Peony love

Friday is here and what a weekend we have planned. How about you? Before the craziness starts for me I finally got to finish my card using Peony Love that was released. Aaaahhh... Isn't this wreath just awesome! Two of my favorites Peonies and a wreath....

Mother's day is passed but I think this would work for an everyday card to send to mom, don't you think? One of  my stamping hero's is the awesome Miss Leslie. After I had this wreath all colored I happen to be on her blog, and saw her Tulips card. GASP!!! My purples don't even compare to hers and I almost didn't post this. However, she would encourage me to regardless, so here it is. ;-)  You can say Leslie inspired the finishing design to my card.  My blooms are colored in various Copic markers. I added a tinge of yellow to the tops of some of the petals for fun, because with markers you can do whatever you want.  ;-)   The base designer paper has some faux stitching around the edges and then topped off the blooms with some sparkle. Voila! Still have time to play in our Power and Spark challenge called May Flowers. Check it out and play along.

Wow! this is gorgeous Stacy! I love the colours of your flowers, layout, papers and finishing touches! Yes Miss Leslie's tulip card is gorgeous but so is yours. You have just used a different series of purple copics, more on the mulberry side which I think is stunning! I agree this 'mom' card can be used for more than just Mother's Day. Your colouring and shading always 'wow' me, fabulous card!

Well, as you know, you continually inspire me and here you go again. You always do amazing coloring and you make it look so effortless. If only I could color this quality as quickly as you do, sigh... You're too sweet, Stacy. Yes, this would make a great card for a mom any day of the year. I have yet to color this wreath, still so far behind.

Oh, Stac, you don't ever have to worry about your coloring, girl!! I LOVE this wreath and how you've colored it, and wow, the shade you've used is fabulous! It's a mauvy lavender that is really dreamy! And I love the DP you've used with the mat and card base. Beautifully done with the pearls. And you're right that this is perfect to send your mom anytime to tell her how much you love her! Mother's Day should be every day. Love it, and your work is amazing! Hugs, sweet friend, and have a wonderful weekend! xoxo
