Good morning! Another fun filled Friday with Power Poppy's Bloom Brigade creations to share. We have all been coloring and having fun this week. Be sure to check out our current Power and Spark challenge Happy Mail.
It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Leslie's work. Often I tell her oh I am going to try that, oh I like that, OH WOW I need to give that a shot and then I never do. Mostly because how does she do that or how do you top that when you see her work, right?!?! Well today is the day... I TRY! Gasp... I know right. ;-) Recently she had the coolest design using the digi My English Rose with a stars and stripes themed card. WOW!!! Its gorgeous and from the comments I know others loved it also. Anyways, I thought about giving it a try with a hearts and roses theme using the stamp My English Rose. So here it is...
Firstly I need to say that the digi would of been a lot wiser to use verses the actual stamp. The stamp worked, but I think the hearts would of been a lot easier to stamp on the larger petals. However this did work and I like how it turned out. So feminine and girlie don't you think?
The rose is stamped on white card stock and then I took the tiny hearts stamp from Small But Mighty Affirmations and using a black marker colored the tiny heart for the single ones you see. The three together is the actual stamp so they do fit perfectly. Maybe I should of left them white instead of red I don't know as I like them sort of blended in. Then a simple die cut to the corner with Love splashed in the corner. Matted this onto a pink Spellbinders die shaped base and a few pearls to finish it off. Voila!

Oh, Stacy, what a beautiful and delicate card with this sweet rose! And I love how you "channeled" Leslie and added bitty stars in the petals - so sweetly colored too! And who doesn't love this intricate die frame along with the great die across with "love" above! Perfect finishing touches with the pearls! Love it all, my friend, and the hearts are just right!! Makes me want to try it myself now - hehe! Big hugs, sweet friend, and have a great weekend!
Absolutely charming Stace!! Love this pink beauty with your creative angled diecut!! I never thought of using that die this way, and it's so striking!! Gorgeous!!
Absolutely stunning and brilliant Stace. Love that angled die!
Oh, wow! This is absolutely amazing with the hearts, Stacy! I love it all sweet and girly with the pink rose and red hearts. They do fit perfectly. Love the three heart stamp. The angled die cut goes perfectly with the frame die cut. And I see your shaded and glittered hearts in that border. Absolute sweetness! And you, again, are so kind to me. Thanks always, my dear friend!
Don't be second guessing your design. It is simply awesome. I love the "Love" and die used diagonally! And the rose with the hearts you added makes this something really special. The 3 scattered pearls are the perfect touch to fill in the white space. I'm a Leslie fan to and I think you've done her proud.
