Home Sweet Home and a winner

Welcome to Flourishes Pre-Release challenge for May. Before I get into the details of the challenge I have a winner from my blog candy last week. My break was good, however the main reason for the break was we were in Washington DC for the week. My DH recieved a very honored award that flew us to DC for the ceremony. A very big deal as it was a black tie ceremony and all. We brought the kids with us and added a few days to the trip and played tourists for the week. It was FABULOUS! What a week! I will show you some pictures after we get all settled again and I finish laundry. HA! So be on the look out for those pictures soon. Now for the winner... Randomly drawn from the jar by DS is.....
Pendra who said " I just came across your site from someone at the Cutting Cafe, very nice site! I also just started with OWH and WOW, over 1200 cards you have made and sent, that is sooooo wonderful! Thanks for supporting our troops! And thanks for the chance to win this very generous candy! I am your newest follower... hope you visit me too! I have posted and linked and shared your giveaway with my friends, but fingers crossed I would so love to win this... Crafty Hugs,Pendra"
Congrats on winning. I have contacted Pendra and will be mailing her goodies soon. Thank you to all who commented and comments! I appreciate hearing what you say.

Now for Flourishes pre-challenge Home Sweet Home! Let your creativity shine by being inspired by something in your home - it could be the color scheme of a room, a painting, vase or floral arrangement - the sky is the limit on this Home Sweet Home Challenge! Please take a picture and show the inspiration piece in your post. Entries must be in by May 11th at 5PM EST in order to be in the running for the entire May Release! My creation was inspired by one of the tapestries we have in the front room seen below. This is a large one and the colors are always so inviting along with the scene itself. I pulled the greens, blue and some of the browns out of the tapestry and used Cottage Home as it fits the theme also. This fun shape is using Spellbinders Grand labels One. Added a few flourishes jewels from Kaiser and tied my sentiment panel off with some twine and a button from Basic Grey. I do like how this turned out.

That picture reminds me so much of Paris. I went there on my honeymoon many years ago. Gave up a big wedding for an awesome trip instead. I pulled this set out and almost used it.. I love all of this Stacy. I am so glad you had a good trip. I can't wait to go. I bet you were beautiful in your dress..:)
