Happiest Holidays day 4

Last day of our sneak peeks at Power Poppy! Have you enjoyed all our of Happiest Holiday Collections sneaks? Remember they are all available on October 1st, that is TOMORROW!!! Woot woot! The beautiful stamp set today is called Poinsettia. You HAVE to see the inspiration behind this for our beloved Marcy over on the Power Poppy Blog

My card today has Poinsettia stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. I then die cut with a Spellbinders die and added my sentiment to some vellum that I placed directly over the center of the image. Added some of these Candi dots that I have had forever to the corners. Used the base with the same die, but before I added the image panel I used the same Copics that I colored with for a fun dotted border edge around the base. Added the panel and voila!  Cheerful and fun I think with a hint of beauty from the image!

Check out the Bloom Brigades creations and don't forget to stop in tomorrow for the last of the sneak peeks and our release blog hop!

Happiest Holidays Collection Day 3

Today you are going to want to eat the screen as you hop along in Power Poppies Happiest Holidays Collection sneak peeks. You can only imagine the inspiration Marcy had behind this new set called Frosted Gingerbread. Check out the Power Poppy Blog for all the details!

As usual holidays are always when you need those quick, easy and non expensive gifts for certain people. Staff at the school, youth group kids, co-workers something with a little more than the store bought tag on the side, you know. I found these darling little white bags 5 for $1 at Michaels that are perfect for the snack size candy bars. Perfect for the youth kids!
Stamped the long image from Frosted Gingerbread onto white card stock and colored with Copics. Cut the length to fit the bag and layered some fancy edges before I adhered it to red card stock. Attached to the front of the bag and some pearls along the sides. This has a bunch of glitter on the cookies and candies too, hard to see in the photo. Wrapped some red and white ribbon that I have had for ages around the handle. Stamped my sentiment and die cut with Spellbinders Decorative Labels twenty two die and cut around with some red card stock to tie it off. Voila!  Easy peasy and the kids will love it.

Now its time to eat your way on over in the hop to the Bloom Brigades:

Happiest Holidays Collection Day 2

The Christmas shelves are starting to come out at the local stores in our area, how about yours? Power Poppy is getting ready as wel, with day 2 of our Happiest Holidays Collection. Remember that this release will be available October 1st. We have two more days of sneaks to show you!  ;-) Today we will be showing you our new Joyful Arrangements stamp set. Over on the Power Poppy Blog, Marcy has some wonderful inspiration behind this new set. I hope you take the time to stop by and see what makes this lady inspired!

My creation today is also our Featured Stamper 399 challenge casing Jacquie aka Jacquie J. I choose this Country Felt Wreath creation to case. I kept with the word Joy, Gingham paper, over all layout and twine. Changed the stamp, colors and added a poinesettia instead of the buttons. I stamped my Joy to the world sentiment from Joyful Arrangements onto white card stock and die cut with Spellbinders Decorative Labels Twenty Two die. Layered the panel over some red gingham paper. Wrapped red and white twine around the bottom and added some pearls with a poinsettia die for the corner. I like the CAS style of this card, how about you? As I usually say, Voila!

Be sure to check out the creations from the Bloom Brigade today:

See you back here tomorrow for another new sneak peek. Hope you are hungry.  hee hee !! Have a wonderful day.

Happiest Holidays Collection Day 1

Yippee!!! The time has arrived! Are you ready for Power Poppy's Holiday sets?  Marcy is calling them our Happiest Holidays Collection, I am so excited! Just wait until you see all the creations and you will be just as excited as we are! Marcy has some fabulous inspiration behind these sets over on the Power Poppy Blog, so check it out! Today we are showcasing Bottlebrush Holiday!

This is a fairly straight forward long and low card. However the catch is I have a flap inside to hold a gift card or money! I stamped the Ho stamp three times across white card stock. Colored with Copic markers and added a scored border around the edge. Layered onto some real red card stock and added dimensionals to the back. Scored around the border of the base card stock as well and for fun a Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders to the bottom with a few red jewels (yes they are red, silly photographer) and added the stamped panel. There is a little bit of sparkle on the sprigs at the top of each wreath for fun. Voila!

Sweet Aaliyah

One of the girls fell in love with the hand named cards that I created using (Retired) Letters in Blossom. She had me create some baby name cards so that the mom can frame the card afterwards for the babies room. They were such a hit that now that is all she wants for baby cards.  :-)  I also created a name hanger with the same concept you can see HERE if you want to create your own.

So this is one for a baby girl named Aaliyah. Her room is in hot pink, black, white and the damask look. My letters are colored with various Copic markers and layered onto hot pink then black card stock. My pearls are a pinkish sorta ivory color that went great with my flowers and the soft colors of the pink hues. Added a few pearls to the rosets on the letters and some sparkle. Voila!  Have a fabulous day!

Good luck Doreen

Morning! Today I have a card that my husband requested for one of his employees that is leaving. She likes Zinnia's so I dusted off an old set and created. These flowers are stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. I also dusted off my Grand dies for the shape of the card base.

Wrapped some white crochet ribbon around the layers and a ribbon bow. These fun hexagon enamel dots were sitting here asking to be used.  ;-)  She received her card and loved it, yea!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

FS398 Closed Doors

This weeks Featured Stamper 398 is a little sad as my sweet friend and hostess Bridget is stepping down as host. We will miss her dearly and as a little send off we have chosen her as this weeks Featured Stamper as a thank you for all her work. Join us in saying best wishes and hope you can case some of her beautiful work.
I would like to share a little about this beautiful lady. Bridget is one of the sweetest sisters in Christ you will ever meet. If you have a chance to chat with her you will feel the love of God instantly. She has an incredible ability to make you feel loved and like you have been friends since you were children. Bridget has on more than one occasion prayed for me and my family or encouraged me in some way. Her friendship is one that stretches beyond the computer monitor.  :-) Besides the talent God gave her to the ministry, she is an amazing crafter. Her work speaks for itself and something that I have admired for a long time. Bridget has the smallest details that add charm and elegance to go with her incredible coloring skills!  Check out her gallery and see for yourself!

How do you case Bridget? This is what I kept asking as I scrolled through my favorites of pretty much most of her gallery. ha ha  I choose this creation Tea Rose and sad to say I did not do it justice. This is an old set I dusted off called Old tea Rose. I kept the same layout over all, similar papers, sponging, flower and buttons. Changed the paper, ribbon, some colors and added a sentiment from Sentiment Set 3. Voila!  Hope you can play along today.

Fishy Present

Saturday... whohoo!!!  We don't have much to do today other than yard work but I stepped inside to stamp for a bit. These sweet guys are called Fishy Present-Penguin Borthers from WOJ. I have them stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. Some scrap designer papers for the background and pulled out the Snowflakes Trio Die-Light for some added charm. Voila!!!  Okay back to yard work! Hope you have a wonderful day.

ODBD is sew wonderful

Welcome to Our Daily Bread designs rewind of our September release. We sure have some beautiful creations from everyone to share. You can always check out the ODBD Blog for a list of all the creations.
My creations are two fold as they are projects and gifts rather then a standard card. My first one is a gift bag with cards inside for a friend using stamp set Stitches that is stamped on white card stock and die cut using ODBD Custom Elegant Ovals die. I layered the sentiment panel onto the gorgeous new ODBD Custom Doily die creamy pink card stock. Created a banner like base using more creamy pink card stock and ODBD Custom Soulful Stitches collection card stock. Added some white crochet lace and ribbon across the top and some flourished jewels. Voila!

Next is an easel calendar that can be displayed easel style all year long. Two of these were made as my mom wanted one and I sent one to display at the ODBD Shows that we do. The base is a celery card stock with ODBD Custom Soulful Stitches Collection paper with added faux stitching around the edges. My sentiment is from stamp set Stitches die cut with Elegant Ovals again and sponged around the edges before I removed the die. Added some lace trim, my mini calendar and some rosets. Voila!

Recipe book anyone

Good morning! Today I am going to share a project that I created for Our Daily Bread designs using the Chipboard Recipe book that can be found HERE. These make for wonderful gift ideas for family, weddings or even graduates moving out on their own. This one is a family favorites recipe book with some of our favorites.

This is the front of the recipe book. Each page is covered with a base designer paper of large or small dotted paper adhered with glue and tape. The tab Appetizers is using ODBD Custom Elegant Ovals die that I have wrapped across the top so that it has the tag on both sides. Appetizers sentiment is from stamp set Recipe Tags Categories which is perfect for the book sections. Recipes in the center is also die cut and stamped on the Elegant Ovals die. The base background you will notice is the shape of a recipe card from the ODBD Custom die Recipe and tags set. Stamped the silverware stamp from Recipe Icons to the base and adhered to the chipboard cover.  Added my little wooden rolling pin up on dimesnionals and some flourished pearls with loads of rosets from Pat.

Turn the page over and here are two different ways I created pockets for the recipe cards. First is my appetizers that has a ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders die cut layer in pink adhered to white card stock. A few more rosets to the corner and some jewels. You can probably fit about 6 recipe cards in here rather snug and be okay, if you wanted to fit more you would want to over lap your pockets a few inches and have two pockets. The Desserts (Yes I put the favorites up front hee hee) is using a side pocket of the ODBD Custom Doily die that has a darling cupcake from Baking Gift Tags stamp set. This pocket is from the side and can fit about 4-5 recipe cards. Tied off a charm and pink ribbon bow and a roset center.

My next page is for Breads and Rolls, yumo!  The recipe card has another of the Recipe Icon stamps in the corner along with the stamped lines from Recipe Card Lines stamp. Makes it really easy to transfer recipes when the lines are stamped on the cards. Another little pocket created with ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders die

My easy peasy recipes using Crock Pot tag from Recipe Card Categories stamp set with a pocket from of the awesome ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts die with a center scallop circle using Baking Gifts tags stamp set and ODBD Custom Recipe and Tags Die. Lots of bling through out and these awesome rosets from my sweet friend Pat!
That's it from me today we have a busy busy week. Hope you are inspired to create your own recipe book. Have a wonderful day!

FS367 Note of Gratitude

This weeks Featured Stamper 367 is Jennifer aka Mothers Daughter. Wonderful gallery with loads of creations for everyone's style. I choose this Happy Birthday card to case. I kept the white textured layers, decorative oval shape, a red flower. I changed the stamp, moved my sentiment, added pearls  and changed my textures.

This is a free digital image called Tuberose from Digital Two for Tuesday's blog. She has some wonderful images on there for all you digi girls.  ;-)   These are printed on heavy white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I layered my ovals and added dimensionals to the back. This textured plate had not been used in a while so I pulled that out today and added some sparkles which is really hard to see in the photo. A few pearls and voila!  Hope you can play along this week! Have a great day.

Tulips for January

Today is Friday and whohoo for the weekend! The boys first game got cancelled last night by the other team.  :-(  So we have another week of practice before the first game, nothing wrong with that. Busy weekend for us which is not a surprise. DH looked at the calendar and said is there any day free the next few months.  I just giggled. Anyways.... Been working on some special requests lately and this is one of them. An altered clipboard with a 2015 Calendar.

This was super easy to create and makes for a great gift. If you are interested in seeing how I altered this or want to create your own check out my Altered Clip Board Tutorial. I stamped the tulips from Dynamic Duos on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Once colored I carefully cut around them and added dimensionals to the back to pop them up. A few scattered rhinestones and voila!

You are Amazing.. Spidey

Hee hee  Spidey Henry here today. What a fun image to color I tell you. He is a FREE Digi from WOJ and you can find him HERE. Working on more cards for the kids this weekend and here is one for the boys. Spidey Henry is colored with Copic markers and die cut with a Spellbinders Circle.

Behind his panel is a blue die cut using Large Nested Tag Die-Light with a red felt Star Nested Die-Light . They both have a silver eyelet with a bit of twine wrapped through and a bow. My sentiment is perfect for Spidey from the General Sentiments set. Voila! Fun and will make a little one smile. Hope you have a wonderful day!

I kept thinking, stop coloring

Yet I kept going and going trying to blend these colors. ack!!! Sometimes I just need to step away from the markers and take a breather! Well good morning! ha ha  Sorry for the rant. Today is Power Poppy Friday and we hope you pull out markers and play with us today. Check out the Power Poppy blog for all the details!

My creation is using Arranging Roses... Yumo! I adore these roses in the vase and do you see my vase? Yep I played around with some texturing and my colorless blender stuff. I like how the vase turned out, don't you? Various Copics were used to try and color these flowers. A simple Spellbinders die to frame them and a few pearls for the corner for fun. Voila!

Birthday scene

Good morning! A quick guy card today for a friend. This would be his favorite birthday scene, not really mine. Unless you had a hot tub and a relaxing spa treatment to go with it looking out some large bay window. hee hee   This is an older set from Close To My Heart called Hunting that I am most certain is retired by now. This is one of the first sets I got long ago and pulled out to play with.
My Elk is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. A little diamond back textures and my sentiment on a twine tag. Voila!
Have a fabulous day!

Seasons Greetings from the meeces

September 1st and that means the new Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is up and its "Christmas Bingo" this month! See the attached Bingo Card to the Christmas Thread. I went diagonal with pearls, image and ribbon for my creation.

These darling house mouse are called Silent Mice. They are colored with Copic markers with a little bit of stickles added to the leaves. Wrapped my ribbon and lace trim which I know... you can't see. That wasn't planned out very well when I was die cutting with my Grand Dies from spellbinders but oh well I know its there. HA! Added my textures with swiss dots and voila! Hope you can play along this month!
