The New Year 2012

So how are you first couple hours of the New Year treating you? Hopefully you had a great evening and today is starting off wonderful. We stayed home snuggled on the couch watching TV and a movie. Yep it was a great night if you ask me!
Wondering why is she making a Christmas card? Never a better time to work on your cards for next year. Some of us dirty girls are working ahead with a little challenge each month. This month our challenge is *something new* new stamps, new paper, ribbons or even a new technique. If you would like to play along just use the keyword SCSCCJAN12 for us to find your Christmas creations. For mine I used the new stamp set I got last week called Christmas Joy from SweetnSassy Stamps. Cardinals are traditionally red however these creamy browns and burgundy was talking to me today. I added a little toasted almond sheer ribbon and some gold cord. The circle Spellbinders tag was too big so I made my own with the smaller circle and cut the square design in half and adhered it to the edges. hee hee easy peasy! The sparkle is not showing much however there is some on the pine branches.

Thanks for stopping in today. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!
