Simple congrats

Good morning. Hope Wednesday is good to you today. Yesterday I was sitting at a few events and was on my cell phone looking up Pinterest humor.  I had quite the little day of giggling to myself and at one point I was on lunch and laughing so hard. Oh my! Do you ever just need fun days like that? I needed a day like that. I pinned quite a few things and then I got to checking out puppy videos. Aaaaaahhhh.. Now that will make your heart swoon. Anyways..

I have a simple congrats card today that I made using ODBD Sparkling Stars dies. They are die cut in the white panel with some designer paper added to the back. Added stickles  around the die cut star frames and a few grey brads. My sentiment with a fish tale end and voila! Very easy peasy. Have a wonderful day.

Follow your heart

Good morning! Today over on the Power Poppy Blog we have a new digi for you called Follow Your Heart! Marcy has some inspiration behind these roses that are so sweetly bundled together to form this heart and arrow. It just makes you smile. Check out the Digi selection in the store to see all the instant downloads to start your coloring.  ;-) In case you missed it last week we released the ever so beautiful Everything's Rosy also. So check it out !

I printed this and colored it while watching the Denver and Patriots game. Needless to say I colored less and screamed and cheered more and finished this after the victorious win by Denver. Woot Woot!!!  Super Bowl here we come! Moving on...  ;-)
After the roses were colored I cut around the image so it would pop up for the panel. Yes my swiss dots is reverse on the pink panel and I like the way it looks with the heart downs the side. Some faux stitching seemed to be fitting for the feel of this card. This is old designer paper that I can't remember the name of what it came from? Sorry. A few scattered jewels and then sparkles to finish it off, Voila! Have a wonderful day!

FS468 Rosy notecard

This weeks Featured Stamper 468 is Michelle aka whimsey. What a fun gallery full of variety. I finally choose this Scribbled Circles and leaves creation to case. I kept a flower theme, the colors, sequins accents and the white space. I changed the punch to a stamp, added a die cut edge and some sparkle. Enjoy your week Michelle!

The yellow and pink flowers were calling my name once I saw Michelle's card. I used Everything's Rosy for my stamp and colored them with Copic markers. When the card is closed behind this die cut edge on the bottom is some soft pink designer paper you will see. This will be another note card added to set I mentioned on Friday. Just a few little accents with the sparkle and the sequins and voila! Have a wonderful day.

Hello lavendar roses

Good morning! Did you see the new release this week from the Instant Garden collection at Power Poppy? Talk about awesome!!!

This is called Everything's Rosy! A must have for your collection if I do say so myself. One of the girls asked for a pack of note cards and this will be one of them I have for her set. I do ADORE this image from our flower whisper.  ;-)

I know I mentioned this on Tuesday but I do like coloring these petals. I went with a purple color theme for this card with just a strip of designer paper at the bottom. Leslie created a set of cards with this idea that I thought was cute. You can see her cards that inspired me here. For the top I added a Spellbinders die cut edge with a jeweled center. The petals do have some suduko gel pen added to them for sparkle, yet hard to see in the picture. However this does look really cool in person. I think she is going to like this card. Voila!

Everything's Rosy

Happy Tuesday! Today is the newest Instant Garden release at Power Poppy called Everything's Rosy. Isn't it just gorgeous? Marcy has a way with flowers I tell you, maybe we should call her the flower whisper? hee hee  Be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for the blog roll of everyone's creations today. You won't want to miss all the fabulous creativity!

These roses are wonderful to color and the cups they are in just make it that extra special. At the boys practices I have been coloring like mad. This was the feminine feel I was thinking about when I colored this one. Something about soft pink and white make me think purity and feminine. My cards tend to have the die cuts at the bottom of the card panel so I thought why not shake it up and put it at the top. Oh... I do like how this looks, how about you? To enhance the die cut my inside panel has a pink panel to match the layer behind the image panel. These roses are colored with a variety of Copic markers and some sparkle added to the petals. Just a few scattered jewels and a scored border as the accents for this card. Voila!
Be sure to check out the Power and Spark challenge we have going on this month and play along! Have a wonderful day.

Glamours 15th Brithday

Good morning. One of the girls requested a few special cards for events coming up and one is a 15th birthday along with gold and black colors. I had to dig around and find this stamp set for her, I almost forgot I had this stamp. She remembered the set I did for a birthday party years ago using Glamour Girls (a retired set) and thought it was perfect. The base is pretty simple with some designer paper and a die cut Spellbinders edge at the bottom.

She is stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Her hat (if that is what you would call it) has some seduko gel pen for shimmer and shine along with the wrist pearls. To add some gold touches as she suggested, I Die cut the numbers and a Spellbinders frame with the gold. Added some flourishes jewels for the background and voila! Happy 15th.  ;-)  Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the newest Instant Garden-Digital release from Power Poppy!

FS467 Thank You

This weeks Featured Stamper 467 is Minnur. Very creative gallery. I choose this Folded card 3 to case. Kept the flower theme, thinner style, and similar background. Changed the flowers to a stamp, added a sentiment, added a button and twine, sponge stenciled matching background and removed the ribbon. Enjoy your week!

I just got this stencil called Pointed Star from Jenny Bowlin recently which was very similar to the designer paper she used. Only partially sponged the background and I like how it turned out. My flower is from So Grateful that I stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Then I delicately cut around the image, surprise...surprise and popped some dimensionals on the back before I adhered it to the card base. Placed my button and twine combo in the bottom corner next to my sentiment. Then a few jewels and some sparkles to top it off, Voila!
Hope you have time to stamp today and have a wonderful day!

Popping in blue

Happy Friday! Our little break from sports and activities is officially over. We not only are in AAU Basketball, but the HS coach asked if the boys would be willing to come to a quarterback and running back training once a week. We were not sure if the boys wanted to play football in high school but since the coach was asking that sort of sealed the deal.  ;-)  They started last Sunday and what a training camp! It is put on by a few former NFL players and a training company that works with the HS in the summer at a camp they attend. Needless to say it is super cool and they loved the first week. They might be the only 8th graders in the bunch of 60 boys, but they are just as tall and big as most of them so they fit in perfect. Then of course all the basketball practices... it is fast and furious once again. They are happy and busy so I guess all is good?!?!  Mom is a little tired but hey, that is what keeps me young. LOL Anyways....

Have you checked out the Power and Spark challenge yet this month and played along? It is found HERE with the link list so we can see your creation. I was in a color mood of blue hues and went with it. I stamped out the beautiful Poppies onto white cardstock for my creation.

I colored the blooms with various Copic markers and a simple scored border around the edge. Added a faux stitching to the designer paper and wrapped some crochet lace and ribbon tied into a bow. Final touches of course is the scattered pearls and some sparkle. Very simple design and just what I needed! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! We have a double header tomorrow for the boys basketball, wish them luck!

Soft vellum Hellebores

Good morning!  I could not resist creating with the beautiful Hellebores again. They are just so beautiful and the variety is amazing. These are a bit on the softer side since I printed them first on vellum paper then on the cardstock. I colored the blooms from the backside of the vellum to give them that softer feel. Adhered the vellum over the printed cardstock print and added a Spellbinders die cut panel edge to the top to hold part of my sentiment.

A bit of scrap designer paper to the edge panel and a few enamel dots to the vellum. I did add some sparkle to the stems leaves for a final touch on the vellum which you can actually see in the photo. Yea! Maybe vellum cardstock is the trick with sparkles and me. ha ha!!  Who knows! I really like the what the softness comes out using the vellum paper. Thank you for stopping by today, hope you have a wonderful day!

Ali's 30th Birthday

Good morning. You are probably thinking this is not a "normal" 30th birthday card? Well the person this is for happens to LOVE and I mean LOVE giraffe's. This is perfect for Ali. She just recently finished a 8 month pack backing trip across the Europe and Africa with her husband. Yes they decided one week that they needed to take a leave from their jobs and backpack across part of the globe. ACK!!! They knew if they did not do this now before children they would never get to do it. So they each oacked one backpack, GASP!!! and headed off.  They blogged about all the places they were travelling to each week for us. WOW! They saw some AMAZING places and some scary places, yikes. What and adventure!!! I lived vicariously through their blog. hee hee  That is something that is WAY OUT of my comfort zone ladies.  :-)  Anyways... this card is for Ali!

This also gave me the excuse to get this digital giraffe that I have wanted for a long time from Mo's Digital pencil called G-Fa Giraffe. After he was printed on white cardstock I colored him with various Copic markers. Scored a border around the edge and added my birthday sentiment to the right. Die cut the 30 with a retired WOJ die light and added sparkles to the arrow and number tag. A few sequins and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila! I know she is going to just love this and that is what makes me happy.  :-)  Thanks for coming by today. Have a wonderful day.

FS466 Butterfly Birthday

This weeks Featured Stamper 466 is Gunilla aka gunilla.holmqvist. A very elegant and sweet style of creations to choose from. I cased this Instead of Flowers card to case. Kept the butterfly theme, color theme, square card, distressing and stitching. Changed the squares to an oval, moved the butterflies around, added vellum and jewels. My stitching is fake unlike her beautiful stitching she added. Enjoy your week Gunilla!

My creation uses the beautiful Majestic Monarchs as I do love these butterflies. They are stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Once colored I delicately cut around the edges so that I could pop them up on the card. My designer paper is from an older pack of paper called Baby Mine from Carta Bella. Yes I need to use what designer paper I have since I tend to not use much yet I continue to buy it??? ha ha  Before they were adhered together pulled out my distressing tool for the edges and added some faux stitching. Adhered to the card base and added an oval instead of the squares in her creation.

Since the wings are spread out the easiest way to keep them from going flat is to make a box instead of having this in an envelope. So I created a square box to hold the card.  :-)  You can check out my square box tutorial that I did a few months back if you wanted to make your own. This one is a half inch smaller than the tutorial but either one work to hold a square card. The sentiment is from a retired Flourishes stamp set. Finished it off with some sparkles on the butterflies and a few jewels. Voila! I hope you can find sometime to stamp today! Have wonderful day.

Tall and thank you

Good morning and happy Friday! Over at Power Poppy we are issuing in our first challenge of the year. How exciting! Our host this month is the talented Tosha with a tall and thin card AND a new technique or something new to you.

I hope you will join us again this year of some fun challenges. Remember to link your creations over on the Power Poppy Blog

Tall and thin cards are so nice and I forget they are fun to make. Wondering what my new is? Well how about a new year and a new challenge? I totally forgot about the new part when I was creating. Yikes!!! Now don't you go forgetting or I will be in trouble.  :-)
I started with a die cut Spellbinders edge at the bottom since I knew I wanted the fancy edge. Then to pick the flowers... Fresh bouquet of color was needed with our snowy driveway and yard we have had lately. hee hee So I went with Countryside Bouquet Deluxe stamp. Stamped them on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. A simple vellum panel with my sentiment and a few enamel dots. Oh and yes of course, the sparkle on the green stems for a final touch. Voila! Hope you enjoyed my tall and thin card today. Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Welcome Hellebores

Good morning! Today is the first Instant Garden release of 2016! Are you as excited as I am for the new designs Marcy is going to show us this year? You should be! ;-)  This beautiful flower is called Hellebores. A few other names it is referred to are Christmas Rose and Lenten Rose.

Very interesting facts behind this flower and the hybrids are fantastic. Google it sometime and see what comes up, you will appreciate the variety. Hellebores can be found in the store NOW

My card today is on the softer side and a birthday card. Several coming up that I need to work on along with more thank you cards. The petals are colored with Copic markers with just a hint of sparkle added to the leaves when done. Some faux stitching around the border of the designer paper pack called Blushing Rose. Wrapped some lace trim and matching ribbon around the center. Finished it off with a few scattered pearls and a few for the corner. Voila!

You will find a full list of the talented ladies creations over on the Power Poppy Blog! Enjoy!

FS465 Sweet smells

This weeks Featured Stamper 465 is Kathy aka Kathy LeDonne. What a sweet gallery and even sweeter person. I choose this Nose to Nose card to case for obvious reasons.  :-)  I kept with the same colors, two mice, similar flowers and changed the rest. Congrats and enjoy your week!

These mice are just so sweet and I love coloring them. I stamped this House Mouse called  Lavendar Dreams onto white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I just love this shimmery purple cardstock! Die cut a Spellbinders edge to the bottom and added some textured circles to the back panel. Finished it off with a few silver pearls and some stickles. Voila!

Bring on 2016

Happy 2016! Can you believe it the new year is here and ready for what awaits. The Dirty Dozen Christmas challenges are ready for the new year as well. The January challenge is called Just keep wrapping, just keep wrapping. You can find all the details and post your creation in the Dirty Dozen Forum HERE. Happy Stamping!

It should be no surprise to you that I have snowman Christmas wrap as I adore them. This paper is double sided and this side has all the tiny postage stamp like ones on it. I die cut them using a stitched rectangle die. The back panel has textured snowflakes that I added a bunch of sparkles too along with the snowflakes in the snowman panels. A die cut snowflake in the shimmery paper and my sentiment. Voila! Happy 2016!
