Rose of gray

Happy Friday! Basketball season has been super busy as of late with four to three games a week. Stamping has been a challenge not to mention creativity. Marcy's Instant Garden digi that came out on the 15th called Rose All Day sure looked enticing to color. My thought on the colors didn't come out white like I planned, however I do like the end result.

The original thought was to color this is shades of grey and soft pink. So I started with coloring it all grey and adding some darker areas of grey. Then I started with the pink on the rose and changed my mind to subtle yellows, purples and green. My thought was like in the morning when the sun comes up everything is dark but more things start to turn to color as you see light. If that makes any sense to anyone else. ha ha
I die cut a portion of the image using and oval and matching decorative oval from Spellinders. Just a hint of sparkle was added to the lavender flowers to tie into the purple ribbon and bow. Some chicken wire texture for the background and some grey pearls to finish it off. Voila!

Whoa, that's a lot of games! I've said it before... that's why we have kids while we're young. Stacy, this card is amazing. I'm a little agog at your coloring and your thought process. I totally understand. Oh, my word, the gray with that little bit of purple-rose emerging, and the yellow... striking and immensely beautiful!

You surely had a full calendar of games...I don't know how you do it all...and make gorgeous cards! this is stunning, and I love the colors! And your layout with the embossing and decorative oval die are beautiful. And of course I love the seam binding bow!! Stunning!! Hugs! (Now I hope you are getting SOME rest!)
