I am going to show you one of the sets today. This is called Beer Guzzlin Gus and he is a fun. I actually like this set for a few of our friends who razz me about the beer and what not they drink. One is over seas right now serving our country and I know he will get a kick out of the sentiments in this set, so I kept this fairly simple for him. I used the TS Monday challenge for my colors. Did you know that we post a new challenge every Monday? Be sure to check it out! I have added liquid glass to his glasses and I used a few spellbinders for framing. Now Jason who I am sending this to had a little beer gut before he left, however 10 months later he is probably not so flabby as he says. bawhaha

Now head on over to Vicki's Blog for your next stop!
If you get lost along the way here is the line up for the blog hop:

For Aaron's Unit

Is this hawg just fun or what? This set is called Road Hawg from Totally Stampalicious. This is for the TS Monday challenge and Paper Sundaes Masculine color challenge. When I was commenting over on SCS the other day I came across a woman who was making a card to her DH who is serving over seas. I commented on her card for him, I then asked her to thank him for his service to our country along with her service and sacrifice she is making for our safety here at home. I offered to send him a card and say some prayers. She was very kind and gave me his address and said some happy mail would be great. I know it doesn't sound like much but a simple thank you goes farther than we know and I try to make a point of it often. So I am sending him this hawg in hopes to make him and his unit smile. ;0) I added some liquid glass to the bike for a good shine. hee hee I hope they get a kick out of this card.
Be sure to check back on Friday, Flourishes is having a special Blog Hop! Thanks for stopping in today!

Rooms are FINISHED!!!

All three rooms are officially moved and done! yea!!! Here is a front view of my new stamping area/computer office area. I am sharing this desk with our office stuff as you can see. Now its a bit cluttered but I had to get stuff off the floor. I have twice the shelves on top and twice the desk space now. Behind me is the Safe, Doggie bed and the bookshelves.
This is the left side of the desk. Look I have room to have my Grand Caliber out and cuttlebug. Whohoo... So exciting. Nothing is on the floor, we a bit is but not as much as before. Now ranger has much more space to sleep under. ha ha

This is the left side and all my bins that hold my stamps. Yep too many is what your thinking. I even went through them and gave a bin full to a friends daughter. I decided to keep the laptop on the table also for my bloggin and web surfin. You never know what virus is out there and the new computer is not going to get it from my bloggin! :0) I am just so glad its all done. The rest of the room is a mess so I didn't show it to you. lol The boys are thrilled with their own rooms. So worth all the work and effort I say!

Pharaoh's Frogs

The Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week is to use green in your creations. This is from the scripture Exodus with Pharaoh and the frog plague. Now Peggy had a great thought on what he was thinking in asking Moses to pray and have the frogs removed tomorrow. I wonder and pondered that request. I would hope that I could be strong and ask him to remove them right now, but I am sure my flesh would of asked for the next day also. It is a good read if you have a minute and it gives you the chance to stamp while you ponder it all.
I made two quick creations. this first one is I thought this little bee would be just too cute in a grassy field by himself. This is from Sentimental Flowers from CDS. I sponged some clouds and added the flowers with the sentiment banner.
This one is again very simple with the flowers stamped and popped up on dimensionals with the sentiment underneath. Very clean and crisp feeling. I did add some pearls at the end just because. We got the rooms all moved and my new desk added to the old one. I will have a photo later tomorrow! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Help For katie Blog Hop!!!

Today is a blog hop dedicated to our very own Katie. Katie is known on the Clear Dollar Stamps blog for her fabulous Tuesday Tutorials, and she has inspired us all with her talent and creativity.
Why a blog hop for Katie?Katie has been diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer. You can follow her story here on Katie's blog. Katie is journaling her journey and sharing it with us all. A very courageous and generous giving of herself to all of us who can find inspiration through her strength. We love you Katie!
What are we doing to help Katie? We, Katie's crafty family, have set up a blog just for her and our efforts to help her. The blog is called Help 4 Katie. When something like this hits a family, you just want to do something. Many, many have already helped Katie through our initial fund raising efforts at Jak Heath's blog. We thank you so much for all of your contributions to Katie. As we all know, medical treatment for cancer can be quite costly and we want to make sure that she has the absolute best! As of today, we are moving our efforts to a dedicated blog just for Katie.
What we have been doing is taking Digital Image donations from many generous artists in our crafting community, packaging them into a grouping, and then asking for a donation to receive these digi images. The first set of images come with a donation of $20, and are now available on Katie's new blog.
We have put together a second package for Katie to help raise funds to fight this cancer! This set of digital images has been donated to Katie. You can get this entire set of digis for only $15! The entire $15 goes to Katie and her family to help her fight this cancer! Please check out Katie's New Blog For all the details on the prizes and donating!

If you just came from Sarah's blog you are in the right spot. If you are just joining us head on over to the Lori's blog to start your hop! I used my Patchpal Giraffe for my card today. I am still not into the Digi world yet mostly because of our darn printer. One day though... ha ha I made a darling baby card with a little charm that I got long ago. Kept this very simple and sweet. I just adore this little giraffe patchpal. The baby sentiment is from the Patchpal sentiments.

Your next stop in Help for Katie Blog Hop is over to Cassie's Blog! Have a wonderful day!

Spring wishes

Friday yeah! We have a 4 day weekend in our house so as you know we are taking advantage of that time and reorganizing 3 of the bedrooms in the house. Needless to say I am tired from packing up 3 rooms the last 2 days. I see progress though and hope its done soon. Today is a free for all over on Flourishes Blog. I thought I would show you a springy card since we are all wishing for the lovely spring weather right about now. Celebrating Spring would fit this months DD theme I think. This gorgeous flower is from Hello Hyacinth. I have the panel popped up on dimensionals, added one of the sentiments for a larger panel over all. See more buttons... I am loving them more now that I find ways to use them. ha ha The water in the jar has some liquid glass on it to make it look wet but hard to tell in my photo.

Be sure to check out the wonderful creations from the DT:

Easter Freshness

I can't believe it is Wednesday already, this week sure is flying by. Been at the boys school a lot this week and that is probably why it seems like it is going fast. Young Authors is this week and they get so show all their hard work they have been working on. It's always so nice to see the stories and illustrations they make and how they have grown from last year.

Soon Easter will be here and I am getting ahead of the game once again. I need to finish up mine to send out so that when I make the ones for the girls at DH work I won't feel so behind. This egg is awesome its from You're Eggs-traordinary at Clear Dollar Stamps. I have colored the egg with copics and then cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals. I added three ribbons and a bit of swiss dots texturing at the bottom. Simple as can be but I love how the color just pops out at you with the white. What a surprise coming from me. ha ha If you have a Cricut Machine you will want to check out the new card files kit or SVG files that CDS has. You can read all about it HERE and HERE. Plus for you Digi lovers out there the new Digi's for CDS are available!
Well I have to start tearing down these three rooms today for Friday's big move. Yep we are moving my stamping room (sniff sniff) into the office with the puppy, computer etc. and giving the boys their own rooms. One of the big decisions we made when we decided not to sell the house. So lots of work for a 4 day weekend! EEK... Let's just pray that the rooms move without any problems. That includes taking down the stamping desk they built me awhile ago, moving it and making it bigger in the office. Ranger won't mind sharing with me, infact he will have a bigger desk to sprawl out under while I stamp. hee hee I will have a post on Friday for you since I had to work ahead. :0) Wish me luck! Hope you have a wonderful day today!
