Last Sneaks Goose Hugs

Today is the last day of Clear Dollar Stamps July sneak peeks. All the sets you have seen will be available tomorrow July 1st over at the CDS Store. Today I have Goose Hugs which happens to be the stamp of the month. If you spend over $50 you get this set for free. I have two cards that have a country feel to them I think. This first one is with some SU dp and a punched out frame from some spellbinders that I used for my frame here. I love that they leave the cut outs for frames. Added some ribbon and a few pearls.

The next one is so darn cute I think and simple. I used a layout from a card I made years ago. I left it sentiment free for any occasion.

Be sure to check out the last sneak peeks from:Candy

Sneak Peeks Freedom and Lambs

Welcome to day 2 of Clear Dollar Stamps July Sneak Peeks. All these sets will be available on July 1st over at the CDS Store front. Today I am showing you 2 sets. This first one is called Freedom in Christ. I have a real feminine feel to this one with my flower and pearls. I like how this turned out so springy.

This next one I went with a much richer and warmer feeling. I still like the pearls and the color of the paper is new from our Clearly Coordinating Cardstock collections. This color is called Bee pollun.

My next cards are using my all time favorite set so far from CDS called Loving lambs. This set is just so precious. I have several cards I have made and most of them I gave away faster than I could get a photo for it. I did get these two in photo's. The first one I masked the little lambs along the limb. :0)

Then for my next one very soft and subtle with the blue and white. I gave this one to the boys school for one of the teachers to use. They are requesting several cards with this set alone. I don't blame them, I just love the lambs in this set. I am only showing you two of them too. The scriptures and sentiment are just perfect. Okay enough about how much I love this set. LOL

Don't miss the sneak peeks from the girls today:

Friday Focus Inspiration Piece

Happy Friday! Over on Flourishes Blog today Cindy has a wonderful photo that we all used for inspiration. Talk about a beautiful room so relaxing and soothing. I went with the darker creams and a brown than the lighter cream. But I did pick up the roses on the table with the A year in Flowers 2 set, and the fancy molding behind the bed is the same pattern on this webster pages paper I used. I left this sentiment free and just added a silk ribbon bow.
Check out what the girls created with the IC photo:

Thinking of Cal

This Gruffies is so sweet isn't it? I just adore the way he is lifting his buddy up. I made this card for Cal who is a young man of a friend. Their family had a shocking and tragic accident happen to one of Cal's friends last week. I wanted him to know that I was praying for his family as well as his friends family. I can't even imagine how hard that would be for their family.
I got this Gruffies image from Sue aka Coffeestamper. Thanks Sue! Kept this pretty free of girlie stuff since it is for a guy. Scored around the border and added brads. Very simple. Thanks for looking! Be sure to check back tomorrow 9pm EST for Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop and NEW RELEASE!!! Have a great day.

Gift for Mikayla's 13th Birthday

Over at Splitcoast they had a tutorial for a Stationary box. I turned mine into a little card fit for Mikalya's birthday gift. She is turning 13 and I thought would be a fun little gift for her to make her own cards for her friends. I stamped out some of the Miss Anya greeting farm girls for her, added some card stock and designer papers. I also flipped the little box sideways so that the ribbons would fit better, little baggies with some primas and brads. Then some pearls and jewels in the other little pocket. She can make 5 cards with the papers included.

As for the box itself. I trimmed off the little side edge for when you close it, I thought that this worked better for this gift. I also turned the one pocket and left it open around it. I have this thing full of all these goodies, that I reinforced the bottom with an extra piece of paper besides the folded in flaps. The prima on the lid is from one of Flourishes prima sets. The stamp on the front and her card is from the Miss Anya collection from the Greeting farm. They are such darling teen images, I love them. Thanks for looking!

I kept them all pretty simple for embelishments as you can see. A little bit of the lemon crochet trim, some lavendar silk ribbon, pink grosgrain. I added a few jewels or brads to each one. Just some fun little quick cards. Be sure to check out what the girls did with their free for all Friday:

Now for my EXCITING NEWS! I have a new hat over at Flourishes. I am the Director of Wholesale Development. This is so exciting for me. I have some big shoes to fill with Sharon leaving. I have been diligently working behind the scenes getting used to the system and how things work. I have implemented a few things for our Wholesale customers already. I even started contacting potential stores to help move Flourishes more into brick and mortar operations. I figure why wait! LOL

With my MIL store closing over a year ago I wasn't sure what God had planned for me. This is such a great opportunity for me and I am thrilled! I have a passion for Flourishes stamps and the owner Jan Marie is wonderful. Julie has been more than gracious and helpful in all my questions and concerns. She has a huge hat at Flourishes also that really most don't even know she does. So give her some love next time you are at her blog and tell her how wonderful she is and GREAT JOB for me! :0) Julie and I will be rooming and flying together for CHA this July to Chicago. I am super excited! So if you are going to CHA look out for us, I would love to meet some of you SCS friends! Okay enough rambling, I think this is the most I have talked on my blog ever. LOL Have a wonderful day!

Sailing Jeremiah

This is a general masculine card I made using The Lord's Plan and Lost at sea. I used a distressor and added a little rough edging to the panel. Scored around the sentiment and tied it off with a single brad. I like the clean feeling of this. Thanks for stopping in, hope you have a great day.

Humming Along today

Happy Friday! Today marks day one of summer vacation at our home and the boys are just so darn excited. I am working on something to keep them busy this summer and hopefully get some stamping time in while they are home all day. hee hee
The set today you will be seeing is Humming Along. I really enjoy the options this set gives you. My first card I went with some vibrant yellow and white. I can't get enough of this lemon crochet trim, I mean its so cheery and vibrant. I used copic collections Buttercup and Evergreen.

My second card I stamped out the branch twice and added the smaller humming bird to the picture. The crochet ribbon and soft colors of the MB Spearmint were my color palette.
Topped it off with a copper ribbon slider from the finishing touches collection.

This wonderful set is called Fiddles and Ferns. Now the title alone makes me giggle, sounds like something a grandmother would say when she got upset and didn't want to use other words. lol This set has several different images and sentiments in the set. I made a gift set with all the images, this is one of the cards in the set. I will show you the rest in the gift set next week. I pulled out my 7gypsies Savannah paper pack for the colors. Stamped the leaf in rose red, then in creamy caramel for a backdrop. Added some ribbon and pearls and voila all done.

Blue skies and Sunshine days

As we get ready to unveil a whole new ‘crop’ of stamps, we reflect on what we love about summer -- those bright blue skies and sunny days! Yep, this is a color challenge and to be in the running, all you need to do is use some combination of blue and yellow. It can be any shade! Play along and you could walk away with all four stamps in Flourishes’ June release! To enter and the rest of the details check out Flourishes Blog!

I pulled out the beautiful Gerber Daisies for my creation of blue skies and sunshine. I really love this vibrant lemon crochet trim, it really is perfect for summer. I angled the panel for something different, a scallop edge with some piercing tied off with silver cord. Then just for giggles I added some of these awesome BG Indigo square rhinestones in blue. Now I love the circle rhinestones but these squares are really starting to peek my interest. lol So you will probably see more of those here soon. :0) Hopefully you get a chance to play along with us. SSW Vibrant Girls

Rain rain go away! Man we have nice weather for a few days and then it starts raining. Yuck... I was over at my mom's house yesterday and she informed me that she read my blog that morning. She is an English major and teacher at the local college. So needless to say I have a few grammer or spelling error, but not too bad. LOL Go figure, she is still trying to help me. ha-ha Thanks mom!
This is for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I pulled out my Scripture Children with some Memory Box dp Sugar Rush. Feels like summer with the vibrant colors. I got this awesome yellow gingham ribbon in a RAK from Pat Smethers this week. Thanks girlie, I just love this yellow! Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day.
