Romantic mices

This couple is just darling and I enjoy creating with them. These two mices are from the Summer Kit 2012, however their is a Digi Version if you would like called Taking A Walk. They are stamped onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with several copic makers.

This is one of my favorite shapes from Spellbinders that I use quite a bit. Added some of our Twiner Die-Light to the back of the framed image. Some beautiful rosets from my friend Pat and then a little bit of lace and ribbon trim. Super sweet and so simple. Have a great day!

Thank you Blossoms

Happy Monday! The boys have the day off from school for a snow day so we are going around town playing today. They are super excited and after SAT test last week it is great to have the extra day off.
Today I have for you a very bold and colorful creation with the classic red, white and black colors. I stamped Bees and Blossoms onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
Colored with copic collections:

Once the flowers were colored I die cut them using Spellbinders classic ovals that I layered onto Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals. This beautiful red cardstock is from Color Made Easy Poppy collection.

Layered with some of the Classic Black we have in stock. Some swiss dots for textures on the background with a flourish from Cherry Lynn die and then tied off a ribbon bow using Color Made Easy Poppy Bangkok red ribbon. A single black pearl to the sentiment circle and voila!
Hope you have a wonderful day.

FS325 deers

Happy Sunday! This weeks Featured Stamper 325 is Patti aka Patti G. Beautiful gallery and lots of altered or 3D items that I would LOVE to case. However I was leaning towards the guys and went with this Fathers Day Deer instead. I kept the layout, twine, button and a deer or elk. I changed the stamp and some colors and left off the sentiment. This image is called Deer + Fawn. The designer paper is scraps but figured it was a closest match I had to the background of the wood grain dp Patti used. Added two brads since I took off the snetiment and the fun corner tear to the one.  Hope you get a chance to play along with us this week. Have a great day!

Watch out, I know Kung Fu

Over on the Whiff Of Joy Blog today we are showcasing a few of our Die-Lights in some fun creations. To see all the DT creations in one place be sure to visit the WOJ Blog. My creation is crisp and clean feeling just as I like with this adorable Kung Fu Henry. Isn't he just fun? I stamped him onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. He is colored with various copic markers.

I used two Die-Lights for my creation the fun serrated circle and the Arrows. They make for fun backbground and accents don't you think. My panel is popped up on dimensionals and scored around the border. Easy Peasy! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Gerber Daisies for mom

It's Friday, Whohooo!!!! I am excited for the weekend as we have a football game tonight, plans with friends and just a weekend of fun. Now that is what a weekend should be all about! hee hee   Over on the Flourishes Blog today the DT are showing you some favorite creations.  Before I get to my creation we have some exciting news to share with you. The talented and beautiful Julie has been the Flourishes DT Coordinator for a number of years and honestly this woman is amazing. She does so much behind the scenes here at Flourishes and then to the job of  DT Coordinator, she really is super woman. However, Julie would like to pass the baton as they say over to Christine who is now our new DT Coordinator. I think Julie just wants more time to play in her stamp room. hee hee  Christine is fabulous and is the perfect choice to fill the shoes of DT Coordinator. If you know Christine as some of do you would agree with what I told her, she is going to *rock*  the role and I am thrilled to see her shine in this new position with Flourishes. Whohoo!!! Please congratulate Christine with us.
Now onto my creation.... The Gerber Daisies have been on my desk lately creating some cards for friends and DH work girls. I stamped the Gerber Daisies onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
Colored with copic collections:

Once colored I carefully trimmed around the flowers as the leaves have lot of angles in between each one. Added dimensionals to the back and set it aside. Two Color Made Easy paper packes were used for this card, True Blue and Rich Browns.

My frame is die cut with the CME True Blue using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangle die, one of my favorites! Layered a CME Rich Brown layer and then another piece of True Blue that has been textured with swiss dots. Took the white crochet lace and added it to the center along with the Color Made Easy Sunflower Antique gold ribbon for the color. Before I put the daisies down added a few flourishes pearls for bling. Then my flowers and sentiment. Voila! I do love how this turned out.

Be sure to check out the creations from the design team today and see what their favorites are:

    WOJ#153 Spring time walk

Happy Wednesday! Over on the Whiff Of Joy blog today is the new challenge. This weeks challenge #153 is Spring. Hope you can play along with us.
Our weather is starting and I do mean starting to turn nice. With the nicer weather Ranger and I notice on our daily walk more dogs out walking with their owners and that made me think of this adorable girl called Maya's Best Friend. I stamped her onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.

She is colored with various copic markers. Once colored I left her with just the one layer but added dimensionals to the back. Created a round card using Spellbinders Grand circles and added a piece of cardstock to the base from My Minds Eye The sweetest thing Lavendar pack. My flowers have some white pearl brad centers for bling and some of our Die-Lights Leaves trio for added fun. You can see a few flourished pearls sneaking out here and there and my sentiment from General Sentiments 2. Voila a springy walk today! hee hee  Hope you have a wonderful day!

    Bold and Vibrant garden

Today is a bold and bright feeling as you can see.  :0)   I have really enjoyed this new set called Garden Gate so much. I stamped the gate image onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
    Colored with copic collections:

Scored around the border and layered onto some Color Made Easy Poppy cardstock. Die cut two of our Perfectly Pierced shapes out Classic Window and Victorian Ovals. I cut both of them straight down the middle so that I could space them farther apart. Once they were taped down I grabbed a piece of scrap paper from the bin to cover the cut marks. Then layered some white crochet ribbon down the center with some Color Made Easy Sunflower antique gold ribbon down the middle. Added a few flourishes pearls and voila! I like how bold this feels, very cheerful! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fabulous day!

HMF#143 Rain, snow, sunshine or what....

Happy Monday! Today on the House Mouse and Friends blog challenge #143 it is all about Weather. Rain, sunshine, snow whatever your imagine and work up in your creation. Be sure to visit the blog for all our sponsors and prizes!
For my creation I went with rain. I stamped my image onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with various copic markers. This is very simple in design ofcourse with just a little bit of lace trim and some ribbon. Scalloped the bottom edge and added some pearls. Voila! Hope you can play along with us this week!
What a weekend...  The twins had some friends over from school on Friday and they were all playing capture the flag in the backyard and front yard. Well one of the boys (same child who broke his arm last fall) decided to try and break his ankle this time. ugh... He came hobbling in and barely able to walk. His ankle was so swollen we took him to the doctor to get X-rays after awhile becuase we were afraid he had broken it. The xrays showed no fractures or broken bones, thank GOD!!!  He did however sprain it pretty bad and may have stretch the legimates a bit too much. So he has an air-cast on for about 2 weeks. If the swelling doesn't go down after a week we go back in for more x-rays. So far its slowly going down. What an ordeal... Just glad he didn't break anything.

Been super busy the last few weeks. One of those things was painting the exterior of our house. Recently while DH was in Washington DC for work I decided to paint  the house. The exterior of the house hasn't been painted since we built it 10 years ago and well it could use a fresh coat.  I started painting and got quite a bit done. DH came home to an 80% painted house and had to do the rest which was the 4 gables and the parts I could not reach.  However I did get most of it painted for him. Now I have to say that manual labor is NOT my thing.... that is a lot of work and next time I might think twice about it. I under-estimated the work involved  in all that. The house is completely painted now and looks fabulous! Now to get new carpet and things will be awesome. LOL  That will have to wait awhile he said.  :0)   Enough babbling... hope you have a fabulous day!

    FS324 There are always flowers...

This weeks Featured Stamper 324 is Robin aka Missro. I choose this My Friend creation to case. I kept it to the CAS design, white base, sentiment and floral. Changed the flower and floral. I stamped Garden Gate onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
    Colored with copic collections:

Once colored I cut around the flowers and popped them up on dimensionals. I have a slightly smaller card base that I scored around the edge and layered onto more classic white cardstock. Some clear rhinestones scattered around and voila! Hope you can play along this weekend!

    Chubby Christmas

Well the calendar says that spring is here. However where I live its not quite spring. Not quite as cold as this guy though. I adore this snowman, he is from Whipper Snapper called Prescott. I actually submitted this one for publication and it was turned down. I know... how do you turn down this fat guy? ha!  He is stamped onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with copic markers. I have added stickles to his body and had. My snowflakes have a little bit of faux stitching added to the centers. Easy peasy. Hope you enjoy your weekend!

The Spring Blossoms set was on the desk so I went with that for my creation. Stamped the large blossom onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
    Colored with copic collections:

The lavendar border along the side is by cutting the Perfectly Pierced Classic Window die in half and using that as my edge for. Fun look and easy to do. My papers are from two Color Made Easy Collections, Crocus and Sunflower.

Gathered some of the white lace trim down the center and tied off my Color Made Easy Crocus lavendar ribbon bow. Voila!  Be sure to check out the creations from the Design Team:
