Tea and cake thank you

Good morning. This is another card I made a few weeks ago and just now am editing. I now know why I wasn't going to post this as the sentiment is a little blurry. We all make mistakes when stamping it is just part of the hobby. I think it turned out cute regardless. I will make sure that one of my sisters get's this card as they won't judge me on the blurry sentiment. In real life it doesn't look too bad just in the photo.

This stamp set is called Tea in the Garden. I colored the image with various Copic markers and used some of the designer paper in the pile for my color choices. A little bit of piercing around the edges of the base panels and a few enamel dots complete the card. Voila! Hope you are having a good day.

Large bloom alert

Morning! Don't you just love large blooms? I made this a few weeks ago actually and just now am editing it to post up. The person that this is for loves pink and the Poppy XL was the perfect flower for the card.  A simple design as the flower is large and takes most of the design space. Which is great for quick cards might I add. :-)

Added some piercing around the edge of the image panel. Layered some designer paper on the white base layer. Stamped my thank you sentiment and die cut with a circle. Added bakers twine around the edge and some sparkle and a Candi dot. Voila!

Daisy notecard

Sunshine and happy Friday! Oh this makes me want to just smile and turned out just as I thought it would. I actually colored with image while sitting on a conference call a week or so ago. Who says working from home is a bad thing? ha ha  At this point I am just happy that I was able to get some coloring in. I am using more of the designer paper from that Wild Rose pack I had found. That was my color inspiration using Follow Your Heart

Colored with various Copic markers then cut around as I wanted to pop this up on dimensionals. The base has some texture with the swiss dots embossing folder. Added a scallop die cut edge to the designer paper and added to the base. Just a simple note card today. Voila!

Giant hug

Do you have days where the card jut didn't turn out like you thought it would? Well this is one of my days. In my head this was going to be rather springy and light feeling. Instead it turned very vibrant and summer like feeling. Not that it is a bad thing but I was thinking spring and summer came out to play instead. haha

This is using Always Here stamp set. The orange blossom is what turned it to summer right out the gates. i had it way too rich feeling so then I had to switch the background designer paper from the soft yellow paper to a more summer yellow sheet. Then the pink flowers got a little muddled again. what is my problem with pinks lately? ugh! Never mind my grumbling.... Stamped my sentiment and die cut but sponged before I removed the die for some color. A few pearls and some sparkles to finish it off. Voila!

Berry thankful

I did get to another mouse card as you can see. Since I colored up a few of them I just needed to get them into cards. Sometimes that is always more work than just coloring them. hee hee  Very easy peasy with this one though.

Added a scallop edge to the designer paper on the base. A few die cut hearts in various shapes from a retired die. A few pearls and voila! A sweet thank you card done.

You are fabulous beauty

Good morning! It is beautiful outside today so I plan to get the patio cleaned off and maybe try to get another book read over the weekend. I had sitting on the desk 5 books and now I am down to 3. Yea! No need to worry as I have 2 more on the way in the mail. Been able to catch up on much needed reading with this Stay at Home stuff.  :-)

This is using Bowl of Beauty digital without the bowl in the set. These flowers make me smile they are cheerful I think. They are colored with various Copic markers. Then layered onto some designer papers. Wrapped just a little bit of lace trim and sheer ribbon around the middle. A few enamel dots and some sparkles to all the leaves. Voila!

You brighten my day

Happy Wednesday! This stamp is one I got for being a guest designer a long time ago called Uptown girl Fiona loves Flowers. She is super cute and fun. This is more of the paper from Wild Rose that I was talking about Monday. :-)

She is colored with various Copic markers. I have a hint of sparkle in the center of each flower but its hard to see in the photo. Added a scallop edge to the purple base of her panel. A button and twine to tie off my sentiment which is from a retired set. Voila!

Mice Showers

Morning! We had a rough last week with the stay at home extension till May 4th, they then cancelled school for the year. We were all rather upset since it is the boys senior year. They are going to miss so much from the cancellation, prom, baseball, senior trip and possibly graduation. Graduation is the one thing that might still be salvaged as they can do it later in June if we have to. Still working on the details of that so I am praying and hopeful. They have put so much time and energy into the school these last few years, not to mention John and myself. Last week was just a hard week. The positive news is the boys are able to add 2 more classes for Running Start which means they will graduate in Dec with a full AA Degree rather than the following May. So that not only saved money it brings the  degree a quarter sooner. Look for the good stuff in all this craziness. Spent the day in the kitchen on Friday making cinnamon rolls and a few dozen different cookies rolled into balls for the freezer and rainy days. Felt good to have some control over something lately. Anyways...

I did get to color this weekend to try and help my mood.  :-) This week you will see a lot of purple infused cards. Why? Because I found digging through my paper packs a Wild Rose pack that I totally forgot I had and it has a lot of lavender in the stack. :-)  When I created my Christmas card for the DD the other day using House Mouse I found a few others to play with too.
These guys are called Summer Showers on the block but I can't find it on the Stampendous site so it must be retired also. They are colored with Copic markers and then layered on some layers. The base is dry embossed with a leafy folder. Added some sequins and sparkles to the water coming out of the can. So fun to color these guys, I sure miss them. Don't worry I have a few more colored that I will try to get into cards soon. Have a great day.

Plant Kindness

Good morning. How about some raspberries today? I wish they were in season but they are not so I have to use paper ones. Not the same I know.  ;-)  This is using Summer Berries for my card today. They are colored with various Copic markers then a simple score around the border.

Added a scallop edge to the scrap piece of designer paper I added to the base. A few dimensionals to pop the image panel up and some scattered enamel dots and sparkles. Voila!

Rosey birthday

This birthday card is using Go Wild which is currently on sale by the way.  ;-)  For my colors i knew I wanted a pink so I went through my designer papers and found this rose one from an ODBD paper pack. My flowers colored and then layered onto some light purple card stock.

The pink base has some swiss dots textures added and then my designer paper. Wrapped some lace trim and purple ribbon around the layers. Then a die cut with a button twine accent and some sparkle. Voila! Another birthday card down. My stash is starting to have some bulk to it. Yea! Hope you have a great day.

Happiest Wishes baby

This card is using stamp set Precious Baby again and this one is more of a neutral baby card. I tried with the other and well it ended up being more a boy card I know. Not sure it turned out like I had imagined it in my head, but its sweet either way I think.

Stamped the image and colored with various Copic markers. Added a few rounded corners and stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner. The tiny scallop edge was a must with some ribbon and tiny buttons to finish it off.  Voila!

Day of blooms

Good morning! Week three of our quarantine down and only 4 more to go or should I say 5 as our governor just extended the time last night. This week's blessing was found in small ways with a few refunds that we did not expect and an event that we were going to in May is rescheduled for August. Boys have been practicing ball out back trying to keep the arms warm for baseball as we are hopeful to have at least one or two games when they return. God is good and we are so thankful! Hopefully you are adjusting also and seeing blessings big and small.

Lovely Tulips (on SALE right now) is the stamp set I used for this creation today. I knew that purple and yellow would be my color choice and this designer paper was on the desk so it worked out perfectly. My base layer has some swiss dots added for texture.
Wrapped some bakers twine around the bottom of the base panel. Just a few Candi dot accents and some sparkles on the blooms. Voila

April joys

Morning and welcome to the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge for April. That's right we are a few months into the year, how are you on those cards? Right now we all have a lot of time to color so why not Christmas cards? This months challenge can be found HERE. Hope you join in our fun.

This stamp set fell out of the bin when I was trying to determine which House Mouse stamp to use. Pretty sure this is retired as I don't even find it on the Stampendous site, sorry. My designer paper is from an old pack of paper that had similar colors for what I was going for. Layered some ribbon along the bottom of the card and a few enamel dots accents. The marshmallows have sparkle added to them and then a few die cut snowflakes for the corner. Voila!
