FMS372 Birthday mouse

Morning. How about a birthday House Mouse card to start your day. This guy was perfect for the sketch over on the Freshly Made Sketch blog  FMS372. This was my first time playing in their sketches and it was fun.

Very easy with this one. The mouse was called Eat Your Cake and Nap Too but not sure if its available anymore. He is colored with Copic markers and then a little piercing along the top and bottom edges. The cake is suppose to be a yellow cake with pink cream cheese frosting, but not sure in real life if this would be tasty looking. Sure does look cute with this guy though. ha!
My sentiment is stamped on vellum for that layer of the sketch and some pearls to hide the glue dots holding it in place. Voila!

Pretty in pink petals

My good intentions of stamping this weekend was hijacked with a jeeping trip with the hubby. Up in the mountains and SNOW. Oh my word that was so fun! Much more fun than the dusty trails in the summer. So not a lot of stamping but quality time with the hubby.  :-)

How about a birthday card I did earlier last week? This is from Abundant Petals with the matching die to the set. I wasn't sure where I was going with this card other than it needed to have lots of pink since the person it is for is a pink nut! :-)  I think I did it justice for her. Added some swiss dots texture to the base panel. Some designer papers in pink with white layers.
I  prefer to die cut the blooms out first and then I color the flowers. That seems to work better for me then if I mess up die cutting I didn't put all the work into the coloring. My faux stitching didn't go quite like I pictured because I am a dork, but hey its on there. A few sequins and some sparkles on the blooms. Voila!

You and Me Baby

Is this new digi awesome or what? This is My Favorite Pair from Marcy's new Instant Garden release earlier this week. I had fun coloring this up. The designer paper was my color choice for this creation today and I like how it turned out.

The designer paper is layered onto some cranberry card stock with some faux stitching around the edges. The image is colored with various Copic markers then die cut with a stitched rectangle. I die cut a few more hearts and arrows to add to the creation.
I think I might use this as either a valentine card for my hubby or anniversary card. hee hee  A little bit of sparkle is added to the ribbon and the hearts... Voila!  We only have one game this weekend so I am really excited to get into the stamp room and color up some creations this weekend. We will see if my grand plan works out or not.  ;-)

Soft floral sympathy for Mike

Morning. My creation today is a sympathy card. A friend of ours from my husbands previous job passed away this weekend. I can only imagine what Holly and the kids are going through right now.  It is very sad news to hear. Sympathy cards are always hard to make I think. This one is simple and soothing and sent with prayers.

I stamped the flower from Soothing Sympathy onto white card stock. Then took a watercolor brush and washed over the image after I stamped it to add a softer touch to the ink. Layered a few colors of gray and soft sea foam colored card stock. Wrapped some sheer ribbon around the base and added a few pearls. Voila. Thanks for stopping by today.

Mojo Monday birthday cupcake

Happy Monday! Hopefully you had a wonderful weekend and ready for another week.  :-) I did get some stamp time in this weekend I am happy to say. Need to work on more birthday cards as my stash is empty. EEK!

Played with the new Mojo Monday 507 sketch this weekend. My intent was to create a masculine birthday card using the sketch. I am not sure it turned out quite like I had planned. A birthday card for anyone I guess at this point. HA!  Here is a look at the sketch.

My papers are from a pack that is long gone for the most part and I don't have the front cover anymore. I liked the blue and browns in the sheets and figured they would be great for the sketch. I stamped the image from Under Glass onto white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. Die cut the circle and then layered the designer paper on the base. A few enamel dots and pearls and sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Single rose for my love

Good morning. I have another valentine card for you this week using My English Rose. Since I had the paper pack on the desk from my earlier card, I went ahead and used it again for this card. My rose is colored with various Copic markers and then delicately cut around so that I could pop it up on dimensionals. I know most of you think its crazy to do all that cutting, but I enjoy it.  :-)

The heart panel has a die heart edging before I added it to the base panel. Then I die cut a few hearts and arrows (more on the inside of the card) and some of the tiny hearts to scatter around the edges. Stamped my sentiments along the circle edge and then a few rhinestones and more sparkle to finish it. Voila!

Valentine bear hugs

Good morning. My creation today is a Valentine one using a retired stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps that is now closed. Yet this is still one of my favorite teddy bears. He makes for great Valentine cards.

The designer paper was my color inspiration for this card. Old paper from Doodle Bug paper pack that was called Sweet Things. I actually have only a few sheets left from this pack. Yes! :-)  I stamped and colored the bear with various Copic markers then cut around to pop up on dimensionals. Used a ODBD Pennant die for the designer paper and some textured swiss dots that I had sitting on the table for the background. Added some WOJ retired Die-Light arrows for the top corner. Finished it off with a few pearls and some sparkle. Voila! Have a wonderful day!
