Gone Fishing Today

Don't we all wish we had a sign to hang up when we wanted to say gone fishing, or stamping in some cases? ha!  Another fun sneak peek for the new Digi coming out from Whiff Of Joy Stamps called Little Fisherman. I have stamped him onto classic white cardstock with memento tuxedo black ink. Layered him just onto some designer paper from the scrap bin.

My main frame is using Spellbinders Resplendant rectangles in brillant blue cardstock. Added the fun Scallop Swirls Die-Light to the bottom as if he is walking along it on the path. I think the button on my Vintage Camera Die-Light is a bit bigger than I planned however doesn't look too bad, right? Some twine to wrap around the bottom and three buttons in the corner. Voila!

My creation today is one I made for Shelley. She works at our local post office and is such a sweet lady who knows me very well from coming in with packages to mail all the time. hee hee  We have chatted quite a bit and she is super sweet. I wanted to brighten her day with a fun little card so I grabbed the favorite new set of mine called Glamour Girls. Whohoo! Told you I had a few of these up my sleeves lately. HA!  She is stamped onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
Colored with copic collections:

Now this is WAY over kill for me on layers and design but hey its good to step out there once in awhile.  ;0)   I have die cut her with Spellbinders classic ovals that I layered onto our perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die.

Then a few layers of cardstock from the fun paper Carta Bella True Friends pack. My solid cardstock is from two of our Color Made Easy Collections Candy Pink and Pistachio. My ribbon has three layers a white lace trim, a green butterfly lace trim and our Color Made Easy Candy Pink Aster tied into a bow with some jute twine and a soft pink button. Fun paper doily for the side and lots of flourished pearls for bling. Oh yea.... I can't wait till she opens this card, as I love how it turned out over filled and all! HA!
Now hop on over to the ever so talented Miss Cindy.
Thanks for hopping along with us today! Have a wonderful day!

WOJ #154 and beach fun

The Whiff Of Joy Blog challenge #154 is anything but a card. Be sure to check out the blog for all the details. We have a few friends that have pool's that are always inviting the kids over to swim. This year I wanted to have a fun gift idea to bring as a thank you instead of just always a bowl of snacks or plate. I created a fun little cookie clear bag with this adorable Diver Henry. The thing I have noticed lately on cards is this Die-Light Scalloped Swirls border looks like waves so I punched a few out and added them to the top to look like he is under the water with some sparkle. My sentiment is layered on our Tickets Die-Light. How fun is that?

I have another creation to share today also. This is a sneak peek at a new Digi coming out May 17th called Fun at the beach. Isn't he just adorable? Oh my word... I have a few pictures of the twins on the beach just like this. Aww.. memories I tell ya.
This is a Digi image and as you know I am unable to print them on my machine. However I did have a friend print these out for me in exchange for some cookies. Works for me! I sponged some clouds in the background and I also added some silver brads to my clouds that I punched out. He is colored with various copic markers. My little star fish charm is tied off with some twine. The designer paper is from My Minds Eye Boy Crazy paper pack, easy peasy today. Be sure to check out the creations from the Design Team today:

FS327 Birthday Balloons

Happy Mother's Day! Hope you are having a wonderful day with your families.

This weeks Featured Stamper 327 is Silli aka Silke. Full of fun and creations for all ages. I am in need of a kid birthday creation so I choose this birthday card to case. Kept the layout, a birthday card and a balloon image. Changed the stamp to this fun one called Clown. He is perfect for birthdays and my sentiment is from Magical Wishes. Added the fun Lovely Doily Die-light to the back and some ribbon with tiny buttons instead of pearls. The balloons have sparkle on them as well. Very colorful and cheerful so perfect for a birthday. Hope you can play along this week! Have a great day.

Fishing Date

Happy Saturday! I hope you have a fun weekend planned or a relaxing one at that. Ours will be relaxing as my son is not feeling well still. The orthopedic yesterday had some good news for us so thankful. No surgery is needed and his break was not as bad as initially thought. So that is super good news. He will have all his stitches removed on the 20th. He will have a full nail on the one finger after several months. yea! Thank you so much for the prayers.

Now for my creation today. This darling image just makes me smile it is called First Date. hee hee How sweet is that? I have stamped the image onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink and colored with various copic markers. Kept with a pretty easy layout and added some of the fun Chevron Die-light to the edge and some bakers twine. The sentiment is from General Sayings 2.  Easy peasy today.
Whiff Of Joy is having a Mothers Day sale! Check it out!

The first thing I thought of when I saw Simply Charming was my boys and this sentiment. So I have created two cards to give to them in their lunches. This one I stamped the images from Sweet Days of Summer onto the designer paper My Minds Eye Boy Crazy using real red ink. I added some sparkle to the water they kids are splashing yet its hard to see in the photo.
My papers are from our Color Made Easy collections Poppy and Emerald Coast.

I used the heart charm with my sentiment and cut around it to add as a charm to the color made easy emerald coast teal blue ribbon bow I tied off with ivory jute. A few brads and voila! Nothing too girlie as the boys says, ribbon is okay the heart shape might be pushing it though. LOL
Come and be inspired by the Design Team's creativity with this set on their blogs, And today is your last chance to find the... Mystery Blogger Graphic

**Speaking of boys, can you please say a prayer for one of them. We spent Tuesday night in the ER with the twins as one of them laserated his fingers in his bike chain. He had to have stitches and we are going to an orthopedic doctor (same one his brother went to for his broken arm last fall) as he fractured his bone. They had to remove his finger nail on the one finger, luckily it was just below the nail bed that he cut his finger open there as his nail will grow back. He is in a lot of pain and I can only imagine how this has to feel. They want us to watch and make sure he does nto get an infection especially since the bone is fractured. A infection in the bone would be very very bad they said. So he is home still resting and eating ice cream, not that the pain is gone but he is comfortable at the moment. If you can please pray with us that he does not get an infection and that the Orthopedic has postive news for us today. Thanks!
