HMF#143 Rain, snow, sunshine or what....

Happy Monday! Today on the House Mouse and Friends blog challenge #143 it is all about Weather. Rain, sunshine, snow whatever your imagine and work up in your creation. Be sure to visit the blog for all our sponsors and prizes!
For my creation I went with rain. I stamped my image onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with various copic markers. This is very simple in design ofcourse with just a little bit of lace trim and some ribbon. Scalloped the bottom edge and added some pearls. Voila! Hope you can play along with us this week!
What a weekend...  The twins had some friends over from school on Friday and they were all playing capture the flag in the backyard and front yard. Well one of the boys (same child who broke his arm last fall) decided to try and break his ankle this time. ugh... He came hobbling in and barely able to walk. His ankle was so swollen we took him to the doctor to get X-rays after awhile becuase we were afraid he had broken it. The xrays showed no fractures or broken bones, thank GOD!!!  He did however sprain it pretty bad and may have stretch the legimates a bit too much. So he has an air-cast on for about 2 weeks. If the swelling doesn't go down after a week we go back in for more x-rays. So far its slowly going down. What an ordeal... Just glad he didn't break anything.

Been super busy the last few weeks. One of those things was painting the exterior of our house. Recently while DH was in Washington DC for work I decided to paint  the house. The exterior of the house hasn't been painted since we built it 10 years ago and well it could use a fresh coat.  I started painting and got quite a bit done. DH came home to an 80% painted house and had to do the rest which was the 4 gables and the parts I could not reach.  However I did get most of it painted for him. Now I have to say that manual labor is NOT my thing.... that is a lot of work and next time I might think twice about it. I under-estimated the work involved  in all that. The house is completely painted now and looks fabulous! Now to get new carpet and things will be awesome. LOL  That will have to wait awhile he said.  :0)   Enough babbling... hope you have a fabulous day!

So pretty! Is that what's going on in my flower garden? I hope your son is doing okay. A sprain can be as painful as a break, but I'm glad to hear it's not broken. I can't believe you painted the house all by yourself! Ours is getting painted this summer, but I'm pretty sure my retired husband will be doing most of it himself.
