Power and Spark Rewind

Happy Friday! The Power and Spark challenge this month is a rewind and look at our challenges for the year. What fun!!! In case you are wondering what all the challenges were here is the compiled list that sweet Leslie did for us:
  • The Sky's the Limit (Use sky colors – sunsets, blue sky, gray sky, any color found in the sky.)
  • Go for the Gold (Use gold in any way – color, embellishments, embossing.)
  • Pop of Pastel (Use soft pastel colors.)
  • Cut it Out (Fussy cut all or part of your image.)
  • Pencil Me In (Color with pencils, including watercolor pencils.)
  • Hang Some Paper (Use at least three different patterns or colors of designer paper.)
  • Shabby & Chic (Soft, feminine, romantic, the appearance of age and wear.)
  • Gifts from the Heart (Gifts or gift packaging, tags, etc.)
  • Bits & Pieces (Use just a portion of an image. Stamp off the edge or cut it out, etc.)
  • Embellish This (Use embellishments)
Be sure to link your creations back on the PP Blog. My creation is using two challenges from actually, the Cut it out challenge and the Gift from the heart challenge.  I purchased this white frame a few weeks back and knew it was going to be perfect for this idea.
My Hollyberries are printed to fit the size frame I have. One set is cut out then using a rolled technique and dimensional look they end up popped up. This look is so cool and adds such a cool touch to creations, especially gifts.  Very simple on the embellishments as the person this is for likes to have clean decor.  ;-)  Besides you know me and the clean and simple, love it! Anyways... Added some sparkle when this was all put together.

Here is a close up of the holly branches, some of the sparkle is coming through in the photo but not much. Cameras.... You can see the way they are all curled up from the base. It is super pretty in real life. I know she is going to love this too. If you want to check out my Holly Frame tutorial you can create your own too.

December Tags

This months Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is all about Drive Thru. You can check out the challenge and get details checking out the thread HERE

I thought I had a lot more tags this year for gifts and when I went to look I had less that I thought. So tags will be on my list the next week or so to create. :-)  These were quick to put together using Peaceful Poinsettia die for the main panel. Some designer paper for the tag base and my sentiment stamped from Poinsettia. Finished it off with some jewels and sparkle. Voila! Hope you can play along with us!

FS460 Warm butterflies

This weeks Featured Stamper 460 is Susie aka Susie Nelson. What a sweet gallery. I choose this Grungy Thanks to case today. I kept with the butterflies, over all colors and changed the rest. Congrats and enjoy your week Susie!

These are beautiful butterflies are from New Creature that are stamped on white cardstock. They are colored using Copic markers then cut out around. The great thing about cutting them out is you can pop them up and fold out the wings from the card base so they look as if they are in flight. Used scrap panel in the pretty blue for the base and a caramel panel with stitched edging with my sentiment from Happy Birthday. A few scattered pearls and some sparkles to the wings. Voila! Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your week!

Poinsettias and snowflakes

Can you believe that November is almost over? This month just flew by along with most of the year in my opinion. My creation today is using the beautiful Poinsettia stamp set. After my bloom was colored I cut around the edges so that I could pop it on my stitched panel. If you don't like to cut around the delicate petals, you are in luck with the matching Poinsettia Die. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and a notched end added for fun.

The main panel is layered over a snowflakes designer paper and adhered to the base. A few scattered pearls  around the card and center of the bloom with some sparkles added. Voila! Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful week!

Check out the sale in the SNSS Store today along with the SNSS Blog for more great savings!
