Envelope Surprise

Good morning! I mentioned last week or the week before that I was cleaning out the craft room and I found the Envelope Punch Board and dusted it off. I got to playing and created a fun Valentine treat.

 This is my Envelope Surprise! You can check out the tutorial and create your own Envelope Surprise if you want.  ;-)  Very easy peasy and would make great treats for the class room or even the bible study girls as this has the delicious Ghiradeli chocolate inside, yumo!  The stamp on the front is a retired stamp set that I dusted off called Heart Hugs. Die cut using Hearts Die light and wrapped some twine and button for the bottom. Voila! Have a wonderful day. 

FS414 If it matters to you

This weeks Featured Stamper 414 is Ann aka Dockside. Delightful creations and so many that I wanted to case. Finally choose this Wreath and Ribbon card to case. Kept the colors, textured panel, wreath and sentiment tag. Changed the stamp, textures, added sequins. Hope you can play along and enjoy your week Ann!

As of late I was cleaning out the stamp room and dusting off a bunch of things. I came across this beautiful wreath (retired now) and knew it was perfect for the card I wanted to case. I stamped the image on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Die cut with a Spellbinders circle die and added dimensionals to the back. The ever so trusty swiss dots texture plate was perfect background choice. A few added sequins and my sentiment from Be Encouraged and voila! 

2015 Arranging Roses

Happy Friday! Today I have another journal that I altered from the local craft store. Just may have to keep this one as these blue flowers are calling my name.  :-)  You can see my Notebook Tutorial if you want to see how I altered this $1 notebook. 

This is digital image Arranging Roses that I have rather large. I wanted the front of the journal to be mostly the image and not a lot of fluff, rather simple in design which is just what I like. The whole digital version of stamps has taken awhile for me to accept, as I do like the whole stamping process. However when you want to go bigger with an image this is the way to go. Digi's have found a place in my stamping room now, yea! Anyways.... Simply colored my image with Copic markers. Added a Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One edges and some sequins and sparkles for the final touch. Voila!

Special Delivery

Good morning! I am happy to say the kids are back at school from the Winter break and things are getting back into a routine. There is something to be said for the routine I tell you! Been busy with paper and ink the last few days and having a blast. I have decided that some things just need to be done, ya know. I dusted off a few stamp sets and went to town. Amazing what you find when you go searching for things.

This stamp is new from last month called Mini Tag Sentiments that has a matching mini tag die. I created my Paper Bow using the Envelope Punch Board. Another thing I bought and dusted off as I have only used it a few times. Gasp!  If you want to create your own Paper Bow, check out my Paper Bow tutorial. They are super easy and so fun. This is a baby card for a friend. The paper is from the Christmas Collection 2014 pack. Tied off a cream button with some twine for the center of the bow. Voila!  

FS413 Wishing you a wonderful day

This weeks Featured Stamper 413 is Torico! This was a new gallery to me and what a surprise! I enjoyed looking at all the creations, had a hard time choosing. I choose this Watercolor Thank you to case. I kept the blue flowers, colors and simple design. Changed the image, added some textures and a piece of scrap designer paper. Hope you can play along this week! 

This is another Free Digital Image from Beccy's place that I had saved long ago and finally had printed out. This is colored with Copic markers. A simple scored border around the edge with added jewels and button twine to the corners. I textured the top layer and added a scrap piece of designer paper to the bottom above my sentiment. Voila! Have a wonderful day. 

New batch of card sketches

Good morning! Did you see? The new batch of card sketch's at Pagemaps is up! Check it out at Pagemaps or Cardmaps.com for all the new sketches! Some of us at the Bloom Brigade are playing with a few of the sketches and having fun. Here is a quick look at the sketch I played with.

I knew that Merry Little's was the perfect stamp set for this sketch. I stamped the holly along as the sketch shows. Scored the border you see and added Suduko Gold Gel pen over the top (hard to see in the picture) and tied some gold cord around the base. Added my sentiment from O Holy Night and a jewel. Voila!

New Year, New Challenges all Christmas!

Happy New Year! I pray that you had a safe and fun celebration into 2015! I still can't believe it is Jan. 1st, time has a way of coming and going faster than I want it seems.  :-)  Well the fun just keeps on coming as we start a new year of Dirty Dozen Christmas challenges but it is also the start of our 4th year running! Wow!!!  The past few years has keep a lot of us on top of our Christmas cards and I am sure for some of you as well.

So let's get onto this month's challenge and links.

Our Jan. 2015 challenge is a look back at the last 3 years challenges. You can find the link to all the information HERE.  I went back to March 2012 for inspiration. This is a square Pocket Card using Heaven and Nature Sing. You can check out my Pocket Card Tutorial if you want to create your very own. My image is stamped on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. I added a gold suduko border around the panel and to all the leaves. Very hard to see in the picture though, sorry about that. 

Here is the card insert that hides behind the panel. This has enough room to add a giftcard or two as well which is perfect! I hope you can play along with us this month and keep your Christmas cards coming each month! We are looking forward to our 2015 challenges! See you soon!
