Flourishes December Release

Hi all and welcome to day one of Flourishes' sneak peeks for December! This release is full of floral fancy and today is no exception. When this set was just in the concept form, illustrator Marcella Hawley came to us with images from her own home. She not only loves to draw botanical images and dream about botanicals but she loves bringing them to life in her own garden. It's really quite incredible. She pitched this concept based on what she loves to do in the winter months, dream about  spring!  When winter hits, dreams of being in the garden begin with open sketch books, seed catalogs and garden journals - planning, plotting and envisioning sprouts and buds emerging from the soil. This set, illustrated by Marcella Hawley features three vivid vignettes honoring these garden dreams. Also features three beautifully scripted sentiments. Set measures 4" by 6". If you like what you see, you can pre-order this set right now by clicking HERE!

For my creation using Garden Dreams I thought I would keep it simple. I stamped my image onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.

My image is colored using copic collections:

The beautiful designer paper is from Echo Park called This n That which is perfectly paired with our Color Made Easy Collections Poppy. My ribbon is from the same CME Poppy collection that I tied off with some jute twine. Added a button center with a few added pearls to the corner. Like I said fairly simple today.

Stacy,You've hit the graphic nail on the head! That's the look last year's seeds and gloves have awaiting a better moisture year. Your Flourishes stamping work Garden Dreams carry intended hope as the snow falls outside my window. We pray for moisture to accumulate heavily in the mountains for spring and summer runoff so gardens won't be a next year hope as they were this year. Thanks for your uplifting coloring and shared Flourishes stamping. Keep Looking UP!

Beautiful card Stacy,
It's so refreshing to see simple cards once in a while. I think I've forgotten how to make simple cards.
