FS361 Snowflake Thanks

This weeks Featured Stamper 361 is Joy aka Joy131275 with a very sweet gallery. I like all that white space on her creations. I found this awesome Chrissy and Leanna card that was so cool. The shape popped up with white on white was awesome. I kept the clean and simple design, sentiment and a few jewels. Changed the theme, colors and sentiment placement.
I am working on thank you cards and these snowflakes were calling my name for the case. I used Snowburst Die-light die cut in light blue card stock. Popped up the back with some dimensionals and added to my main panel. I think white would of looked better but I wanted to try the blue. Should of gone with the white. ha!  Added a few baby blue crystals to the computer generated sentiment and the snowflakes. I think I am going to try this again and have the snowflakes white. I will let you know how it turns out. :-)  Have a wonderful day.

Back to school bookmark

Working on a few general bookmarks for boys, this is On Time For School. He is stamped onto classic white card stock using Memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with various Copic markers. Very simple since it is for a boy, they don't like a lot of fluff ya know. Added two stars using Star Nested Die-Light with a brad center. Tied off some ribbon and twine at the top of the bookmark. Easy peasy. Now I asked my boys if they would use this and I got a strange look. I think it might be too"kiddy" for them. They asked for something with a guitar on it or drums instead. Hhhmm... guess this will go to the younger classes. They are growing so fast I tell ya. I think it turned out sweet but what do I know as I am just mom. hee hee  Thanks for stopping in with me today!

Thank you Apples

Happy first Friday in 2014!! We want to extend our best wishes to each of you for the New Year! Since this is the Friday before Flourishes new release, you are probably wondering where our Pre-Release Challenge is? Well, we decided to let the Friends of Flourishes gals run this month's challenge! Be sure to tune in next Tuesday and play along with the Release Week Timeless Tuesday Challenge! We'll have three winners that week for the FULL release! Play along as many times as you want for multiple chances to win!

Free for All Friday with Border

The first of the year the request for cards is usually thank you cards from the girls at DH work. I grabbed Apple Of My Eye for this thank you card. The apples are stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Colored with Copic Collections:

A hint of orange coloring on the apples was a mistake that I think turned out rather nice don't you? After they were colored I simple detailed cut around the image. You don't have to do that if you don't want to as we have a Silhouette Cut file for Apple Of My Eye. Added dimensionals to the back to pop them up and then some sparkles to the leaves. The first of the year christmas challenge is new from old. Dust off the old things and make them new again which I have had a lot of fun with this week. One thing I dusted off were the Candi (large enamel like dots in the corner) that I really like as accents. So be on the look out for several creations with these. I have the bug "again" for them now that they are dusted off. hee hee  Tied off a Color Made Easy Poppy Rancho ribbon bow and voila!

Now for some fun today, the Flourishes Senior Design Team has a bit of beautiful variety to show off. Some of the team got to play with Becky Fleck’s new round of January Sketches at PageMaps and others on the team are going to surprise you with some of their own creativity. Join these lovely ladies for some fabulous inspiration to kick-off your New Year!

Isaiah 41:10 Scripture Stand

Did you catch the exciting news? I am one of the new bread sticks over at Our Daily Bread designs. Yea!! I was very excited when Kelley asked me to join the ranks of these talented ladies. Also joining me is Linda Carson and Elizabeth Whisson. Please visit their blogs and be sure to congratulate them.
What better way to celebrate then add another page to my Scripture Stand I made for the boys teacher. This is using Scripture Collection 1 that is stamped onto classic white card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.

My blooms along the side of the base are from my wonderful friend Pat. This was a simple design with little embellishments with a few jewels and a flourished jewels corner accent. Voila!  I think this is the last one and now it is time to make a new one for another teacher. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Candy Bar Wrapper

Supplies

Some of the supplies you will need to create this candy bar wrapper. Designer paper, white card stock, bow image, scissors, adhesive, stickles

Step 1

Stamp the bow and tags onto white card stock. Stamp the bow center another two times onto white card stock. Color as desired and cut around the ribbon bow.

Step 2

Cut in between each of the individual ribbon bow edges and use pencil or finger to round out the ribbon edge to form a bow like edge. Add dimensionals to the back of each bow center

Step 3

Adhere your designer paper wrapped around the candy bar in width you desire. Adhere the bow with ribbon edge to the center of candy bar.

Step 4

Before the second two center bows are added make sure the edges are rounded and look puffed up as shown. Adhere to the center and adjust as desired

Step 5

My final results with tag and sparkles added. Hope you enjoy your new candy bar wrapper

New year, New challenges....

A fresh new year of Christmas cards for the coming December. Personally I love creating Christmas cards all year as some of you know. I have a fun list of new challenges for the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenges so hope you will join us in the fun. January challenge is all about New...with the Old. That's right grab and dust off some of your "older" stuff and make it new again. Be sure to share all your creations with us in the forum HERE.
I have a few older things on this card. First is the Spellbinders Grand Scallop Square die that is my base cut in Classic Kraft card stock. When I first ordered these I used them a lot and then they have sat here for awhile. They make for awesome larger 5x5 base cards. My sentiment is from Country Time Christmas that is stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink again onto Classic Kraft card stock. I die cut the sentiment panel using Spellbinders Decorative Labels Twenty Eight die popped up on dimensionals. The designer paper is from Echo Park Keepin Cozy paper pack layered onto Color Made Easy True Blue card stock.
Wrapped some of the beautiful cream lace trim around the bottom with a Color Made Easy True Blue Delft ribbon bow. Another oldie but goodie I used were these cool Candi dots, they look like enamel dots in a way and the shimmer on them is awesome.
Here is a side view so you can see another of my older items the gel suduko pen. I have a gold shimmer all around the edges of whatever I could ink with the pen. ha ha  In real life the shimmer is rather elegant touches. Easy Peasy flat rate mailer for the most part, well other than the extra postage for larger size. But hey it is some what flat. ha ha!
Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check back later today as a Blog Hop is coming of new goodies from Your Next Stamp Creations. Have a wonderful New Year DAY!
