September Christmas challenge

Morning! The Dirty Dozen September Christmas challenge is posted and it is: Did you water the tree? Those of us that have live Christmas tree's know that water is very important. So how about some water coloring this month? Or include an image with a water aspect or even a tree in your creation. Enjoy and have fun with it.

My watercolor paper had to be dusted off for this challenge and what a great time to play. Water color is suppose to have that subtle lighter edge to it and I always have trouble, as I tend to like the bright or darker coloring. A few of the leaves have a lighter side to them.. but not enough I can't help myself. :-)  This is Poinsettia that is stamped on the water color paper and I used an aqua pen to color. My sweet friend Katie sent me a gold pen a few months back and so I added a few gold touches to the edges and the edges of my sentiment panel. A gold bow and a few jewels to finish it off. Voila! I hope you get a chance to play this month.
Later today on the CardMaker Blog I have a post about button fun. Be sure to check it out! Have a wonderful day.

Beautifully watercoloring, Stacy, and love the gold leafing! I always tend to get my watercolors too intense, but I plan to dust off my watercolor paper, too, and work on that light wash look.
