Flourishes, Roses are red...

RosesAreRedGraphic
Welcome to day 2 of Flourishes’ January Sneak Peeks featuring three of our newest sets! Today's sneak is all about love and a cute little poem we all seemed to learn when we were kids! Only now, it's paired with a few beautiful botanicals that are just screaming to be colored up! Are you ready? Roses are Red by Marcella Hawley puts a new spin on that old, sweet poem! Roses are Red, Violets are Blue --- you finish the phrase with these mix and match sentiments! This set offers a bunch of roses and violets and a single flower bunch that is perfect to send to your sweetie. Use this set for Valentine's Day or any time you want to serve up some love in the form of a card! Set measures 4" by 6". Would you like to win it? Well, why don't you play our little blog comment game......
Mystery Blogger Graphic

We don’t know which one of these ladies below will be the Mystery Blogger but one will, so leave comments on all of our designers’ blogs and you’ll be in the running to win today’s Roses Are Red set! Want to see all the fun things you can do with this little number?
My creation is pretty straight forward today. I stamped one of the larger images in the Roses are Red stamp set onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.

My image is colored with several copic collections:

Once colored I die cut my panel using Spellbinders standard circles. I used two different Color Made Easy paper collections today Poppy and Sunflower. My base for the image panel is using Spellbinders Picot Edge circle  using the Poppy collection.

I added some Color Made Easy Sunflower antique gold ribbon for a bow, pierced the top and bottom edge and then a few crystal hearts in white for the corner. Voila!

This is so pretty! All the designers have chosen different color schemes for their cards and it's neat to see how the images look when they are colored differently. Love your bold red, the die behind the circle and your pierced borders.
