3x3 Glory gift

Happy Tuesday! Yep only the second day into the week, don't worry Friday will be here soon. Have a little gift set for you using Glory from Our Daily Bread designs today. I bought these 3x3 craft cards and envelopes in the $1 dollar bin at Michael's last week. They make for some quick gift sets of cards for the teachers. I stamped the Glory flower into the edges of each card and colored with Copic markers. Added a single jewel to the corner of the scripture and voila! The flowers do all the work I tell you. Hope you have a great day!

Standard A2 Gift box tutorial

Supplies

Card stock, adhesive, decorative die, score tool, scissors.

Step 1

Cut a piece of card stock 6 1/4 inches width by 8 1/4 inches length. Score 1 inch on all 4 sides. Pre-fold and snip ends as shown. Add adhesive. This is will be the box base

Step 2

Fold in the snipped edge and secure. This is with one side secured. Secure the other side to form box base. Set aside

Step 3

For the box lid, cut a piece of card stock 6 1/2 inches width by 8 1/2 inches length. Score 1 inch on all four sides and snip the ends just as we did with the base. If you desire a window in your box as I have you will cut that window before you do anything else. Here I have Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die for my window. Secure your die to the front with a piece of tape and die cut

Step 4

Turn lid over and add adhesive to the inside for the clear sheet of acetate paper. This way you can see the pretty cards through the box lid. Makes for great presentation. Fold the box sides in as you did with the base and secure

Step 5

Here is the gift box complete. Decorate as desired.

Step 6

Here is a picture of my box with the cards inside and with them displayed. I wrapped some lace trim around the box and added the same jewel to the corners of the box lid. The flowers are called Peonies and Tulips from Power Poppy. Enjoy

Mini High heels

Good morning! A fun project to share with you today. It's a mini high heel.  :-)  In the past I have used made some of the larger high heels that hold a full size candy bar. I created my own template of a Mini Heel to hold the snack size bars. How fun is that!  Great gift for some of my friends.

My complete Mini Heel tutorial and template for you, when you would like to create your own. The double sided card stock gives a fun appeal when its empty. The flowers are from my sweet friend Pat. What a fun gift right. Several of the girls will be getting these this mother's day. Hope you check out the tutorial. Have a great day!

Christmas Wreath

Happy Saturday! I don't know about you but this beautiful 75 degree weather is calling my name. Yippee!!  I was a little late in posting the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge this month as I forgot the day it was. ACK!! It is up and its all about wreaths. I created a wreath using the Die-Light Berry Wreath. I have the die layered twice for fun. Tied my sentiment from the Winter 2014 kit into the wreath with a few red primas my friend Pat made me. Voila!  Hope you can play along this month. Now off to the beautiful outdoors! Have a great weekend!

On to my project...
I am working on Mother's day cards and gift sets not only for me but a few of the girls at my husbands work. What is Mother's day without some flowers, right?  ;-)    So the above picture is one of the cards and the Standard Box that I use for gift sets. This one has a see through window so you can see inside the beautiful creations ready to be used. The window is with acetate paper. I have a tutorial on how I made this Standard Box for you if you would like to create your own. Check it out HERE.

Here is a picture of the cards inside the box and you can see what the presentation looks like. The jewels on the outside of the box match the top card in the set. Peonies is the main flower in this gift set. Colored with Copic Markers and die cut using Spellbinders Ovals. I also added some faux stitching along the edges and a Spellbinders A2 Scallop Borders Three side design.

Above is the card close up. Simple yet beautiful I think. Thanks for joining me today. Be sure to check back as I have more projects to share. Have a wonderful day!

ODBD May Release

**This is my second post today. Please scroll down for the Power Poppy Post** Thank you!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread designs May release. We have lots of new goodies to share with you this month. You can check out the ODBD blog for more details and a link list of all the new goodies. Onto my creations today. Well the first one is a favorite of mine as it is blue and white for starters. :-)  I am using stamp set Carried To Heaven that is stamped on white card stock and die cut with the new ODBD Custom Vintage Labels die. Added dimensionals to the back so it is popped up over my Quaterfoil pattern ODBD Custom die back ground. Wrapped some blue seam binding around the layers and tied into a bow. Added some white flourished pearls and voila!

Next up is Glory. Oh my... These flowers are beautiful and so easy to color. I stamped the Glory image into the corner and colored with Copic markers. Stamped my sentiment and die cut using Vintage Labels ODBD Custom die and sponged some yellow ink before I removed the die. Tied some seam binding ribbon into a bow and voila!

Wishing you a day with Power Poppy

Happy Release day! Actually each of the new Digi's from Power Poppy have been available each day if you tuned in with us. We wanted you to have instant access to these beautiful florals! In fact we are so excited about these we have some fun lined up for you this month.  During the whole month of May, we'll not only share ideas on how to use these beauties, but we'll also give those who purchase them extra ways to win some Power Poppy goodies! Each Friday during May, we'll usher in challenges designed around our new and beautiful digi images!

My creation today is using the new Gladioli. Isn't it wonderful? I went with a skewed sketch for my card today. I die cut the flowers with a circle once they were colored. Layered onto a Spellbinders Decorative labels One die shape. I added some crochet ribbon and seam binding then tied a bow for the base. Added some flourished rhinestones and my sentiment. Voila!
