Game on

Morning! Been a week since I posted last, I know. Between not feeling well (seems to be going through our house) and all these games I have had no time to post. Good news is the tournament games are almost over, and we are in the championship games today and tomorrow. Win or go home as they say. We are pretty excited not to mention the boys. They are doing awesome!
I colored up this image last week as I was laying on the couch not feeling well. Nothing fancy as my mojo seems to of been on sick leave too. ugh. What a fun image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Slam Dunk. Colored with Copics and some added sequins. Off to a game. Have a wonderful Saturday!

Thank you

Happy Sunday and Release Day at Power Poppy! We have been sharing creations with you the last 5 days of Marcy's latest work in case you missed it. All the stamp sets are available NOW in the Power Poppy Store

My card today uses the beautiful Bloomin' Wonderful stamp set. This is also for the Featured Stamper 472 challenge. I choose this Blue vines card to case as I liked the white space and the blue.  ;-)  I kept the similair layout, a fines image and the blue. Instead of a blue border all around I just added it to the left side panel and some blue sequins accents. Kept a floral image with this from Bloomin' Wonderful. Colored with various Copics in a darker blue and purples. Added my sentiment to the bottom right. Voila!

Go rock this day

Go Rock this day! Today is Friday and another fabulous new set we are showing you for the February release. Power Poppy has been sharing creations the last four days of the new sets and today it is Small But Mighty Affirmations. This sentiment set is so fun and encouraging! Marcy has some inspirations behind this set over on the Power Poppy Blog.

This sentiment was calling out to me. I have a few ideas with this sentiment alone. hee hee  Tosh did a fabulous job with a record shaped card that you can see HERE. I took inspiration from that and tried my own. her version is super cute! This is for a teen male, so it is pretty straight forward and not a lot of fluff.  ;-)  I did add some textures to the teal panel and a few small brads. This record designer paper was perfect for the background panel. My sentiment popped up in the center of the look a like record and voila!

My English Rose

Happy romantic Thursday.  ;-)  We have the beautiful My English Rose to share in our February line up at Power Poppy today. This set is a must have for Anniversary cards and Valentines day or just because I love you cards. Check out Marcy's thoughts behind this set over on the Power Poppy blog.

This card turned out just like I pictured it and at the same time it did not. If that makes any sense at all. ha!  This is the single rose in My English rose that I stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. A simple scored border around the rose after it was colored and layered on a black panel. I wanted the classic black, white and red for this card. Some designer paper with hearts for the background panel. I stamped love down the side and added swiss dots textures to the right side of that panel. A few pearls to finish it off. Maybe the sparkle is missing? It just doesn't seem quite like I have it pictured in my head but at the same time it does?? Very strange. Anyways...  A gorgeous new set you will love when you see the entire package.  hee hee

Always a treat

Happy Wednesday and day two of the Power Poppy February release. We have several more days of sneak peeks of the designs Marcy has been drawing up for you. Today is the darling Folk Heart set, and be sure to check out the Power Poppy blog for Marcy's insight to this set.

A fun little treat bag is my sample today using the heart image in Folk Heart. This little birdie just makes me smile. I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored with various Copics. A simple die cut with a Spellbinders circle and then layered it onto a die cut of a retired Die-light doily die. Added my hash tag always sentiment to the corner. These tiny M&M's fit a lot in these little baggies too I have to say.  ;-)  then a sparkle to the top and some to the leaves. Voila! Cute little treat bag.

This set is called Planning for Magnolias. Yes! Marcy has some inspiration behind this set over on the Power Poppy Blog today. Be sure to check it out.

Happy Birthday Colin

Good morning! A quick card today using Batman Riley which I think is retired? I have all the super hero Riley's when they were first released and dusted off the batman one for my nephew's birthday card. I tried to make the yellow shine up like they do the batman symbol and added the star and number 2 to the top. My sister liked the card and Colin just sorta handed it over to her while he played with his toys. ha ha

Very easy with just a little bit of texture to the black panel cardstock and stickles on the number 2. Time was limited this weekend between the games and football practice. Today I am goona clean house and rest day. I am tired!  :-)  Be sure to check back tomorrow as the Power Poppy February release begins! Woot woot. Have a great day!

FS471 You're Amazing

This weeks Featured Stamper 471 is Michele G aka Michele. A very pretty gallery of creations. I know you will like. I almost went with a mouse card but I needed a special card for someone so I choose this Rose Blush Aperture Birthday card to case. I kept the overall layout, a flower, cut out frame with a circle and sparkles. Changed the flower, side they flower is on, sentiment, papers and added rhinestones. Enjoy your week Michele.

My Azalea's are stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. I used a spellbinders circle for the frame and cut around the traced marks and the flower petals. This creates a fun look and feel to the card I think. Some designer paper was layered onto the card base then the flower panel. Added my sentiment with a fish tale end, then some sparkles and jewels to finish it off. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Magnolia Sunshine

Happy Friday! Today I am getting around to the Power and Spark challenge this month which can be found HERE. This month's challenge is to change up your coloring medium.

My card today is using colored pencils. They add such a softer feel to creations. Here is the new Magnolia Sunshine printed on white cardstock. I used various colored pencils to color the blooms. I thought the teal like gingham was really pretty with the pink paper and yellows. My berries in the image are colored to match with the sequins to tie it all together.  Then the added sparkles to the blooms before it was all out together with the layers. Voila!

Be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for a list of all that are playing today!

Best Wishes Jennifer

Good morning! A little late asking, but did you enjoy the Super Bowl? I was very excited to see Denver win and hopefully Manning will decide to retire now that he went out with a bang.  ;-)  We will see in the coming weeks I guess. Great company at the house to watch and the food was perfect. Hope you enjoyed a great 50th Super Bowl also. On to my card...

One of the girls at my husbands work is moving on so I created a card for them all to sign using Hellebores. This is printed on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. Why not have a fancy swoopy edge down the side for fun?!? When this lays flat you see the yellow with swiss dots down the side. Added a few pearls and some sparkles for the finishing touches. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Colored up rose

Good morning! Are you ready for the weekend? I am sorta... we have a busy weekend with several games Saturday. One of those games is the twins teams playing against each other. We will be the parents cheering for both sides of each play. LOL I will probably lose my voice and if I don't lose it from that game I will mostly certainly lose it on Sunday watching the Super Bowl! WOOT WOOT!! What a weekend ahead...

Before we all get wrapped up into the festivities, over at Power Poppy we have quite the activity going on as well. Check out all our challenges we have for you to play in. Be sure to check out the PP Blog  for all the details!

I can't forget to mention the newest beautiful digi from the Instant Garden collection Magnolia Sunshine. Oh what a sweet new digi and so spring like. Marcy shared some inspiration behind this new digi. "It’s hard to mess up Magnolia Sunshine. Whether colored in or left alone, this showy medallion-shaped bouquet, featuring a remix of Saucer Magnolias, Trumpet Daffodils, and Snowdrops, leaps off the page. It's jam-packed with joyful details and is the perfect springtime digi stamp to add to your collection."

Time was a bit short this week for creating, however I did manage to color up another digi using La Vie En Rose. Oh la la! This rose is gorgeous and fabulous to color. I went with copics and plan to get to another coloring medium for Ally's challenge next week for you.  ;-)

When we originally released this rose I had masked out the tag that is attached to the rose for a free flowing rose creation and I kept that file. Gotta love being able to change a digi up. The sentiment comes from the other rose digi recently called Everything's Rosy. I just adore how you can intermingle digi's together just as I do my stamps. ha! Anyways... This is rather easy peasy design which lends to more focus on the beautiful rose I think. Just a few scattered jewels and some sparkle. Voila!

Ava Valentine

Good morning. Remember when you were in elementary school and you had valentine day parties? We used to make little pockets to hold that either hung from the side of our desk or we had ones that were put on top of the desk for all those sweet valentines from classmates. That was one of my favorite parties in school because it always had hearts on the cards somewhere.

A friend of mine asked if I could make up a name plate for her daughters valentine box at the school party. I was more than happy to help and I think it turned out super cute. Letters are from a retired set that is one of my all time favorites still. They are colored withvarious  Copic markers.
My heart to the right is a shaker heart with the hearts from the edge on the top and bottom. A heart swag die along the top left and of course added pearls and  flowers. Topped it all off with a lot of sparkle and voila! Hopefully she adores this as much as I do. Thanks for stopping in. Have a wonderful day!

Tied my matching tag off with some ribbons and a button and twine combo. Then some scattered jewels to finish it off, Voila!
