Grey. An assortment of primas from Prima, as well some gorgeous rosets, pearls, sparklers and more. A little something to help with anyones creative juices. I am not a huge fan of rules but the last blog candy I mailed was a bit expensive so I need to put a few rules on this one:
Rules
1. You need to be from North America if you are the winner.
2. Winner will be drawn from the jar by one of the twins. Whoever happens to run in here the fastest when I say I need a winner picked. ha!
3. Deadline to enter is May 2nd 9 pm EST. Winner will be announced May 4th with my Flourishes post that Friday.
4. If you would like to mention anything you want to see on my blog in the future you can, but not required.
Good Luck!

Where Flowers Bloom so does hope

Happy Friday! Today is Flourishes Free for all Friday. My creation is pretty straight forward today and I have to say I love how this turned out. My creation is using the new Botanical Bookplates Vol. 2 and I think this is my favorite of the two. I have to tell you this tailor-made classic bookplate die really is simple and creates a great card in minutes. Almost taking all the work out of a card, ha! Ofcourse you still have to color the image and that but see how simple this is and looks classy? Moving on... we have the flowers that are colored using Copic Collection Violet for the petals with a little of Y02 for the centers. Added a few jewels to the bottom. This textured piece I got my friend Pat, sorry I don't know the name. Finished it off with a little ribbon and button twine combo.
Don't forget about our New Release Bundle Discount, that ends tonight. Be sure to check out the creations from the Design Team:
